I also play Jazz on my Gibson SG and my Fender Telecaster and Stratocasters as well as many semi-hollow and hollow-body guitars. I kind of like my Telecaster best for Jazz and it's also very good for everything I play.

I am glad that I found this nice video. Very good playing as well as sound! I started out on an SG100 when I was learning electric guitar, early 70's. That includes when I started learning about jazz. That guitar eventually was traded away and I never had an SG again until recently. Now I have an SG Special from the 90's. It is a great instrument, and equally as viable IMO for jazz playing as any other solidbody. Very comfortable instrument to play. I don't really know why more jazz players don't use SGs.
