Hey Jared great exercise for all the limo interdependence. Got my hands up to 90 which was and still is challenging. Tonite got my feet involved. Now to still play at 90 will take a bit. Thanks for sharing
Excellent! Fun beat to throw around different directions. I'm fusing it with jazz and punk, crazy. Anyone having trouble with this, I recommend learning basic bossa nova pattern first. That is a great pattern to help get your brain around separating tasks.
oh yes!...really helpful not just for the rhythm itself but coz you get even a better indipendence!....... thanx a lot!....i spend the whole evening yesterday practicing on it and now i've got another great rhythm in my musical suitcase!
this is actually sick. just got it locked -- for some reason the second note of the LH was makin it super tricky, but as usual, super rewarding when you get it!
Hi guys, Im from Argentina and this channel helps me a lot!!! can you guys do a lesson in depth about traditional grip? That would be awesomeeeee, bye and thanks you!
No, you can't download these and use them on your channel. You're welcome to embed our upload onto your website but you can't upload them onto your channel. Also, you should consider changing your channel icon as that's our graphic that we created.
Nice. Thanks Jared. When are you going to change your shoes bro? Just send them over to Omaha, Nebraska when you want to so I can absorb the greatness. Sign them too please.
Jared, If I could make a suggestion. Please do not fell offended. Would be a great attribute to also suggest how to put some of the pattern, beats, etc in some context for us. Many times I go with your stuff for coordination skills, and put much effort into them. then I say to myself, now what. Unfortunately I don;t have insight on application. Great lessons and thankx
Hey Guys, check out this short vid on applying this pattern with a Led Zeppelin's "fool in the rain" by Sherry Clayton. I had previous asked how this pattern can be used. Sherry put this together. I was thinking inside the box, something afro-cuban, etc. Daah, how bout rock, etc....
This question is not about the video. I watch all of yalls stuff. I was wondering what kind of in-ear monitors does Jared use, and are they wireless. Thank you.
Drummers, if you're serious about learning Afro-Cuban rhythms, please go to the source. Not any of these guys. Have some respect for the culture. They wouldn't know a bonko enchemiya from a tres dos.

Practicing the different beats separately is relatively easy. When you try to play them all together at once, my mind explodes.
I just want to thank you for these lessons. I have grown alot as a drummer because of your videos. :)
Jared's lessons are like the best I learn more from him
Can't wait to show this off to my buddies at drumline :D
Very fun beat to play! thanks!

awesome! i can't wait to practise this!
Just played em today! You'll see the lesson in April sometime :)
This is great! And very different... Love how it's labelled "crazy tom beat" on the Smart Beat screen :P
He does a crazy rhythm using quintuplets with his left hand. SO good. It's on TH-cam so search for it if you want to check it out.
Yes, you did in fact inspire me. Thank you :D !
im watching this at 2.30 at night so i cant practice now but daammnn im excited for tomorrow!
No, I've had this one for a long time. It's a Yamaha Recording Custom anniversary series.
That was the goal!

I have a tom tuning video on this channel... The hi-hat question is tough, you need to find the sound you like then buy them.
Hey Jared- great lesson! I'm taking this to my kit soon.

It's a small Pearl Mike Mangini signature popcorn snare. It's not mine, Dave Atkinson owns it I just stole it for this video.
Watch the lesson, I explain that right at 1:09
u should make a video with marching snare and tenor drum
jared... you're awsome...

I just have an irrelevant question here. Which drumstick is better, heavy or light?
Do all of you guys on freedrumlessons use the shure 535 IEM?
It was 10 feet away from me when I was recording this.
I see. What about the other one you played in the other videos? Or maybe I'm just looking at this one wrong. You used it in the Evan's 360 demo.
Where can I access the smart beat technology?

How can i play heel toe on double pedal evenly?? I kind of stop at each double stroke of each leg..

Is that a new kit, Jared?
Where can i buy evans level 360??? I need them!
What happened to your DW?
Cool
What happened to your Yamaha electronic?
That set sounds so rich
Very difficult! We need 4 brains to do that
Is it just me does it sound more like your swinging at 4:22?
Is that a china stack?
Listening to that beat makes me feel like I'm going to war
its called a popcorn snare
ql!
Hey
Is that a "poly-rhythm"
yup
It’s just different rhythms laid in a way that lay accents against eachother. It’s all in 12 or 6, however you hear ut
You don't need new instruments to be a better musician.
Oh, I'n not the first.
4th! :)
Oh god...
Its like a puzzle lol
Try again....
thats like some danny carey shit
