Always was a huge fan of Bill Groll. Even more so when he was with the Bombers. He and O'Connell were a perfect pair.

I remember when they were teammates on New York Chiefs in the 1971-72 season! Boy what a joy to see them as teammates!

The Bombers had what would almost be considered an all-star mens field. O'Connell, Groll, Roman, Gammon and my favorite skater, Cliff Butler.

My greatest pleasure was seeing Mike Gammon and Tony Roman on the same team. If they were on different teams, Tony’s team was my favorite. The Bombers team 1977 was one of their great teams
