Thanks for visiting Maxs Garaj Mahal. Y'all come back and see us, ya heah?
did it help out with traction?
Actually does. There are considerations of course such as are they meant for road use and if so, they may be a harder rubber compound so the grooves need to be wide as I demonstrated. Some people attempt to use an 1/8" wide cut which actually doesn't do much of anything so the lugs have to be far enough apart in order for the base of the cut to get to the surface in order for the tall lug to be able to bite.
Hope that helps and thanks for watching.
Great tool for the job, they tend to be quite loud though.
Yes Sir, they do. It is louder on the video than on the ears in person though.
👍
Thanks for the thumb's up!
Great video as always Max!
Thank you kindly!
Id end up puncturing my tire..lol..but seriously I thought about trying to deaggressify my zero turn super lugs and make the more like AT101s. Have u ever heard of that?
Yes sir, we've put golf cart tires on some mowers to make sure the turf wasn't bent or the dirt below disturbed in any way for golf courses. It is the operator more than anything as I can run super aggressive tires and not harm the soil or grass.
Great demonstration Max how to cut those tires patterns I do have one of those tool you are cutting the tires with always looking forward watching your videos another great one.
I appreciate it Sir. The Grassmasters from the RSD60 aren't going to be cut. They are way too short and slow the mower way down. I prefer being able to mow at 8.2 mph.
I'm seriously considering doing an even higher body lift kit as well as moving the deck forward two inches so I can get a pair of 26" tall rear tires on it. I should then be able to get 10mph out of the ole girl.
How long did it take for each tire?
