Nice, attractive looking knife. Not the first button release knife, but certainly nice action. I question it being a tanto blade, though. Doesn't "tanto" require 2 cutting edges. This is more a "sheepsfoot".Finally, the most intriguing thing you mentioned in your review was "velvety" aluminum:two juxtaposed words never seen or heard together in my whole life and may be the only experience I'd buy this knife for! (Could be up there with "rich Corinthian leather"!)
ths tai technically it’s a reverse tanto, which is different from a regular tanto. Regular usually has a straight edge until it cuts back at the tip, as where a reverse tanto has a little belly with the more tanto-ey part along the spine.

@@mikerose4013 no problems, but the company I bought it from doesn’t put their business name (which contains “knife” in the title lol) on their packages, so no red flags have gone up at the border.

I just ordered a reverse tanto from DLT Trading. I’m still torn about the wharncliffe, but hopefully made the right choice.

Benchmade 940 kind of has a finish on the aluminum scales that I might describe as “velvety” or perhaps “powdery”.
Ben Peterson’s inspiration for the clip on the we banter, was Protech.
