If you want to hear this live, the DancEar performance they did showcases their stable voices while dancing really well. If you want a live band with live vocals, the one they did on It’s Live! is also really good. Siyeon the main vocalist is absent for most promotions this era because she’s taking a mental health hiatus, but she’s present in the Justice performances I recommended.
Oh, yeah, Dreamcatcher is known as 'The Face of Rock in K-pop'. This is their thing! You're in for a treat. Not only will you get rock music, but you'll also get massive lore and storylines! In fact, "Justice" is the second part of a story arc called 'VersuS'. They're heroes, but in the last mv, they were villains. That mv is called "OOTD".
You are right, this must be heard in live as what is not obvious from the first listen that actually 5 (6) of them !! belt the high note. The "It's live" version is with live vocals and live instruments, while the DanceEar is with spatial audio with NO vocal backing track. Both versions are different so I cannot recommended one over the other, just highly recommend both versions.
Dreamcatcher is on a US tour later this year in November. Please go if you can to support our girls!!!! I have seen them twice, so this will be a third. they are AMAZING live
I 1000% second this suggestion! This will be my 2nd time seeing them live. I don't think I can articulate how amazing they are live. It's not just the amazing vocals. They are a whole bunch of fun, laughter, and silliness that makes the show so interactive.
Just some context around their concept: Justice is the second part of the storyline which started with their song OOTD, which is, itself based on an ARG (alternative reality game) which was told through social media posts. Basically, the crown which gets destroyed with the arrow is a corrupting object which makes people insane with greed and narcissism. In OOTD's lyrics they speak of themselves in rather narcissistic terms, as they're under the influence of the crown, while in Justice they break away from its influence, replacing greed and epicurean satisfaction with justice as their driving force in life. Dreamcatcher has several separate storylines, the first one is told through all of their initial songs up to Piri, it's called the Nightmare era and it tells the story of Dreamcatcher being entrapped in a haunted mansion in which they're tortured by their biggest fears. In Fly High, it's explained that they're trapped by the Queen Spider after one of the members, Yoohyeon, kills a spider. The second storyline is told through songs Scream, Boca and Odd Eye and it's about this "Tree of Language", literally a tree on which words grow (a concept, I believe, borrowed from Hinduism), becoming corrupted and growing only malicious words, prompting society to become hateful and antagonistic, so, the Dreamcatcher members attempt to fight its influence. And then there was the third "climate change" era, consisting of Maison and Vision in which they tackle corrupt entities of power destroying the environment. Now, song-wise, I think Scream is a fan favorite, but, if you'd like to follow the storyline in order, OOTD and Justice go together. Or, there are two songs: Deja Vu and Reason, which are standalone concepts and also very much so popular. But, regardless, thanks so much for checking out Dreamcatcher, they're a very unique and talented group, I don't think there's a single song in their discography would be a disappointment.
Awww I love re-experiencing that "whoa" moment from hearing dreamcatcher for the first time. I also wanna put forward their self-made music video for their song "Sahara". Dreamcatcher are badasses on stage but what really endeared me to them was just how silly they can be off stage
Welcome to the Dreamworld and thanks for checking out Dreamcatcher's Justice! Dreamcatcher are an extremely unique group in k-pop because their title tracks always incorporate rock and metal instrumentals in their title tracks. The b-sides though span dozens of other genres and sub-genres including Jazz, EDM, Reggae, Funk, Pop, Electronic, and so much more. Most guides are going to have a few spoilers as many of the big guides have sections dedicated to going over their title tracks, however, this section is usually towards the beginning of the video and is labeled, so it's easy to skip. My favorite guide is The Ultimate 2021/2022 Dreamcatcher Guide by Dreamworld. It's longer and has some small spoilers for b-sides and covers throughout the guide but it's an excellent guide. If you want something that only focuses on the members personalities, then the This Is ______ Series by Insomnicsy is the best place to go. Her This Is ________ Series has 4 seasons, and each season is comprised of one 7-minute video for each member. The Seasons are 2020, 2021, 2022, & 2023. In my opinion, this is better as a follow up to a bigger guide but its still definitely worth watching. They're a fantastic group who make amazing music and they're all a bunch of loveable goofballs, which you'll see with the guides.
If you care about lore, you should watch by trilogies. But if you just want to enjoy the music, you can honestly just start wherever you feel like. All their songs are good on their own. In order it would go like this: NIGHTMARE SERIES 1) Chase Me 2) Goodnight 3) Fly High (prequel) ESCAPE THE ERA (continuation/conclusion of the Nightmare series) 1) You & I 2) What 3) PIRI Bonus: BREAKING OUT (Japanese release, which is an alternative ending to the Nightmares series.) DEJA VU (single) (It's a special single, a collab with the mobile app King's Raid) DYSTOPIA TRILOGIES 1) Scream 2) BOCA 3) ODD EYE (It's a trilogy about cyberbullying) BECAUSE (single) (Song about unhealthy/obsessive/toxic love) APOCALYPSE TRILOGY 1) Maison 2) Vision 3) Bonvoyage (It's a trilogy about environment awareness. ''Maison'' earned them their first & second ever wins in a show. And ''Bonvoyage'' earned them their third & fourth wins in a show ) REASON (Single) (it's a song for the fandom InSomnia. The MV shows Dreamcatcher's journey, their first ever win after so many years of hardwork. It was released between Vision and Bonvoyage) VERSUS duology 1) OOTD 2) JUSTICE (There is a lot of lore behind this duology which might be confusing but essentially, in one MV they play the villains, and in other they play the heroes.)
Adding “RoSE Blue” as a single here (came out during the time of the Dystopia trilogy!). It was a game collab with Girl Cafe Gun. It’s a beautiful song! Also their Japanese releases are a harder rock sound, and so worth a listen. I recommend Endless Night, Eclipse, and No More.
Thank you for checking out Dreamcatcher and also congrats on the 1K subs. If you are even remotely into rock music then you have yourself a rabbit whole to dive into. Rock itself is a huge genre and Dreamcatcher jumps between difference sub-genres of rock in each comeback and usually fuses it with some kpop elements. They also have songs in other genres in their b-side and many of those have special clips as well.
About the guides: The series of "This is..." videos by Insomnicsy can't be beaten. It has four seasons by now, with 7 minutes per each of 7 videos, totalling a whopping 196 minutes of wonderful and masterfully edited content. But you can start with the 2020 edition and work your way forward if you find you like it. Bonus: the series focuses on the personalities, so very little of the songs will be spoiled for you. If you would prefer a traditional guide, "The Ultimate 2021/2022 Dreamcatcher Guide 🎠 Welcome to the Dreamworld!" by Dreamworld or "An Extensive Guide to Dreamcatcher 2023" by Dreamer are both quite good. There are newer ones, but I like them less.

