BioIonic 1” Curl Tutorial

We LOVE texture and waves over here at Branch Salon! Here’s a quick curling tutorial using the following products and tools ...
1. Spray dry hair with a thermal mist protectant spray. We love Formula 18 Thermal Mist.
2. Spray Davines Dry Texture Spray all over hair, brush with paddle brush. Spray again and brush once more.
3. Section hair on one side first and take small sections, heat hair a tad with 1-2 passes of iron before curling.

I achieve a “Hollywood curl” by using a larger iron, 1 1/4”, then spray, then brush out. This is best fir hair that is 2-3 days dirty for optimum hold.

I have the Bioionic 1 1/4 and I feel like my curls fall out right away. Would the 1inch be better?

Hi Haillie! I would recommend using a dry texture spray, brush out, then curl. If still not holding; then yes, switch to a 1" barrel. :) Happy Hair Days!

Have you tried the 1.25” from them if so do you prefer the 1 or the 1.25?

Hi! Yes, I use both the 1.5” and 1” iron. I prefer the 1” because the curls are a little tighter and last longer. On day 2, I can brush them out and they give a nice wave bs curl. The 1.5” gets too loose after 1-2 days. I wash my hair every 3 days.
