**NOTE to ACRYLIC Pouring Artists ~ Black 3.0 works best if its not diluted too much, that includes pouring medium. I have used this in another video as part of a pour, and the black was not as "black" as this. :) Part of the formula is that it doesn't refract light. So adding anything - water, gloss medium, floetrol that has any type of shine to it will make it less matte, and therefore less black. However, I HAVE used it as an embellishment and also as a balloon roll and it worked better. Have fun and stay safe!! :)

I love black and white paintings, but this one -- wow! I *adore* this piece, Heather! 😍 The Blackest Black paint is fascinating, and the white ink layers are like the finest silk gauze or chiffon. This creates an amazingly effective design. I wouldn't add any sheen to it at all -- is there such a thing as a matte varnish? That's the way to go, I think. 🖤🤍
yes there is a matte varnish, but it will detract from the pearlized effect of the pearl alcohol ink. So I'm going to use the Satin varnish spray, which is a compromise. :)
That is very Stunning...I have been thinking about learning how to use Alcohol inks in different techniques.. This was awesome and I do have an Air Brush...this gave me a great idea for my sister who loves the ocean and Ocean Life ..she would want color....but this with that stunning black and the white is so beautiful...I personally LOVE IT!!!! Hi, Heather! I commented on this piece the day you posted it, but I have a question now about your airbrush compressor. I live in a condo, so I'm wondering how noisy it might be. I've bought just about every Ranger alcohol ink available, thanks to your inspiration, but I'm hesitant about the compressor if it's too loud. I can definitely see that the compressor creates better results. The one you have in your list looks rather large, so I IMAGINE it's loud. Would you mind commenting?
They are loud, but I have a couple on my list....the one that has the air "reserve" is the one I like the most. It builds up air noisily and holds it until u use it. I don't know any air compressors that are whisper silent sorry. But it's within normal limits of an apartment complex for daytime use before 10pm I would imagine

I definitely love alcohol inks - but they don't love me. (I don't physically feel great when using them) So I do them as often as I can. :)

I'm going to finish with a Satin...satin is very light, and will enhance the pearl. I don't want a matte finish to dull the pearl.

thanks for giving the idea of coated the canvas with painted first. becos alcohol ink doesnt work well on canvas. Its hard to find big yupo
Yeah I also use KILLZ 2 for alcohol inks and that seems to work well
