@@DeanFamilyAcres I will do an update video soon. They didn’t take so I want to share that aspect of it and tell why I don’t think it took. I am going to try it again soon.
Amen brother! I’m 65 and rarely have any help. Thanks for the video. I loaned out my rotary cutter and shortly thereafter seal leaking. Gonna be a pain to replace. Ever done it before. Just replaced seals in my tiller. Had to take it apart then order parts. Several rains and working on dirt but I covered everything and finally got it done.
The reality of working on your equipment without all the equipment you might need. The story of my life. lol Thanks for sharing the "unseen" of videos, Ronnie.
Oh yeah….those old blades needed changing alright. The joys of working solo sometimes are out-weighed by the frustration of not having enough hands. Living in the Granite State…..I am rough on equipment. Have a good week Ronnie !
Hey, that was a horse fly attacking you, don't be givin bees a bad wrap. lol I'll have to see if I have a 1 11/16, just in case. No telling what size mine are, it's an off brand built here in Oklahoma. I bought a big set of those 3/4 sockets at lowes last month, they had a sale. Time for a Rigid 1/2" impact. Yeah, I'd rather keep my acres and work on junk like that than live in a hive of people. You mean it's not all like Justin Rhodes? LOL Dang, man, I was waiting for the friend to show up with the 1" impact to save the day. Hope you got that thing off of there. I'd just keep beating that thing to pieces, no need in trashing a nice one til you get all the junk out of there. You'll get it all cleared up eventually, I've seen your persistence in action. Good luck man!
Haha hey it might have been a horse fly! I need to buy me a big set. I’ll check Lowes out soon. I want a big Ridgid impact! Soon lol. It’s still on there. Going to try to use a bottle Jack to see if that will break it a loose. Oh I’m wouldn’t move to the city. I was meaning a nice flat 5 acres lol. I was just running my mouth and aggravated. It hit me again today when I was cutting grass. Front yard is so bumpy and washed out. I need to get it fixed. Thanks buddy!
@@EarlybirdFarmSC a bottle jack?? I'll have to see that. Man, if I was closer, I'd run over and we'd get that sucker off of there. I was thinking, I don't have a 3/4 breaker bar either. My big one is 1/2. The bar that came with those sockets isn't very long. Good luck
@@JeromeBeeFarm Yeah if I just had a long pipe I think it would come off. Yeah I’ve heard of using a bottle Jack for other things but that sounds like a good plan to me. If I had one I’d try it lol. I think you need to me to SC lol 😂 we could help each other out!
We understand completely! Lol Come on now, homesteading isn’t easy? 😂 Thanks for showing the reality. We try to show some of that as well. I am not patient either. If you get out of working on equipment without swearing you are doing well. 😂 😆 Ben says maybe try a longer pipe for more leverage to break the bolt free. You need some sheep or goats. Lol if we were closer we would be out to help. Not sure how far you are from Yancey County…..
Yeah I need a long pipe. I am going to go buy a section of black iron pipe to see if that will work or another friend suggested using a bottle Jack to break it a loose. I might give that a go. I think I’m right at 3 hours from y’all. I’m just South of Charlotte, NC. I live in what is called the Charlotte Metro area but I’m in SC. Yeah I would like to get some sheep or goats. Only thing stopping me is having to find someone to feed them when we leave. Thanks for watching, I truly appreciate you guys!
Come to think of it I used a bottle jack to break the not loose on the blade of our riding lawnmower a while back at work it’s just a bit precarious when it let go. You could try a piece of PVC pipe but of course that runs the risk of breaking the pipe but if you have one on hand might be worth a try :-)
@@RenewedHomestead Yeah I don’t have a piece of thick pvc or I would give it a go. That is a good idea though. All I got is done black iron pipe I use for my table clamps but it’s too small of a diameter to use. I might could use a long board and drill a hole in it. That might work.
Great honest opinion. Can't say we haven't thought about that as well. Having too many interests and hobbies certainly doesn't help.
Thanks Buddy. You got that right. It would be 10 times easier if I just had flat land with a grass pasture lol. Everything is sloped here lol.

I feel your pain. It’s hard working on something on the ground. One day I’ll have a shop. Good luck in changing that seal!

Those blades were beat up for sure! I know it's frustrating sometimes but it makes you practice patience.....it's supposed to....I have none!
Lol I have none either. It is so aggravating some though! There is never a time to just sit and enjoy. Thanks
Oh, it’s must have been a wasp 🤣
No I think that was a bee. The wasp flew away. Thanks for watching!
