The church calls so many situations “moral failures” when in any other secular setup it would be called what it is (eg. sexual abuse or r*pe). Pastors get away with terrible crimes, but the victims are expected to “repent” and continually shamed.
Absolutely! Until this abuse comes into the light, it will continue in the darkness!!
My dad was a man of quiet prayer. Every single day and night, we saw him communing with the Lord, sometimes tears running down his face. He died when I was 15. I'm now 65 now. All of my siblings are serving the Lord. It makes a huge difference dads!
Such a sweet testimony of your Dad‼️ Thank you for sharing. God bless you and your family 🙌 🙌!!
I agree on the great God loving/serving testimony.
Non believers already know what's up and because they see the abuse and no accountability, it's a turn off
The word used in the new testament for gossip is psithurismos: a whispering to "quietly" spread malicious gossip; "whispering" that launches "secret attacks on a person's character".
That's not what we're doing. We're exposing corruption, which is commanded in Ephesians 5.
thank you
Great explanation, 💯%
Solid take right here.
@@WakeUpandWinPodcast Dear Blaise & Christina: I so appreciate what you're doing. Please don't stop, even if others call you "gossips".
Fyi... on the night I first heard about Bickle's allegations (Oct 31, 23) I had a very powerful dream about the prayer movement. One aspect of that dream had me in a classroom where I was told to learn Psalm 45. At the time it didn't make much sense. Now it does.
"You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy." (v.7)
In other words, we as a church better understand that Jesus is anointed as Messiah because he BOTH loves righteousness and hates wickedness. And because we are being made into His likeness by the Holy Spirit we'd better act likewise. No more hyper-grace nonsense as a cover-up for wickedness.
Such a great explanation.
Thank you! So true! There are standards for ministry and Chris Reed has proven he’s unqualified! He should never be allowed back in public ministry. It’s damaging to himself and others. He is a hypocrite who preached and wrote books on the fear of the Lord yet had none. If he lied to his wife, his kids, the church and its leaders…what would stop him from making up false prophetic words to feed his platform? Chris Reed GET a day job!
Agree
When leaders do not do their job at protecting their sheep and confronting sexual sin - the Body of Christ will confront those Pastors and remove both them and those who engage in sexual immorality. We will not be quiet. Sexual sin must never become normalised in the Kingdom of God.
Good for you for allowing victims the ability to tell exactly what happened, cause they’re often blamed of add shame on top of what they feel already. Shame on those adding to their pain.
Very good Blaise. This needs to be said. I was part of it all, but stepped away several years ago and agree with you, just study. I have been in a small group, yet when this happened, my friend was so quick to blame the girl because she thought she knew Mike B. because she met him once. I told her "time will tell." Thanks for standing up for victims.❤️
There has always been this double standard...
When you call them out its gossip when they do it then it's a God-given right
Time for change
Accountability for all.
Humility and transparency is all we have left
Thank you for taking on this issue. You are on the front lines and taking hits for the Body of Christ. Appreciate your stand for purity❤
It's the most infuriating to see the knee jerk reaction from the congregations is to protect the abusers which makes me wild. Is it b/c they can't admit they have been so wrong in their judgement. Ooff!!! 😮💨🥴😠Besides Bickle was Eddie Long and his crimes and many in the congregation came to his side and not these poor damaged boys.
Hagee covered up James Robison’s CS abuse of a young woman when he was 35 and she was in her late teens or early 20’s. James helped cover up Robert Morris abuse of a teenage girl. Morningstar covered up Chris Reed’s abuse of a student in their ministry. So, it’s time to clean house. I think God expects us to do this. I think you and Christina are about the Lord’s business. Thank you for your obedience.
I think God's already begun to clean house! Look at all the Mega Pastors being exposed‼️ God's Flipping Tables!! Hallelujah 🙌🙌
“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them” (Ephesians 5:11).
Thank you so very much for speaking from our Father’s heart!! Thank you for speaking TRUTH into a lost generation!!❤
Amen ‼️
CRIMES should be run through the law! I've seen 2 situations in our own churches that were not charged or prosecuted that definitely should have been. It's not unbiblical to hold church leaders or lay people to the just standards of the law. Keeping it "in the family" reeks of cover-up and MAJOR dysfunction.
