    Respectfully, as a Nuggets fan, I heavily disagree with a lot of the moves that you make in this video. The Nuggets need have a surplus of wings on the bench that are slanted to the defensive side of the ball. They need a backup pg and center. trading for Jared Vanderbilt (who was drafted by the nuggets and traded in his second year, all with Michael Malone coaching the team.) Trading for a player who is injury prone, and does exactly what Peyton Watson already does at a younger age, would be really dumb IMO. You also underrated what KCPs market will be. The Nuggets will have to pay over 20m a year for 3+ years to keep them (which they should.) I don't think drafting Furphy makes sense at all either. They need someone who can handle the ball off the bench so that Murray can be freed up off the ball in that unit like he was last year with Bruce Brown. I'm not gonna pretend to know anything about the players in the draft, but there are clear positions they need and do not need.
    They NEED to address backup pg and backup center. one of these should be addressed with the 28th pick, the other could be had in a trade. As long as they make a trade before they extend KCP, they can aggregate salaries in a trade, as KCPs new contract will push them into the second apron which means you can't aggregate salaries. There are multiple players I think they could target to make an immediate impact that have the salary number around 14 million, which is the combined salary of Reggie Jackson and Zeke Nnaji. My person dream scenario there would be Tyus Jones, but I don't know if the wizards would want to do that. Whichever position they address at 28, also needs a vet minimum signing as a contingency plan. You gave them Plumlee, I think thats a perfectly fine choice. I would personally want Gaga Bitadze assuming Orlando lets him walk given their depth at C with Mo Wagner and WCJ. I understand its hard to know this much about every team so I don't fault you, but I would personally hate this for the Nuggets. going into the season with Reggie Jackson as the backup point guard again would be a disaster.

      Okay a lot there so I’ll try to ask some clarification questions primarily. Love the detail by the way!
      My question mostly revolves around trade value for guys. I totally understand wanting to package Reggie and Zeke but those aren’t exactly valuable contracts. That’s why we traded a bad contract for a bad contract. Do you think Zeke is more valuable than I’m giving him credit for?
      I have other questions but I’ll leave ya this in case you do wanna talk more haha. My discord link is below if you ever wanna talk through your ideas! Love hearing people out in real time with this stuff.

      @@_AVC_ i should have clarified in my original post, in these trades the nuggets are giving up draft picks plus reggie/zeke and maybe a young guy if the other team likes one of tyson/pickett/strawther. The Nuggets can move their 2031 first or this year’s first (28th) if they do it on draft night. They have an all time great in his prime, they can’t not be aggressive even at making these moves on the margins

    • @_AVC_
      @_AVC_  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@jmoneysteck9725 Well yeah I figured the picks were involved haha. So my thoughts on that. The first is I agree you should try to be relatively aggressive this offseason, and the good news is they are really really close already. Those 1st round picks are nice because they give you a cheap way to fill your back half of the roster and an opportunity to grow your own talent. I can understand wanting to move them but you better be getting something good.
      I’m not sure I see the value of the package that much either. 2 presumably late first round picks, an expiring contract, and a bad contract. I don’t know how much that gets you. I could be wrong but that doesn’t sound too enticing.
      Regardless I’m not here to kill everyone’s thoughts haha. Who are you hoping to get for that package? I think that gets you like $13 million or something.

    I think this plan was solid and realistic for what I can see them doing. My only critique is the Furphy draft pick, I think Denver should go after someone who can contribute right away and Furphy can't at this stage. I would have rather gone Da Silva or if they are looking for a sharpshooter I think Baylor Scheierman from Crieghton is an underrated prospect with experience who could crack the rotation as a rookie. Otherwise, great video!

    The Nuggets need to replace the backup PG they lost when Bruce Brown left. They really needed his scoring bonus as Jamal Murray was hurt much of the year and Reggie Jackson is simply not playable in the playoffs (he didn't score at all in the last 3 games of the Wolves series). To get a good backup point guard who can give them 15ppg in the playoffs and be the 6th man they need, along with a viable backup for Aaron Gordon, and Nicola Jokic so their starters aren't gassed in the 2nd round of the playoffs (as Malone said they were) they may have to move off MPJ's $35m contract and get some viable role players they way Naz Reed and Walker are for the Wolves. They could decide to just wait the development of Peyton Watson and Christian Braun along with Pickett and Hunter Tyson (whom they like a lot and probably won't trade). I wouldn't sit pat, but they might do so.

