    Very useful session. Now I am very clear with telescope and microscopes. But sir in the last question you did m=fo/fe. But sir it is m= -fo/fe

      yes took only magnitude, that's why. If the actual Magnifying power is used then use -ve magnifying power to cancel with - of the formula

      the sine of half the angle subtended by the aperture at an object point times the index of refraction of the medium between the object and the objective lens. But not a part of syllabus
