Thanks for sharing this deck - and the tutorial on gameplay. Knights are really my style of play, but I was having trouble with consistency (mainly because I'm a fan of Dandelion and Odo and was really trying to get them to work in the Knights scheme). I may eventually take this deck and craft a hybrid with my other Knights deck to see if I can get Dandy and Odo to work.
yeah, i came back to the game after a while away and started out from rank 25 again-got slaughtered by all the Renfri decks until i settled on the idea of playing a similar deck to this one, and it's been gravy ever since. i did include Ihuarraquax, tho, just for the pure joy of occasionally pulling someone's Renfri and watching them forfeit instantly :D
I'm trying to play this but I'm getting absolutely hammered by all the NG Renfri decks even when I go for the 2-0. So many of them are still running Heatwave so I end up down a card in round 3 while they still have their 2nd Renfri
I haven't seen a single Renfri heatwave deck anywhere this season in hundreds of games that is so weird. 😶 NG have been pretty easy fodder honestly, you occasionally lose to Renfri high rolls but that's effectively Gwent right now 😂
I absolutely agree with what you were saying at the beginning of the video. I think when renfri is nerfed everyone's just going to complain about the new scenarios, even at the start if this season people were already saying knights were too strong before renfri was fully figured out
I think the thing with Knights is that they have ALOT of points but if they ever do get played enough to be t1, the SY poison list beats them so hard the playrate drops anyway. We'll soon find out I guess!
@@evilotis01 it will do. Engine decks will always suffer to control lists with tall punish sadly. It's not unwinnable but definitely unfavoured and much tougher!
This has been my favourite deck to play against this season. Haven't lost a single game against this deck. It's almost unfair for this deck to play against Nilfagard, it's too easy for Philippe Van Moorlehem
Watching this vid today, seven months later, and the "there're no heatwaves in the meta" line made me laugh. I feel like my scenarios get heatwaved *twice* per game. At least! Also, I thought I was the only one who tutors for cards already in hand, glad to see that I'm not lol
Gave it a try! First game. MO Thrive Renfri plus Yrden and Igni. Sh….! Second game. NG Opponent First Card Kingslayer high roll into scenario. Game Three. MO Triple Madoc plus Yrden. Wins 0 Losses 3. I guess I shouldn’t play Gwent today.
@@LionHartCards I guess he played against you. Never saw this before. And I was so happy to pull his Yrden in Round One. If there is a hard counter to a deck you can be sure I will find it immediately. 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks for this! NR Knights just wasn't clicking for me for whatever reason but this video helped a lot. Also, I don't have Aerondight so what alternatives would you recommend to fit that 10p slot? I was thinking either Heatwave or Muzzle for control, but given how tall units get this patch Heatwave might be the better option?
This is exactly why I took Aerondight, the 10p slot needs something and Aerondight is very frequently triple the points of Heatwave/Muzzle right now plus it makes it much easier to run Lady of the Lake as it's another echo! Heatwave over Muzzle this meta though I think, just
Looks like Ren will be nerfed in a decent fashion. First time in Gwent history only one card dedicated a fully short play meta. And the problem is, it’s so flexible basically. In terms of committing value this card is nuts in any timing. Hope CDPR is noticing such…
I've been playing against 15 plus renfri decks a day. I cannot do this anymore XD I'm gonna try this and see if I can at least put my siege engines and self wound away
I was really surprised how well this handled the overall meta. Beat Siege & self wound on my run. That horrible midrange ST wincons list is tough and that comes down to draws sometimes but yeah 🧐
@@thelatinpianoprince4723 deck building is really fun when you start diving into it. I always enjoy watching Shinmiri discuss the way decks are built and why when he analyses lists.
U must win round one at any cost to beat this deck. Then just bait the opponent to play the scenerio 2nd round and just pass on their face .trust me without scenerio and longer round this deck falls apart(even if u have 1 card less)
Is there a reason the games you played don't match up with what you included in the list you posted on this video?? Just wondering, not a problem at all
As much as I don't like to admit it, b/c normally I feel Nr is pretty boring, I actually have fun playing knights and I don't even have all the key cards to the more popular decks. Also, Draug is a knight FYI...

@@LionHartCards i totally agree with you everyone is abusing renfri this season especially that goddamn ng deck lol ...i even see renfri in my dreams hahaha
It out greeds almost anything for a 2:0 if you develop your engines correctly but SY is lethal for it as I said in the video yeah. Easy 100+ points in a long round. Winnable if you play well and adapt rather than just mindlessly jamming cards but definitely unfavoured.
Yrden would definitely hurt this deck. Thankfully it doesn't make sense to run it this meta really as it won't find value in most matchups outside of this really. Not been Yrdened once in 50 matches. Igni's everywhere though!
I love that Bronwen is a Scouser.
