You can’t help but smile when you hear the Ocean right now!!! Man this band has been through a lot with the past director and changing over to a new director and direction… but they sound amazing. Props to PV too. Both bands have come a long way. In regards to this 5th though… Ocean definitely quieted the storm.

Nothing changed from zero quarter. Ocean chin-checked PV: better song selection, POWERFUL, and aggressive with every tune!!! Ocean’s PERCUSSION SECTION is grooving EVERY SONG 😂🤣🔥🔥🔥🔥, and Motion went ham! Motion makes the PV girls look dated and old fashion. Ocean is going to be a problem for a lotttt of bands. 💯💯💯💯💯
I thought the Black Foxes looked dated too! They gon hate playing us first game of the year, cause unless if they get a new director or staff, they ain't gon seem to EVER be ready against TSU! I'm a Marching Storm fan and I'm to figure out what happened to the Storm? The song selections is what I think it is. Come on Storm . Get that 2015, 16 sound and power back. Foxes vs Motion halftime I loved both performances. Foxes displayed more technique and Motion had everything else. Motion has technique too. They are a much different team. They are one of my favourite dance teams. Foxes will always be in my heart. My daughter was a fox. I can't take my eyes off the Fox that is two rows behind the captain to the left on the very end with blonde on the end of her hair. The girl is killing it! Love it!
TXSU has raised the bar and elevated the standard. PVAMU is solid with their volume and pretty clean but a little rough around the edges in spots. I enjoyed this battle all the same. The Motion was great as always but the Foxes were visually stunning. Saving the best for last, I think the PVAMU Flag team was the best thing I saw tonight.
It’s amazing how polished TxSU is this early in the season. Did they have a long band camp or a Navy Seal type bootcamp or something. How are they this far along?
TxSU won that 5th, they just sounded better overall. Their 1st song was so clean and their 2nd song was up there too. PV sounds good, but it seems like they was trying to blow to hard on some parts and they had some bad moments in a few songs. 1st game so it makes sense that that would happen but over all they sound good. TxSU was better on this day. Coming from a TnSU fan..AoB🎩🔵🔴
I have NEVER seen the comments section THIS CLEAN! UNANIMOUSLY TSU won. Comment after comment after comment the reviews are the same! Not even the lil PV puppets have come in to put their PV >> or PV won comments. It's like they left the stadium, went back to the band hall, put their heads down, and it just went quiet. Not a storm had stormed! I have NEVER seen this in my years in these comments. It's usually mixed reviews.... and with good reason. The storm drowned in the Ocean!
I gotta go with the vibe of TxSU and song selection and execution. Prairie View has a good size but it's just their execution isn't there. They start out so powerful and by mid way they're sounding uninterested. Is it just me? 🤔 Plus there has to be some horn holders in the tuba section!!!! Glad to see Simmons doing his thing!!! Simmons has the ocean sounding good and clean. TxSU TUBAS tho!🔥🔥🔥 The ocean have always had a strong tuba section as far back as I can remember. PV was loud but it was messy imo. Their neck was downright horrible. Not as strong as they were a few years back when they came to Mumford as gave the jukebox a good fight. From a juke fan.🐆
