- YOL (engl: "journey") is a project for which the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar / Transcultural Music Studies invited two high-class musicians from Turkey - Erol Parlak and Kudsi Erguner. In Weimar they appeared on the scene together for the first time.
In this piece they present classical mystic music from the Ottoman era, Âşık-tunes and instrumental music from Anatolia.

Recorded in July 2013 at the Festsaal Fürstenhaus, Weimar.
"Allahım müziği yarattığın için çok şükür" dedirtecek cinsten bir dinleti. Söze hacet yok aslında. Ruhumuzu salıverelim uçsun, uçsun da tekrar ten kafesine girsin. Orada hasret çekmeye devam etsin.. ya ki son vuslata kadar.

The drummer is the best. Fluit,song and string is secundary.
Nedense bağlamayı çalan "Haydar, Haydar"ı hem çalamadı. Hem de, çok yaydırıp ezgisel bütünlüğü örseledi. Çok, çok daha güzel örnekleri var. Biraz onlara bakıp örnek alabilirmiş.
Dediginiz kişi Erol Parlak. Bir Profesör müzik egitmeni. Klasik bir Haydar Haydar çalmamış. Anlıyamamışsın. Keşke burda çalmasaymış zaten. Bu tür muzikiler zaten onun alanı degil. Harcatmış kendini bence.
