Also I feel like it’s a good thing he left her because he wanted to fulfill his dream and she just wasn’t down for it, and he sung this song to show even tho he’s living his dream he still misses her

He puts his emotion into it unlike most artists today. Thats why I like his music. You can tell he respects what hes doing and not only that but he has very relateable lyrics and his music actually means something. Its not just some sappy love song he talks about what a lot of ppl go through so its easy to relate to him. Anybody that actually appreciates all forms of music will like Bailey Zimmerman. Hes a bright spot in music and I feel its a very weak era for music but hes one of country’s best and he gives me hope. I was born in 86 so I was raised on everything from 50s classics to the hardest of rap music you can find. I love a wide variety of music and this is one of the guys that will keep country music relevant. Ppl love to hate on Jellyroll even though he makes pretty good music but Baileys songs seems to get ignored by ppl that hate country music lol. Ive noticed ppl that truly cant stand country will tolerate him over all others on the radio. I love music but hate this era so its rare I really take interest in an artist.

Imma start by saying I don’t know your story, I.E dad/daughter etc. but you sir are a legend! Because you’re showing your young days music! And my mum and dad did that to me! I was brought up with all kinds of 80/70/60s music. Motown/rock/pop rock etc. it’s only time you can hear the real raw vocals/story telling etc. (first found you watching the Steelheart - she’s gone. Imma keep watching some of your vids, also saw you do Johnny cash! Another classic story teller!

Also have you reacted to Seperate Ways / Journey? Steve Perry’s vocal range is crazy! I seen you’ve done faithfully, another classic!

I think its important for anyone watching Zimmerman live or recorded that the dude is a 23 year old American male from Louisville, IL who does not have a history of performing in any entertainment or arts setting. I've seen clips of him on stage performing, and the guy is just hopping around with energy and so wide eyed. I think he'll find his grove on camera and live eventually with the help of Wallen and Ern.
So yes, Billboard and Hits Daily Double has been sort of wording this in a confusing way, but Bailey's recently-released album , Religiously, is the most streamed country album for a musical act's debut album in history, but not the biggest debut week for a country album, which the way his achievement was being touted could be construed as such; that latter title belongs to Morgan Wallen with 498 million debut-week streams for One Thing At A Time, which is also the most single-week streams for an album categorized as country; 2nd place for single week is Taylor Swift's redo of Red, which is sort of unfair that Luminate/Billboard is countrng the world's biggest pop stars rehashed albums as "country" even though Wallen has still been out doing her overall on the country side. I don't know Bailey's debut stream number, but it was likely around 1/6th of Wallen's. Moreover, in 2022, Bailey released a 9-track EP with some of these same songs on it as this year's album, and at that time, since Luminate considers EPs the same as albums, it was the most streamed debut album, but now he is again being counted as his "debut" album, because its his first full length album.
Here are some fun facts that are semi related to Zimmerman: HitsDD had an article out stating that country music has found its groove in the mainstream big time thus far in 2023 with this week having the #1 album of the week and year in Wallen's new album and the #1 and #2 songs in the USA according to the multimetric Hot 100; Last Night, Fast Car, respectively. Likewise, Billboard had a much more comprehensive article this week explaining how this has happened; driven by Gen Z'ers. the genre finding balance with streaming, radio spins, and digital songs sales all peaking at the same time; at least for these top two acts. According to the article, country songs have been very popular for some time, but now Wallen and Combs have sort of cracked the code on the charts. They both released these afore-mentioned singles to pop radio, and are getting 20+M streams per week, plus plenty of digital sales (which doesn't really count for much), but then spins on multiple radio formats: country, adult contemporary, adult pop, and mainstream pop; making these two songs untouchable right now on the charts. Last Night has been #1 for 12 weeks, and Wallen's album+singles #1 weeks (Doubles) is now tied with Michael Jackson's Thriller + Billie Jean, Beat It with 10 weeks in which both the album and song(s) from the album have sat at #1 simultaneously. The only Doubles above Wallen and his album+song now for history is the soundtrack Saturday Night Fever + Staying Alive, Night Fever, If I Can't Have You with 13 combined Doubles in 1978; and the soundtrack Bodyguard + I Will Always Love You in 1992-93 with 12 Doubles. So also Billboard stated that country music is right now tied with pop music for top 10 song performance in 2023. Wallen has had 5 songs in the top 10 this year: You Proof, Last Night, Thought You Should Know, ONe Thing At A Time, Thinkin' Bout Me. Zach Bryan 1 Something In Orange; Zimmerman 1 Rock and A Hard Place; and Combs Fast Car. I will predict today that Jelly Rolls latest single, A Favor and this song will eventually make it in the top 10, but that will depend somewhat on new pop music that comes out for the rest of the year and how hard it hits.

With the mention of the girlfriend coming to the show, it reminds me of Luke Bryan’s “I Don’t Want This Night to End”/“Drunk On You” storyline; great review, and another artist for me to check out!

Sorry. Lame same.and IMHO leave the police and religion out of the music. You turn too many people off. Horrible song. Horrible singing. Horrible video. Burch was right, in fact may have been too nice in not posting his origin take about this person's other song & video.

Unfortunately, this follows the old country pattern, lost love, looking for happy forever after. The problem with country nowadays is it so circular and then they stuff lost love in the circle. Did not like it. Too predicatable. Brantley Gilbert is a good storyteller, this guy is not.
