My brother moved in and was a very dirty person so he brought in roaches. The method I learned from an exterminator back when I was a hospital dishwasher was:
1.) clear and clean the areas affected (for me it was the kitchen)
2.) fill an air duster with boric acid and spray the area of activity with a light subtle spray with more emphasis on the edges and crevices.
3.) after that repeat process after 14 days.
4.) after that repeat after 6 months.
    They should be gone.
Reason: boric acid gets picked up by their feet which tracks onto their food killing the first wave. The second wave is after those roaches die their brethren will consume their remains which still contains the effective boric acid. On the 14 day mark it’s for roaches who were laid/hatched in between those periods. And the 6 month mark is more of being cautious. Haven’t seen a roach in over 4 years since I did it. Results may vary. Good luck!

@@bharathiperumalan air duster is some type of tool I bought from Home Depot. It’s used to spray/disperse powder. I was instructed to spray enough to have them walk over and track it on their feet but not enough for them to visually notice it. I said emphasis on the edges of surfaces but really it’s wherever their high traffic is for your situation. Look up “air duster”. It should be like a pump type thing with a long skinny nozzle. Good luck.

Had roaches in my apartment fairly bad during 2022 and used a white odorless powder called orthoboric acid. It looks just like flour or baking soda. Purchased it a home improvement store. I live alone with no pets, so I spread it along the edge of the walls and inside closets and sink areas. Works great. I've seen only 1 live one and 1 dead one since July of '22. It's June of '23 as I write this. I recommend to use this in limited areas if pets or children are present.

Pest tech of 5 years here. This gentlemen is spot on. I personally use Advion gel bait for roaches and ants. One thing most people expect from me is for me to eliminate the roach infestations that same day. Well, I hate to break it to ya folks who think this, but that's as about as close as to impossible as can be. Approximately 2 weeks, the gel bait works (as he said, KEEP YOUR HOUSE CLEAN OF FOODS during this process), then follow-up with spray or dusting. Some believe vacuuming live roaches is the way but if there's babies, thats what the gel and IGR are for 😎

My advice: diatomaceous earth, please try it, it is a powder that has similar properties to the little bags of silica packets that come in packages to keep moisture away. When the roaches walk around, the powder will stick to them and in kill them within a few days, the reason is that this powder absorbs the moisture and water out anything with an exoskeleton, and since it’s not a poison they can’t get immunity to it. Best part is that when the roaches walk back to their nest, they tend to walk over one another and stick the powder to each other. After a days, make sure you clean any nests dead nests or corpses you might see, please it works wonders and we no longer need an exterminator that may cost thousands. Also make sure to re-apply every now and then

This is the best information I have ever heard. I just had my yearly termite "inspection" which was basically worthless. I asked about pest control, and what they do is spray a perimeter spray around the house three feet up once every quarter. I said, "What about the pests in the house?" I had always heard (past resident of Florida) that they nest in walls. I don't see how a perimeter spray does anything except keep new ones from coming in, especially since I live in a brick house. This was very helpful.

Roches like to come out especially on hot nights to look for food n water. They have an amazingly uncanny ability to find even very small amounts of water but the kitchen sink is their fave bcz they come up around cracks around the pipes. Spraying in n around the sink with vinegar or even mouthwash will keep them away. They'll still come looking but there'll be less of 'em. Best thing is to seal up around the pipes airtght so even the tiniest can't come thru

In one week's time - they were completely eradicated. Not that messy because you can refill the caps or just dispose these and make another one. It is so cheap and very effective.

Acrylic caulk that is for kitchens and bathrooms. I'm not good with a caulk gun so I bought the kind in a tube that you squeeze. (Like a tube of toothpaste only much bigger.)
I caulked all the baseboards and cracks in every room, not just the kitchen and bathroom. Scrubbed the stove, stove vent, cabinets, handles AND hinges from any grease or food. I mean every nook and cranny!
We have square glued down tiles in kitchen and bathroom so I bought Quick Shine. It not only livened and shined the floors, it sealed the tiniest gap between tiles. Roaches can find and eat the most miniscule crumbs we can't see. So, two coats I applied.
Got some foam in a can and used it around pipes that come in from outside.
Then, I got boric acid and dusted under the stove, beneath the bottom kitchen drawers, in back of bottom kitchen and bathroom cabinets, behind and under the fridge.
Only thing left to do is take cover plates off light switches and outlets, and dust inside of them.
This has been a job! It took a lot of time, effort and elbow grease but is working!
You have to, in my opinion, do every room. When I applied boric acid, they came scattering out. I didn't want a single gap or crack for them to escape into.
      (Also, closets.)
Things are worse in the respect I'm seeing more, but it is them trying to escape.
Also, vacuum everyday, take trash out daily and dry sinks after using.
They can't live without food and water. And can't live after being exposed to boric acid.
I know this is long, but hopefully helps.
Needless to say, I'm wore out but in a positive and sense of accomplishment type way.

Very smart of you and you didn’t fill your home with a bunch of poisons. I also went into the Crawspace and sealed all openings around water, drains and electric lines. They were using those openings as highways. I also applied about 5 pounds of powered boric acid and 20 pounds of diatomaceous earth on the perimeter of my Crawlspace. I also sealed under the outdoor siding. No poisons that are harmful to pets or humans. I also leave spiders alone outside and in the Crawlspace. They’re part of my pest control.

Are these products available online or threw your store? If so how costly are the products and will they work for a 20-30 year infestations. We inherited a home that has always had roaches we were told that many products were tried and there's an immunity to many products. Also are there any natural products good for roaches.