Dreamcatcher never fails to impress. Once again, this comeback is absolutely stunning. Their unique concept and musical style continue to stand out in the K-pop industry. This 10th mini-album, "VirtuouS," is a true gem. Five amazing tracks, including an introduction that’s 234 seconds long...!!! How to describe perfection? I just love it.
Welcome to the Dream World 🖤 They are an older group going all the way back to 2014 as Minx, completely different genre, not a good time for the girls. Minx was only 5 out of 7 of them. Start anywhere you like, Dreamcatcher always gonna Dreamcatcher. The songs that best demonstrate what you're getting yourself into are Boca and Deja Vu. Cheers!
Hi Brandi, this is my first time seeing you and I immediately subscribed! Watching newbies become InSomnia is the best! (There's no escaping the beautiful black-hole that is Dreamcatcher.) Definitely see them on tour this November, if you can. They're finally coming to the Pacific Northwest for the first time -- so I got my Seattle ticket five-minutes after they went on sale! They've had some spectacular online concerts (especially during COVID) with iconic performances and lots of tour fan cams. (SuA's shenanigans stand out every time! All the "No Dot" wilding on stage. Her Halloween "Maria" cover.) Their self-made MVs, special clips, covers, solos, behind the scenes... everything is amazing. They (starting with SuA, IIRC) even got so bored during COVID that they filmed their own shot-for-shot parody/remake of a K-drama. Too funny! Speaking of COVID, Handong got trapped in China, so you'll notice she's missing from several MVs. However they did a great job of welcoming her back (and frankly, she returned with a lot more confidence.) Of note: the "Crossroads" online concert on her birthday (I pretty much cried); "Poison Love" self-made MV; "Odd Eye" Dystopia dance version. Lastly, if you like the rock sounds of Dreamcatcher, check out the five-woman K-rock band Rolling Quartz! The crossover between InSomnia (DC fans) & Diadem (RQ fans) is huge. THANKS!
Nice reaction! Dreamcatcher has so many great songs. All of their title tracks have rock elements, and their b-sides have a bit of everything. They are the only musical artist that I like every song from. They perform really well live and are amazing dancers as well. They have a lot of content, so I hope you enjoy 😊
As a multi-stanner, my number 1 group is Dreamcatcher. They've surpassed my past nr 1s as well(They're top 3 now). Came for the music and stayed for their music tbh, but also their personality lol
Welcome to the dreamworld ! Dreamcatcher, it's the only group of kpop that incorporates rock and metal into their music and they are very talented. I suggest you their dystopia trilogy, which is about cyber-bullying, hateful comments.... 1. Scream 2. Boca 3. Odd Eye And i suggest " deja vu " ( it's a masterpiece)😊

