Although I keep hearing vikings fans talk about Chicago, when we have almost 30 million in cap space, and Justin Fields.
If Kevin is anywhere near as good with his coaching as he is with his public speaking we're going to absolutely kill it! I'm hoping for the best.. I'm definitely excited..

I came back after he has been coaching horribly this season 😂. I've never seen a coach actually get worse at coaching. You're supposed to learn from your mistakes, not keep making them.
@@allfacts19 he wasnt even close to being a horrible coach this year. We were lucky to even get 7 wins after everything that happened this year
@strizzyallen959 The Vikings couldn't even get a play call in at the end of the Chargers game. Or look how much better Dobbs looked by not going off of KOC'S script. Or how about the horrible play call where the ball was snapped to TJ and handed off to Dobbs to get blasted. That was the worst play call I've ever seen.
Every new coach’s press conference always says a lot of things to impress fans, but Kevin seems genuine about his feelings and his approach to building a winning culture here, in Minnesota. I’m very excited for the new era to begin with Kevin and Kwesi.

Not at all, the NFL is promoting minorities by rewarding in the Draft, nothing better than incorporating Kaepernick into the Vikings, which says the Vikings helmet on its back
One press conference in and he's already smiled more times than Zimmer did in 8 years. Now, I really loved Zimmer and was somewhat sad to see him go. But this guy is the polar opposite. PA always said Zimmer "has the crotchety gene." Well KOC seems to have the "Cheerful gene." I love it.
Literally my thoughts in the first 2 minutes of him talking.
Zimmer sucked ass. He was a trash coach hidden by talented rosters that he held back for 8 years. He couldn’t run an offense and his defensive schemes got figured out after the Minneapolis Miracle game. He’s never taken a team to a super bowl in his career which is why he didn’t know wtf to do in big games that mattered. He hurt the Vikings so bad and people still don’t see it. So many super bowl caliber rosters wasted by that clown.

Why is it that it seems like so many Vikings fans are in San Diego? I've wondered that over the years seeing the Vikings play on the road vs the Chargers and there usually being a lot of purple there.

Sheesh Coach Sean McVay is getting all of his staff head coaching gigs which is a testament to his expertise and knowledge of the game. Congrats Coach O'Connell, your promotion is well deserved.

Not if he can't understand a playbook or learn NFL pocket passing. Have you ever considered it may not be Mond's physical ability which has kept him back in the mix? Just saying.
Zimmer didn't give two shits about Mond, the dude's been in qb witness protection for a year. We have no inclination of how ready he is or not, but I think we can all agree this coaching staff will at least acknowledge him and has a better potential for development.

@@Mofuk I agree, impossible to know with Zimmer. I thought Mond looked decent in pre-season to be honest. We'll probably get some idea in the coming weeks if they draft a QB or not, which I don't expect they would. Mond looked good enough to develop.

All most Kirk fans have ever hoped for when he left DC, was to land on a team with a coach like this and owners who weren't demigods. Maybe four years was worth the wait for both to happen. This guy reminds me of what Vince Lombardi might say if he could talk that eloquently.
Never been so excited for Kirk and the team, all three were destine to be together, and I don't believe it was coincidence O'Connell was Cousins' QB coach.

Pretty impressive interview. I see why they passed on Harbaugh despite his NFL and collegiate coaching success. Seems very positive, smart, and respectful of others. Love his emphasis on communication, common sense, teamwork, winning, and being a player's coach.
And idc if this annoys or offends anyone, but as a white guy, I think it's cool we have a black GM. #17 (I think) of the Washington Fatcats fractured stereotypes on black QBs by leading his team to a Super Bowl win in the 80s. It was an honor watching Warren Moon overcome and further fracture these same stereotypes in the 90s. He was "1" of my first jerseys as a kid and my Dad even took me to watch him play at least once while he was a Vike. Anyway, black QBs nowadays are treated with so much more respect, trust, and equality. I can already tell Kwesi will break stereotypes of black upper management roles. Love his open ears despite being in a position of great power. I find I work harder with this kind of leadership, so I know the players and coaches will too.
Tl;dr = Proud to be a Viking fan for two new reasons after watching this interview. As a Viking fan for 34.5 painful years, these gentlemen give me hope for a long overdue Super Bowl Win! Let's "kick" our curse to the curb! 🏆

Two things I can’t recall the Vikings ever having. 1.) A young and hungry offensive minded coach and 2.) A Super Bowl.
I’m liking what I’m seeing so far and excited to see where this goes. Great for Kevin as well coming into a situation that isn’t a complete makeover and has some very talented players at his disposal. First time I’ve been really excited about an offseason in a long time.
