Oh Gi my husband has said your raising a monster in me lol. I’m new to all things crafting but for Mother’s Day yesterday I just had to have Resin and things to use with it and I also just had to have a sewing machine to sew around my tags and journals , lace, vintage pictures and stamps well not knowing the first thing about sewing he got me a battery operated hand held thing that will do enough for what I can do. I have been in hospital for 3 weeks and every time he comes to visit he sees me watching tutorials and says “how much is it going to cost me today?” Lol. This crafting is so much fun it’s just a shame I had to be diagnosed with a serious illness to find the joy in this activity. A tip for new resin users - never use fresh plants or flowers. They will rot. But candy and edible glitters seem to be fine. Also, they sell small nail molds with hearts, stars, butterflies, etc that make some awesome embellishments 💞
I've really enjoyed these videos. I came across another the other day after watching your first one and the girl in that video used bottle tops. Our shops here in the UK are quite pathetic and don't sell bags of them like they do in America and other places. (They don't sell much of anything come to think of it 😕) She also had a book full of stickers or pop outs that fitted inside the bottle tops with pictures and words on them. She even made some into paperclips. It seems the possibilities are endless if you have access to a good selection of items to use. Thanks for sharing these Gi, they really are inspirational 😊
Thank you Gi for another fab tutorial. Back in 1969 when I was 9 years old, my parents bought me a 'Plasticraft' set for Christmas. I was always making things from an early age, so this was fantastic. I remember making all sorts of things in our downstairs bathroom!! One of the things I made, was a paper weight. I put a flower in it, and it lasted for years. The flower didn't rot at all. I tried the 2 parts resin last year, but because I live in a tiny flat, I wasn't able to let in fresh air. So I had to sell it all. I bought UV Resin early this year, and have yet to start anything. But after watching your great videos, it's given me the courage, and I'll be starting next weekend. I absolutely love this, and I finally got my resin. Well I decided to order another bottle and wait for the lost one shoes up. I got my new one Friday. I was so excited,but I have not done anything yet. I’m working on my daughters journal. Her birthday is May 27. But anyway I ended up with two bottles of resin. The one that I had ordered about three weeks ago. But anyway you’ve found something I’m going to love ❤️ it … Thanks for all you do ♥️
It works great in small batches, but spices and makeup that contain binders will settle to the bottom when resin cures. So it's fine for embellishments and such but I wouldn't recommend it for anything bigger than earrings or pendants.

If you needed to, as long as the block is clear you can turn it over and put under you light some more. As long as the light can get to the resin.

How are you melting this?
This is something very new to me. Any resin I've used before needed a hardener added. No UV lamp is there any other way to harden the resin?
Do you need the the machine to set the resin ?????
