I have a 99 V92C. The "choke" is called a throttle advance according to a Victory now Indian dealer. They do have a longer warm up time than most bikes. They are a very fun bike to ride.

When they are running good they are awesome bikes. However I know of 3 different people with V92C that can't ride them because they just won't run right, always super rich idling, scan them and no faults or codes. Seems to be a problem for the early fuel injection. Glad you are the exception. I rode one that was running good and liked it very much, so much torque! Thanks for watching 🐲

Unfortunately this one was riddled with electrical issues. They are great bikes and run strong.

Great looking bike indeed. Damn shame it had so many electrical problems. We did alot of work to it, but it never did run right, scanned it and no codes came up, then sent it out to have it scanned and couldn't find anything either, it just would not run right. The customer decided not to spend anymore money on it. Thanks for watching 🐲

What's the general consensus on these bikes? I'm looking at a couple right now but I don't know reliability on these

It's 50/50, I find people either love em or hate em. Over all they are great bikes with an awesome engine and last a long time. I feel the electronics and fuel injection is where most of the problems happen. It was that Era where bike companies like Harley and Such were new into the fuel injection game and it was a bit quirky back then. The later bikes were a bit better and have more support. This actual bike became a money pit and the owner decided to stop dumping money into it and it's getting hard to find some parts for them, there was several companies who specialized in these, but you don't see them much anymore.

Not sure, this was a customer's bike, that he had just bought, they were already on it.

    What was the cure?

Never did find out, took it to have it scanned and they couldn't find any fault codes. I swapped computers and everything. Believe now it was something to do with the wire harnass.

@thedragon2299 discovered on mine, the oil temp sensor on the rear cylinder, is prone to having the contacts get loose and create an intermittent rich condition. Ecm reads it as -40° and pours fuel in, creates a dead front cylinder, and fuel fouls the spark plug. I've been chasing this intermittent issue forever.
