Theres no shame in bringing in a foreign coach if your own ones aren’t up to it. England have done so why not the US that hasn’t been playing at the highest level for very long and its not a football country. A foreign coach will also be able to teach the team some of the dark arts other teams will use in tournament football and how to play against it without getting riled and punching people. Theres an art to it. The US still has a lot to learn about how to play tournament football which is generally a lot more pragmatic than club football.