It’s NOT gossip … God has been speaking it for years through His true prophets … God calls it “EXPOSURE.”
1 Peter 4: 17
Nailed it!!
Simplicity.
A man is to guard guide nuture heal responding to the needs of the family. Like a shepherd over the flock or a farmer over the field he lovingly cares for and stewards what is in his care.
A female is made to respond to that care in fruitfulness. She produces life the man cares for it.
He doesn't call attention to himself.
It is pure idolatry. We are supposed to be putting the Word of God first in building our foundation. We are to put Jesus over any pastor since He is the one that made the ultimate sacrifice to cover our sins. To place a pastor and his word over either one of these can be described as nothing but idolatry. It is important to read our Bibles so we can really sort through what we believe and understand why.
Good words Jill
Exposure is really a loving blessing from the Lord. Sadly, many choose not to repent.
Rick and Chris are in an all-out cat fight, it’s terrible
People can’t live without the power and membership of their celebrity/church
You’re so right! If people quit paying them, only the sincere would be left.
Some who have come out of a cult have said something like, "It's not so much their beliefs that make them a cult. It's really about the...behavior, or the control, or whatever. It's more about the practical part that makes them a cult."
Having spent 13 years of my life divided between two (2) cults, I can attest that you are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT.
I’m so glad that you have the clarity of mind to see what’s happening and the courage to speak out about it.
It’s tragic what the spirit of intimidation is doing around the world and sadly, within the church!
The revealing of these ministers is a great thing for unbelievers to see. If God will cause those in the body of Christ to be held to account for unrepentant sin, how much more the unbeliever in the day of judgement, unless they call on the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved. It shows the unbelievers nothing is hidden from God, nor can a man’s good deeds earn him a pass. These cases are NOT a black eye on a church or ministry. They are witnesses to how much we all need Jesus & how God is truly just.
I was married to a preacher's daughter for 30 years. She was talented, beautiful and spiritually gifted. She was celebrated in our local area and popular with many pastors and churches. She led a double life. Secretly she had numerous adulterous relationships during our marriage and was very promiscuous as a teenager. She was lazy and slovenly as a wife and mother. She created a web of lies and gossip to destroy anyone who caught on to the person she really was. Our 3 children saw through all of it. Unfortunately none of them are serving the Lord.
Thank you so much Blaise for (and Christina!) speaking out and standing for truth!! I appreciate your videos immensely. For ‘Christian’ husbands and fathers to ‘re-calibrate their roles’ often would be to give up their privileged and entitled status. This is really challenging the status quo, but I think God is requiring these changes to be made. He is exposing the rot!! Abuse of ALL KINDS have been tolerated, covered up and even endorsed and taught at church for way too long. The problems are systemic and not simply leaders behaving badly. Every single one of us need to think about how we have participated in the mess and REPENT.
“Addicted to the ministry machine.” ..it’s time to go to your wife..your family and be honest. Time to confess your unfaithfulness. “ it’s time to actually practice what you’ve been preaching, sir!” Yes…this describes this passing generation…perfectly!
This is all music to my ears.
Simple devotion - real life., everything you said
Listening to this, it came to kind that the Bible never condemns Bathsheba. From cover to cover, you won't find the Bible condemning her, calling her an adultress, or placing the blame on her. However, if you grew up in the church like me then you totally know how many pastors will refer to her in derogatory ways.
Loved your interview with Bob Scott. My husband and I were directly affected by KCF because they had oversight of our small fellowship. Thank you for diving into this touchy subject, it has helped me heal.
1 Corinthians 14; 26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
This scripture is hardly used in any church buildings these days and this allows the pastor virtually total control over doctrine and teaching and the people.
We’ve been trained by them and their false doctrines. Ezekiel was called
To prophecy against the shepherds.
What is amazing to me that the highly prophetic ministers are never told the sins of the leaders and called to bring them to repentance.
Hi Bro Blaise, thanks for this podcast . Missed your wife Christina.
Galatians 6:1 says any one who is fallen , they be gently restored.