Yay! Thank you for checking out Dreamcatcher! There are two Justice performances that I highly suggest you check out: dancEAR performance - In this they mix the audio in such a way that you can hear their raw vocals while they're dancing! th-cam.com/video/mmDSxJxyxTw/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared It's Live performance - In this they do a standing live vocal performance with a live band! th-cam.com/video/ZeXZ_ixi58I/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
For your guide video, it really depend on what you want to find out. If it is really more about the group history and background, I do recommend "Dodging Disbandment and Other Extreme Sports: A History of Dreamcatcher" by Mera (link:th-cam.com/video/YIgCAp3i1os/w-d-xo.html) which present their trial and tribulations up to 2020 (afterwhich they gain a slightly more mainstream stable footing in the industry) in a fun interesting, albeit slightly long video. But if you want to know more about the members, there are many other guides out there that serve its purpose.
Welcome to the Dreamworld! Dreamcatcher are very unique. They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip out your spine when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉 Justice is part two of a two-part series, the first one is OOTD, which intentionally sounds very differently. There is a lot of imagery about death and legendary figures like Valkyries or greek goddesses and legends. Reddit user PaintMeYaBasic has managed to identify these paintings in the MV: Hero by Edward Burne-Jones (from the tale of Hero and Leander), Valkyrie and a Dying Hero by Hans Makart, Hero and Leander by Salvator Rosa and finally "Justice" by Kenyon Cox in the center back. In the tale of Hero and Leander from Greek mythology, Hero is actually a priestess of Aphrodite (Venus in the Roman myths), so that is not the same as the hero who is taken from the battlefield by a Valkyrie in the other painting. But OOTD has the line "I'm Venus, Nephthys, call me a Goddess". It is likely there is a connection. While OOTD was about falling for the temptations of modern life and a satire on narcissism (especially influencers and fast fashion), I believe Justice is telling us to fight those temptations for a better world. It is a call to become a warrior for good in the world and fight the materialism that seems to be the most important thing for so many people in the developed countries. You can see JiU break the bonds that hold her down, and we should do the same. Please note that this is just my interpretation. Art can be interpreted in different ways, and other opinions are just as valid as mine. There are also many references to their older MVs in this. The paintings also have a deeper meaning in Chase me, there is a sword in Deja Vu and Scream, the bite into the apple is a callback to BEcause and the tree to the Dystopia trilogy - and so on. There are many more. The 8th figure in the end could also be JiU from Deja Vu, finally breaking the cycle of violence and leading to justice. Musically, I love the song. The guitars in the pre-chorus and chorus are pure heaven (just like Dongie with her wings). It has the right amount of heaviness for me, and it is an anthem and a call to action. I also love that they shortened the pre-chorus by two bars in the second half, throwing us into the chorus early. Justice is a brilliant, epic release, showing everyone that a group can still produce fantastic music and MVs after seven and a half years. I can't help it, I deeply respect these ladies and their whole team. If you want to see this live, there is a very good "It's live" version.
This is an amazing live band version of Justice: th-cam.com/video/ZeXZ_ixi58I/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-9CMMvHIDJ8MxVvw Dreamcatcher have 13 albums already and each is a gem.
@@UrgirlbrandiDreamcatcher have released 10 Mini albums, 2 Full Albums in Korean, 1 Japanese Full Album. Plus countless Special Clips and covers. Not counting the Dance MVs or dance practices. They're really very productive.