I know that Jokić and Marey are staying 100%, in fact, I'm interested in whether because of those agencies and the rules regarding contracts, it's a little different here, whether MPJ has to leave Denver, whether Denver can keep the first five, or whether they let KSP , and instead of him, bring back Braun, Bruce Braun who "wanders" from team to team and won't be expensive (I hope), but that's another story, the essence of the question is whether the Nuggets can preserve the "skeleton" of the team, can it be without KSP, here to find, in addition to the others you mentioned - Jokić, Marey, Gordon and MPJ, is "those four in danger"?

If Ingram doesn’t agree to extend; I would see if I could offer MPJ for him straight up. Denver would lose spacing, however, the Nuggets get another ball handler who can create for himself and others.
    Free agents, I think the Raptors will decline Bruce Brown’s team option next month as well as Gary Harris (expired). Inquire about their interest in return back to Denver, that along with Braun and Watson’s development should be enough for the perimeter/wing.
    Another emphasis would be a backup big. Jonas Valenciunas, Xavier Tillman Steven Adams would be ideal; the main idea is a big body who can be a rougher player that offsets any physical plays. If not, they may have to inquire anyone who has questionable character issues such as Andre Drummond or Miles Bridges.

  • @msk362
    @msk362 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    One immediate thing that pops to mind, given that Nuggets are a 2nd apron team.....they are not allowed to make any trade in which they aggregate salaries or acquire back more than 110% of the salary they traded (previously 125% was possible....likely what your trade machine is showing).So for that reason, Vanderbilt trade is not possible.

    • @_AVC_
      @_AVC_  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah I was thinking about that and you are totally right. In essence though if you switch up the order of the events you can make it work, as there are points where you don’t touch the 2nd apron. But yes if I did it in this exact order it would not be possible! Great observation!

    • @msk362
      @msk362 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @AVC_Streams I still think it wouldn't be possible bc this 110% limitation also applies to first apron tax teams. Not trying to criticize btw...im just a basketball nerd lol. Love your idea of the draft day trade tho!!

      @@msk362 No I love it! We wanna be accurate with this! What if we reroute Hunter Tyson (I think that’s who I traded lol) to the Lakers instead? They need cheap reserves like anyone else. Do we hit it then? Cuz what are we off? Like 2ish million?

    • @msk362
      @msk362 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @AVC_Streams Issue is that being a second apron team, contracts cannot be aggregated to acquire a bigger contract.
      My personal thoughts on the Nuggets are the following:
      1. KCP will likely go for 20+ mil per year (I don't anticipate a discount bc this is his last opportunity and best opportunity for a big contract) with multiple suitors (ex: Sixers, Spurs, Pistons). If he leaves, Braun will be named a starter and nuggets will be left with a small (4-5 mil) mid-level. At that point they will have to consider if they wanna break MPJ into 2 players. I hope they retain KCP btw.
      2. Love your idea of trading our 2nd for a future second.
      3. What I think may happen at some point is that Zeke or Reggie may be traded alongside one of the three prized young players (Julian S, Peyton Watson, or braun) for a vet. Like I could see a young team willing to swallow Zeke's contract for the chance at Watson (esp with his upside).
      4. Veteran minimums
      What are your thoughts ?

    • @_AVC_
      @_AVC_  17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@msk362 Love this by the way. Very well done! Just touching on the trade idea again quick I presumed we would combine them while they are still technically in the 1st apron. But anyway let’s hit your points.
      1. I think he goes for a bit lower but yeah I see him coming back.
      2. 🤝
      3. I totally think that’s plausible. I’m not sure they have a player interesting enough to convince someone to take on his contract. Unless of course it’s a Vandy type situation where there is another contract they don’t want. But yeah we gotta do something with him.
      4. Yeah 100% haha.

Need to trade nnaji and I think even some of the young guys to get players who can help now its a crime to waste any more of jokics prime. Keep braun and watson unless there's something big we can get but we have to improve were getting worse every year we run it back and ksow lose a guy or two.