But if it is a pastor, preacher they also be restored but they can not be reinstated to ministry. They have to find out some other jobs and humble themselves before Jesus to overcome their sins.
Amen! Stop coddling these pastors.Good word Blaise.
We need true revival so badly
@@annaferrone3417 we need reformation of the "Church Structure" before revival. Maranatha!
Hello Blaise, Wow, it amazes me the depth of wisdom and understanding that you speak in dealing with such complex situations. I will be praying for you and Christina that God will give you all larger platforms to speak and shine the light on these dark places in the church. God bless you🙏
Thank you for shining a bright spotlight on this black, spidery hole in the church!!
Thank you for sharing this! I was in a church where “gossip” equaled any kind of talk about anyone especially the staff/head pastor that wasn’t directed to them. If things were off or not right, the truth was always considered gossip if not told to the head pastor. Sadly going to the head pastor was never a good idea… he had way too much power and people treaded lightly because he was so anointed and no one wanted to touch the Lord’s anointed. So as issues arose, most stayed silent, many left the church, and many left the faith altogether. This needs to stop! Pastors are people, not to be worshipped or put on a pedestal. And if they fall, go get a job like everyone else.
Thank you Blaise! Spot on!
It’s absolutely ridiculous 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Thanks for giving a voice to the voiceless. God bless!
If God established the law for the lawless… then why aren’t we handing over these men to be prosecuted and put into jail? That is just. That is consequence. That is a deterrent. And they deserve to be put behind bars for what they’ve done. Why do church leaders not immediately hand these men over for public discipline? I don’t understand this slap on the wrist “restoration process”. They should be immediately disqualified from ministry. And face the just consequences of their sin in the court of law. Then the fear of the Lord might return to our churches.
Amen, brother. Thank you so much for these much needed words.
The Lord BLESS YOU AND I THANK YOU for this important and timely mess message that's currently in the Body of Christ which is causing and has been for many decades. I pray many so called leaders hear your very anointed video here now!!
Very well said. Couldn’t agree with you more. Thank you!
Those protecting those wolf ministers will also have to give account of their doings. Repentance should NOT mean restoration to their previous place, they’ll do it again!! No such thing as gossip if it’s true!!
Awesome! God bless them in a powerful way!
agree, agree, agree! thank you for standing with the "nobody's," the "losers," the ordinary people yet are the "milking cows" of the fallen, "deceiving," quite "arrogant," well established leaders...they must have forgotten the verse; James 3:1-4 New International Version (NIV)
Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.
What about giving God the ability to protect, wow what an idea!! Transparency is true repentance.
Absolutely right. I appreciate what you’re doing Blaise 🔥👍
You’re speaking good truth here. Great perspective. Subbing!
Thank you! I wish I had someone like you to help me years ago when my husband decided to join a ministry traveling months at time leaving me behind. We ended up divorcing and it has been difficult for me to trust ministers. It has been a long, hard process.
Oh my gosh.
Thats so true.
Controlling the narrative to protect the one who’s done wrong.
As someone who has been through all kinds of this stuff it starts with the parents., now just don’t say anything. You know nothing really happened. 😢
it's kind of funny, scripture clearly exposes messes from the start
ezbless; But the followers never open their Bibles and read them and ask the Holy
Spirit for wisdom. They accept anything and everything that comes from the pulpit without question and that goes for the elders and the members. They say that the guy in the pulpit is surely from God and fear him, but they do not fear God.
@@paulryan5984 that's pretty pathetic
In surgery- they make you go naked and turn on all the lights and everyone focuses on it so they can see how to make it better.
I'm glad your giving a platform to those victimized..because the church isn't doing it ....better to be exposed now than at the judgment seat of Christ...God is jealous for us❤❤❤..repent now❤❤❤
ty for your ministry. I finally feel like i'm ok.
That was really good…you have a teaching gift ❤
This was well spoken, men need to take hold of the spiritual in there family. I believe this was the start of our fall in the water down church. Then wives would submit willingly if husband took their stand in the family.
