  • A new "quickie" ;-)
Watch me, playing both of my Squier basses in a nice, funky jam!
Please use HQ speakers or headphones, and remember to stay funky! ;-)
    Thanks a lot for watching!

Nice! I dig both sounds, but the P-bass has it all to my ears. I'm a sax player wanting to learn bass--thinking of the Squire P-bass. Do you think the Affinity is good enough, or should I shell out a few hundred more for the classic vibe?

Hi there! The Affinity series basses are not bad, with a few shortcomings reagrding the hardware and the pickups. You can easily upgrade these things, but I´d rather suggest to get a "Classic Vibe" series or a "Vintage Modified" series second hand instead! Thx a lot for watching and commenting! All the best & stay safe!

Man, your playing is absolutely killer, as groovy as it gets, and the tone is so delicious. A few years ago I got the classic vibe 60s J bass and it's wonderful, and now I really really want that 60s P bass, but those older classic vibe P bass seem to be disappeared from the used market as well. Did you have the chance to try the newer version? Do you think it's as good as the older one or it's worth keeping checking the used market for that fiesta red beauty? Thanks a lot man

Thx so much for your kind words!
The newe CV series of basses isn´t bad either. But you could always look for a used one of this series. They shouldn´t be too hard to find!
All the best, stay safe & healthy!

Wáaaah couldn't be funkier ! Any bass sounds good in your hands. What Squier / year is that p-bass ? Pups & electronics still original ? I tend to put flats on all my basses, they just sound better and need less fiddling around with the eq to get a decent tone. But where the funk have you learned to play such badassly, may I dare to ask ;o) ?

Thx a lot for your kind words. These Squiers are from the first Classic Vibe series, and both are completely stock. (Except for the additional "bass mute" by Ellio Martina Guitars on the P-Bass). All the best!

Its a finger rest, most people take it off, to have better accessibility, especially when slapping!
