We lost a great musician, singer and entertainer when he died. RIP M arty Robbins, I look forward to seeing you up in heaven with other country singers. Love you you were my favorite!
Been a fan since 1971(I was 5 and my mom married my stepdad who had a great country record collection, with "Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs").No man born of woman EVER sang better than Marty!
Marty was the best.I live in the town he was born in my sons went to the same school he did but different years in Glendale AZ.He had a twin sister. He's gone but his music lives on.His son and daughter are wonderful singers also.
@@terrycarr6880 i loved white sportcoat when it came out! And it was the epitome of my teen yrs when it came out!! And i LOVE Tompall & the Glasers!! No one can sing or entertain any better, some not near as good!! Them & Marry together were great& i think helped make his sound & style?!
I believe Marty Robbins could sing the phonebook successfully. I've heard him on Late Night Radio just come in to the studio I'm staying with and without a guitar just talk to people
I think all the women were/are in love with the AMAZING Mary Robbins. Think some of the men too, even though they're straight lol. He'll always be #1 for me. ❤
Been a admirier and fan since early 6o,s I hear eddy Arnold, in his first songs. As with mine. Think about this a sec ..eddy a. Was known as the tenn cowboy , and sang good real country. Marty other hand sang white sports coat. Great song.... Bot not hard core country.. Later the country guy eddy A sang. ( What's he doing in my world) a newer more refined country, while Marty r. Sang songs like don't worry bout me, and I'll walk alone. Ever think about how these to of the worlds greatest singer/songwriters Reversed their original take on country music. Of the two, I think Arnold changed his a&r more than Marty Zeke thomas
I would have to disagree with Merle's assumption that Marty didn't 'know how great he was.' I think he was fully aware of his immense talent; not only that beautiful voice, but also the wonderful talent that had Marty creating his own material for most of his career. Add on the way he could entertain a crowd, well, he just had it all.
If it’s popular, then it’s pop. I never listened to Country music. But I knew “El Paso” and Jonny Cash’s “Ring of Fire” from Top 40 type stations. Both were hits and qualify as ‘Pop’.
@@mattskustomkreations that’s not what “pop” means bro…. Not even close lmao.. if that was the case a lot of songs in multiple genres were in the same genre bc it is popular.. that’s not how it works…
@@mattskustomkreations “Pop music is a genre of popular music that originated in its modern form during the mid-1950s in the United States and the United Kingdom. During the 1950s and 1960s, pop music encompassed rock and roll and the youth-oriented styles it influenced.”-google
@@antonioacevedo634 Huh? Pop music has been a common thing since the late ‘40s / early ‘50s. “Pop” is short for “Popular”. That IS how it works. Sure, pop CAN be rock’n’roll, but it doesn’t have to be. Probably not much of it is rock today though.
One of the best voices ever ,so natural, no modern singers come near.

The fantastically talented Marty Robbins. His "Devil Woman" album was the first album I bought that I loved every song on it, and still do.
Beautiful song 🎵❤😍
Listening even from Townsville, Nth. Qld., Australia.

Just the best. Loved him.
I saw him one time and I was so happy, it was like I was the only one in that audience and he singing only to me!
surrounded himself with great musicians and wonderful back up singers who were probably good enough to stand alone. entertainer supremo!!
The back up singers were Tompall and the Glasser Brothers on A White Sportcoat.

MARTY ROBBINS, the Bestest.👍 👍
At around the 4:48 mark, I totally agree with Barbara Mandrell in that an entertainer is best when he/she is an all-around type of artist.
Beautiful voice, loved him and the fantastic merle haggard together. 2 best ballad singers ever. Sweet music up their now🙏
Absolutely fantastic
Marty's guitarist been with him since he started one of the best
Jack Pruitt
How can you dislike this 16 people who have no soul.

What a singer and live as well. What have they don to today’s music.
Saw M. R. at the GOO, in 1967. I was 17 ys. old. To this day I cannot remember anyone else, that was on that show.

The 3 backup singers at time 3:11 when Marty is singing "A White Sport Coat" are Tom Paul and the Glaser Brothers.

A voice like liquid gold.
With those GLASER boys!! YES!!
One of the best singers I know of
He was one of the three greatest singers of all time
I loved how he would cut up during his live performances. Elvis did the same things.

❤Marty Robbins❤
The first song I heard was White Sport Coat. They must have played it 100 times while we traveled over the Rockies from Oklahoma to Washington State.
Marty was a bit of an odd duck, I thought he was great! His music came from his heart.
Thank you
🙏🤗🍺cheers
With the Glaset brothers, I love Tompaul.
Effortless ❤👌🙏

What about self penned Jeannie and Johnny as a rock song.
So so so much better than Elvis