Thank you 👍 🙏❤️
Well said, esp about the celebrity pastor syndrome
I really hope for the day when churches everywhere have people who will hear the cause of anyone oppressed, walk through things, find out what is right, go with them to their "oppressor" and make the plea, "Please have mercy." doing for one the same as for another, without partiality and without hypocrisy, not heaping heavy burdens on another, but rather relieving the heavy burdens and letting the oppressed go free, by walking in the fruit of the Spirit, with a knowledge of the gospel, and then I'd like to hear the testimony of reconciliation, something like how the person had people that helped them through this process and how they saw the Lord work wonders. That much detail might be about all I need to know, unless both parties would like to convey some lessons learned, but only if they want to. They might rather just keep silent on those things, but rest assured, those life lessons will most likely come out in some gracious way later on in a teaching series or something, and we won't even know all the details of what they are talking about, but we can still get the wisdom from the experience and try to keep that with us as we go through life.
I’m sooooo thankful for this podcast!
Did Morningstar really take Chris Reed's books out of the bookstore? Man, if I don't see the heart of the Prodigal's father, I could get a bit suspicious, couldn't I? If the Prodigal's father did that, took all of his books out of the house, well fine, if he wants to do that. After all it is his house, but what about if the son returns? What then?
Well said, brother in Christ.
Watched interview with Bob Scott. Born into Pastor's home while parents still in Bible School. Just to say have background from birth in ministry related issues. We need correction, no question. Careful not to become cynical. Really will be end time revival if you accept the prophet Joel. The problem comes when we take on the role of self important specially called leaders to carry it. The problem with prophecy is not to blame it, we are not to despise it, but we are called to judge it and hold fast to what is good. The body needs to be taught scriptural basis for this process. Pointing out wrong doing, lying, and failure is neccessary. Truth in love is key. A deep dive into what true
restoration looks like seems neccessary. Apostle Paul does say to do this, but how is it accomplished is the question.
Thank you Blaise!!!
Totally agree with you, just concerned about ministry and money. I saw Chris Reed's video today and that seems to be what he is only concerned about, ministry, money and getting his books sold. It is seems to be his main focus in coming on TH-cam to tell people his website etc It is awful to see no shame or repentance. He has disabled comments on his channel.
Absolutely!!!
lately Reed is posting some creepy videos, and the ability to comment is turned off
yesss... gosh, him asking for donations in his latest videos is so cringe. 🤢
Would you let an unbeliever see this podcast? Wow. "By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35). Is that person saying that it is more important to hide the truth from unbelievers than it is for the church to protect the church? Jesus said they will know we are disciples by how disciples treat disciples. The church is for its members. Look at Acts. The church ministered to its members. The church has outreach to unbelievers. But we are to minister to members of the body of Christ first and foremost. If we can't do that well, then how can we truly and effectively share the whole gospel? All people have sinned. All people need a Savior. And those who have been saved still need that same Savior everyday of their lives. And we need to love our fellow members of the body first. I thank you guys for everything you are doing. Keep up the good work!
Well said. Agree 💯%‼️
Your best one yet! Thanks.
About a pastor being put back into position after falling into SA, I could see it, but only in the right church system. I could see it if the pastor tells the congregation he fell into SA, with the elders standing behind him, as he tells the congregation he will not be SAing them, that he did that, got the stained Tee shirt, and that whole thing didn't work out so good, and then he tells the whole congregation about how they have a new system on place of so many delivering judges of the Old Testament, who are trained to plead the cause of the oppressed, but now, we being under this grace wherein we stand because of Christ, this is more like reconciling ministers who know the gospel of Christ, and what if this pastor asks the congregation to stand and say they will not hide SA, and if anyone isn't standing or willing to confess that, he would like to know why, because we are not under law, but under grace, and he tells them they don't need 2 or 3 witnesses who actually saw an unlawful act, to bring something up about him, but he asks to come to him first, but if they don't believe the matter is resolved then they can bring 1 or 2 others with them to act as reconciling ministers who will plead the cause of the oppressed and ask for mercy when mercy is due.
Now why would I feel comfortable in a church like that? I would. I believe I really would, more so than in a church that has never had a fallen pastor but doesn't have the proper system in place.
You and your wife are doing an awesome job.
