I constantly hear people talk about bring back real Hip Hop/Rap. EDO.G has been working his craft non stop for over 25 years! A true Hip Hop Legend in Boston and well respected world wide. As most of you stated in your comments he always rhymes with a message and doesnt rely on a repetitive lyrical hook to sell his joints. Today's industry rappers who put out songs every 3 days really need to put in work on their lyrical flow and messages in their music. EDO G. true to his music, production and fan base.

Peace! I had the EDO G test pressing for " I Got To Have It" back in 90' from 45 King in NJ. This artist just as inspiring today as 23 years ago. If you are a young cat coming up- and you want a future as an actual "artist," this is the cat to follow. I've seen very few rap careers this deep where at the present they are still as clear and hard as EDO. That includes a lot of the more prominent artists who had bigger records in his time- they're gone. Peace!
Reason why Edo G is one of my top 5 is because he always rap about life situations on every album he makes. You can't tell me he isn't a legend, that's one of my favorite rappers learning from him I always rap about the struggle and reality! I'm just glad he still rapping, he isn't that old! +91Definite I saw him in Northern Spain with a Spanish friend and he's easily one of the realest I've ever met. Not only did he walk in through the front door to his own show, but after the concert I got to talk to him for a minute and I jokingly asked him what he thought about so many people were wearing Yankees hats.