Dreamcatcher and XG are the girl group that knows what they are doing, that knows their skills and talent and they do music with love, passion and hardwork and it comes through their sound they are the example of what finesse is they gave the most but are the most under-appriciated groups in the industry
Thank you to everyone who comment giving information about the group. I truly appreciate it and it helps me so much to know about them quicker. 💗🫶🏾

This 10th mini-album, "VirtuouS," is a true gem. Five amazing tracks, including an introduction that’s 234 seconds long...!!! How to describe perfection? I just love it.

Thanks for checking them out! :)
(There's no escaping the beautiful black-hole that is Dreamcatcher.)
Definitely see them on tour this November, if you can.
Her Halloween "Maria" cover.)
Their self-made MVs, special clips, covers, solos, behind the scenes... everything is amazing.
THANKS!
Thanks for your reaction to Dreamcatcher. They're known as The Dark Angels of K-Pop & The Face of Rock in K-Pop.
Nice reaction! Dreamcatcher has so many great songs. All of their title tracks have rock elements, and their b-sides have a bit of everything. They are the only musical artist that I like every song from. They perform really well live and are amazing dancers as well. They have a lot of content, so I hope you enjoy 😊
thank you so much for reacting to dreamcatcher🔥🔥
Thanks for reaching to Dreamcatcher! Just subbed!

And i suggest " deja vu " ( it's a masterpiece)😊

Thank you 🫶🏾
ohh i hope you react to more of them! this is very much how my first reaction to them was like five years ago :D
Justice is part two of a two-part series, the first one is OOTD, which intentionally sounds very differently.
PLEASEEE CHECK OUT RISING BY THEM! it’s incredible, it is a bside so theres no mv but its so good
This is an amazing live band version of Justice: th-cam.com/video/ZeXZ_ixi58I/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-9CMMvHIDJ8MxVvw

@@UrgirlbrandiDreamcatcher have released 10 Mini albums, 2 Full Albums in Korean, 1 Japanese Full Album. Plus countless Special Clips and covers. Not counting the Dance MVs or dance practices. They're really very productive.
Portt Tomme !
whos your bias?
Ooo this is hard 😭 idk yet since it’s my first time reacting to Dreamcatcher. I have to come to you.
@@Urgirlbrandi I’ll tell u the names ^^ from oldest to youngest so it’s Jiu,Sua,Siyeon,Handong,Yoohyeon,Dami, and gahyun aka my waifu and ultimate bias💜💜
Dreamcatcher and XG are the girl group that knows what they are doing, that knows their skills and talent and they do music with love, passion and hardwork and it comes through their sound they are the example of what finesse is they gave the most but are the most under-appriciated groups in the industry
DancEar is not that great the live band is better.