When somebody falls, we all know what to do don't we? We circle him and start kicking. Wolves are something like that. They hunt in a pack, and one of them hamstrings the prey and wounds them, so the rest of the pack can catch up, and then they all take a bite, right? Or, we could say "Please Have Mercy." I want to remember that, and also think about who really offended first, or what is the matter of some kind of distress. If I could, I would like to talk to anyone oppressed to find out what is the cause of it, if it really exists, and start doing some real reconciliation ministry, something we all should learn more about, I think.
Great chat, thanks.
AMEN brother
Agreed. Though I caution you, as a slightly older saint who’s been disillusioned and has major church hurt. Listen to good preaching still. You can keep that preacher in proper space, not an idol. Preaching and teaching is a gift and fruit of the spirit which IS the Holy Spirit himself showing up and making himself present. The person is just the vessel. We forget the gift is the Holy Spirit. The “gifts” are not gifts it’s the gift making himself known. Proof of us working out our salvation. If you want proof text, 1 Corinthians 12:1 BUT in the HCSB! It’s a literal translation. If it’s good preaching, you aren’t listening to the person you should be listening to hear what’s God saying. Glean from that. Broken vessels. I’ve had many conversations with my husband now. As he is a pastor and how do we do this. Honestly, part of the issue too, is when there isn’t a denomination involved. Yes there can be corruption too. But, it less likely. We are apart of the Christian and missionary alliance of Canada. There is a USA version. So far in our district, whenever there is an issue everyone who is licenced in that district and the top people in the other districts as well as the boards and the president of the denomination are informed that this person has been removed, their licences have been suspended and has been placed under a process of reconciliation and restoration. Apparently, since we started in this district, also 15 years, not one worker or pastor has been restored because they failed to do the work they needed to. But there is always discipline.
Now, Ravi was licensed in Canada and there was an issue of misconduct. He went to the states. In Canada we striped him of his license, which was never talked about. And the board of elders and district wanted to do more that he was linked to but could not because the victim signed a DNA. However it is my understanding, his license was still removed. We just couldn’t legally say anything because we had no proof and looked as far as we could and had Ravi’s side only right away. But he was never trusted again in the denomination by most.
(And this is all things I have been told as hearsay for the most part as I wasn’t around for some of it and just have heard the stories post scandal)
I think if you go to the podcast Voices in the desert and look for the episode on falling clergy, and then the episodes after would be helpful. Because we have stopped working on our salvation, because we have a false theology of grace and not what actually Luther taught. Is part of our issues as a “collective church”. If we work on ourselves, then we don’t have to worry about celebrity pastors as much. Because we are focused on working on santification, ours and working out our salvation process until it is complete when we die. (Radical idea but historical and orthodox)
Brilliant explanation. Unfortunately, sometimes even in less spectacular cases the church leadership leans on the : Do not attack the anointed and gossip not - principle, while they themselves publicly report with hidden anger about church members who, in their opinion, should behave differently... and this regularly, which in many cases has nothing to do with sin but at best with immaturity. Things for which they would have a role model function and where sound teaching would be appropriate. Here God could definitely say: Do not attack my church in such a way!
So good brother
Excellent!!
Adults have a choice..children are the only true victims ..you know when perversion of any kind comes at you ..God is exposing idolatry at the very level it needs to be exposed ..leave a church if you don’t feel safe.
So very sad😢
I think the other thing in a church these men stand up and say there anointed by god so listen and abey me. People do and they don’t think for themselves. Sometimes there convinced to believe one side of a story. Good podcast man!!
Totally agree
Follow Jesus
It’s sick
Youth and children’s programs are important for kids who end up at church who come from non-Christian backgrounds. I would have been so lost without that. I would have never been introduced to Christ as a kid without these programs.
You are blessing to me I do watch your podcast and I’m learning from you ! I got really confused even though I have been believer for 40 years. Do you have anything about Bethel church - Bill Johnson’s teaching ? I feel it’s off some stuff it’s new age
Wisdom!
Interesting take from a podcast where the entire platform has been built on talking about other's downfalls. 🤔
But the only one that responded well was Chris ☝️
