After 8 years of not working out and 65 pounds of added weight, I just completed my first mile run. Watching this video yesterday and seeing what could have been if I had kept my focus really put things into perspective. Wow, huge congrats on your first 100, Nick, that is fantastic! And thank you so much for including the parts that showed all of your struggles and difficulties. So many 100 mile race vids skip past all of that terrible part and so you can't get a good feel for what an incredible battle it was for the runner. I still have yet to do my first 100 miler, and hope to do one some day in the future.

Amazing Run....my friends, Betty and Jochen are going to fly tomorrow to do the race this year...they (from austria) have to do it in european trailrunning style...no crew...no team...I wish them all the best...they´ll have to dig deep

These races should all be self-sustained. No help. Not everybody has the luxury of a team of 5-6 people helping. Sorry these all need to be self sustaining. There are aid stations and volunteers to help a little along the way.
