Oh my goodness, I would have to spend hours on the treadmill preparing for all of the steps! So thank you for sharing such wonderful glimpses of a beautiful area!!!xx
Thank you ! It's true that exploring this town was a big workout there were so many staircases everywhere, but after a good meal it's very easy to do :)
What a truly beautiful video, your details are such a tribute to the town. I am very much looking forward to visiting it! The sculpural relief frieze of the gargoyles and other beasties was one of the highlights and I loved the mystical quality your filming and music evoked.
It's a wonderful town, one of my favourite on our south east of France I think I have another vlog I added in 2020 or 2019 I couldn't find it , buit I know I have another one also on this town it's really worth seeing ! and the train trip to go there is magical !
The name of the patron saint of lace-makers is Saint Jean-François Régis (1590-1640)(his family name was Clet)(he was buried in Lalouvesc, in the district of Ardèche, not far in the south-est of Le Puy).
Youps. In fact the family name of the saint is Régis, his christian name being Jean-François. Régis became a christian name rather common in France due to the popularity of this saint.
Enchante'e. En italie a Burano Venice on fait le crochet meme. La France est toute belle! Comme l'Italia. (Incantata. In Italia a Burano Venezia si fanno questi pizzi. La Francia è tutta bella, come l'Italia).
Ah oui! je ne savais pas qu'il y avait cette tradition à Burano, Le puy est très connu pour sa dentelle. Absolument, l'Italie est tout aussi magnifique!

At 8:00, this priest in white is the patron saint for the lace-makers of Le Puy-en-Velay and the Velay area.

Pardon mais en tant qu’Auvergnate il m’est INSUPPORTABLE d’entendre : Puy en Vlay il y a un E ont dit VELAY
