Watching this video (again?) after the passing of the late great Willie Mays. Thank you Mike for helping instill a love and appreciation for the game and it's great ones. RIP Willie Mays 2024

Excellent showcase of the Say Hey Kid!
I only have 10 Willie Mays playing days regular issue cards; but ironically I have the '52T and '52B as part of that 10. I'm jealous though- you've got his RC AND his Perez Steele auto!
Thanks for sharing some awesome cards brother.

Amazing showcase Mike! Just a little more impressive than mine. 😂😂 Don’t forget he’s in at least one league leader card in 1964. And I’m surprised you don’t have a 64 Topps Giants card of his. Always loved that set but have yet to pick up any.

Nice showcase Mike, Mays certainly is a top 5 all time player. I rank him #1 personally. I do have a 52’ topps in a psa 1. My Mays run still needs the rookie to be complete but I do have the 52’ topps (psa1) 52’ bowman (raw vg/mk) and a 53’ topps in fair condition. Happy thanksgiving mike

You have inspired me to do the same with with my fav player Miguel Cabrera. I cannot get them all graded of course lol but I would love to start with his rookie yr and move up from there. It will take me a looooong time but it will be worth it in the end. Thanks for sharing all of these with us. That is an impressive collection !!

Absolutely love the Mays collection. Mays and Griffey are my main two players I'm working up a collection on. I am working on a 50s Mays collection, with an exception of his rookie card and 1952 and 1953 cards. I do, however, own his Exhibit rookie, which works fine for me. I have it in a PSA 5.5 and bought it for just under 60.00.

I'm guessing a way not to pay him.

Nice Willie Mays run! Love the 67 Fence Busters, crazy how McCovey looks huge standing next to Mays. The 58’s are beautiful with the blue background. Looks like one you’re missing is the 61 Most Valuable Player card? It has a similar blue background as the 58’s.

I guess I get confused when you say playing days autograph. Just because he signed a 1966 Topps cards doesn't mean it was signed in his playing days. Was probably a $40 convention auto.

Nice! I have a “big Willie” coming in…….
Willie autos are easily forged and non authentic stuff is cheap. He and Aaron were neck and neck signing for sports card companies until mays stopped in 2013/14 ish. He hasn’t done any more and I suspect mays certified card autos will be 2x Aaron, and spike tremendously when he passes. Mark my words
