As someone who spent a good part of my life in Saint Petersburg, your work stirs a deep, familiar ache in my heart for that enchanting city. There’s something about its winter that’s unmatched - a blend of elegance and mystery that wraps itself around you like the first snow. I find myself longing for those moments wandering through the Hermitage as snowflakes swirl just outside the grand windows. And when I close my eyes - I can almost taste the warm, spiced wine I sipped slowly in Peterhof and its aroma mingling with the crisp, frosty air... Thank you, dearest, for capturing something that brings all of this rushing back. It’s a gift to relive it, even for a moment, through your beautiful playlist.
Thank you for sharing such a beautiful memory, I’m very glad the playlist could bring back those moments for you. Saint Petersburg in winter really does have its own kind of magic. I hope you’ll have the chance to visit again someday and create even more memories like those :)
That magical feeling of walking through snow-covered streets at night, with snowflakes shimmering in the lantern light. The crunch of snow beneath your feet echoes in your mind, and for a fleeting moment, you feel the universe’s touch-soft and eternal. ‘Once Upon a December’ always stirs that melancholic longing for what could have been.
This video is SO UNDERRATED ?!!!!!!!!!!! i am so glad i found your channel. I will play this on Christmas and slow dance with my girlfriend one day for sure edit- we broke up .. :) it hurts , it truely does
Это настолько великолепно и качественно сделанная работа, видно что автором вложена душа, что я не могу остановиться смотреть и слушать 💝 спасибо, видео просто невероятно 🙏🌟
This is an absolutely wonderful video, the music and the images create such an enchanting atmosphere, it reminds me of my childhood when everything was so alive and magical and I was full of dreams of dancing like the characters in this video, dancing with someone who makes me feel truly known. Nothing feels real in the same way now anymore, though I still try to find enchantment in life again. A video like this helps me. I hope you'll make more like this.
(Netflix) Empress, The Nutcracker (1993), Anna Karenina (2012), Doctor Zhivago (1965), The Last Czars (Netflix), Anastasia (1997), Anna Karenina: Vronsky's Story (2017), Nicholas and Alexandra (1971)
I want to write about another film. When you see so many girls running forward, a man is urging them on, it is the film "Russian Ark" (2002). It was shot in one take in the Hermitage
I would say to anyone: go read a Dostoevsky novel. No writer captures the true spirit of the Russian people better than him. And go listen to Modest Mussorgsky.
Dostoevsky is certainly good, but greatly overrated, as for me. Personally, I dont feel the russian soul in his novels and Mussorgsky is wonderful, but what about Rachmaninov n Prokofiev, for example?
@@leberinaa if Dostoyevsky isnt your thing you can try Mikhail Bulgakov and Ivan Turgeniev. As for composers i could also recommend Shostakovich and Stravinsky :D
@brkenteacup n u r right about that. Turgenev is my favorite writer after Lermontov🫦🫦 Bulgakov liked the school very much, the special atmosphere I played Shostakovich in music school, and now I rlly love him and Rachmaninoff. I can also mention Khachaturian, but Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev are forever!
I think it is try to search for: O Come o Come Emmanuel The city of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra or another instrumental version (the music looks kinda slowed too)

There's also "The Empress" (Netflix). But if I'm not mistaken, the owner of the channel responded to a comment talking about the series. I think there are The Tsars or Nicholas II too.
@Ashiro_Sasaki the USSR was basically Imperial Russia with a bit of red aesthetics & communism sprinkled in. Ultimately what Putin wants to do is bring Russia back to its former imperial glory

Катюша в царские годы???
Чтоооооооо?)
It's more so about capturing the mood rather than sticking strictly to accuracy.
But you're Prince Myshkin in Imperial Russia.
