You have a better attitude than 99% of ppl I’ve messaged with or talked to about failing so I know you’ll not only pass soon, but you’re going to kick ass when you’re an agent! It’s not easy and like they say, 90% of ppl just give up. You’ll do great.

I took the salesperson exam 4 years ago and failed and decided to retake the 90-hour classes and try again. I know I wouldn’t have passed my licensing exam today without watching your videos. You are amazing!
I had to come back to this video I legit wrote down all the notes I knew so my brain wasn't scattered I took my time and just trusted God and my studies and I passed it! I failed my national the first time by one point because I didn't properly prepare and was devastated but didn't give up I did pass state first time I went back to take my national the second time and passed best feeling!! I DONT KNOW WHO NEEDS TO HEAR THIS BUT DONT GIVE UP!!You can do it !!😃
Great video Jennifer! I take my exam November 10th and stressing over the math just like everyone else does. I did watch your math videos but there are so many different formula's to remember and then when they word things weird, then I get all mixed up. Congrats again and thanks for making the videos!
Just don't let the wording trip you up! They literally put extra words in just to do that. Look for what they're actually asking, for the math problems rewriting the question and taking out all of the unnecessary extra information helped a ton :) you got this!
Hey @J&K StayinVegas I promise you that was my main problem the math.. And what I had studied wasn’t on there ... I’m in Alabama and most of mine were the question with discount points and a lot of wording and numbers that threw me totally off. I know I had to miss all of them and I think it was about 10 of them I guessed on all but because I was so knowledgeable on the license laws and agency etc it didn’t really matter I still passed with an 80% I was ticked pink and so proud that I had did it!!!!! So don’t get discouraged. Do your best and do the math last and if you don’t come up with the answer guess you won’t be penalized for it so just don’t leave any blank.. You will do fine!! Oh yeah and please be sure and read over every question twice and thoroughly they will change it up on you several times. I used all of my time btw.. 👌 Good Luck 👍

Exactly!! It's awful people think they can't pass the exam because it's "too hard". They just word the questions and multiple choice in such a tricky way it's easy to second guess yourself! Congrats on passing!!!

I’m so glad they’ve been helpful!! I’ve never been the quickest learner so all of my tips are truly how I passed the exam, and I only missed a few questions so they do work!! Let me know how your exam in April goes! Van-Ed practice exams are very tough, the highest I scored (without cheating lol) was a 71% so don’t let them discourage you.

The way they worded the questions & answers was driving me crazy haha I rescheduled for the 21st to retake state portion. They don’t tell you which questions you missed; only by subject. Same situation. I passed the state portion the first time. I failed the national by 9 points too! Taking the national portion again in the next few days.
One of the techniques that she speaks about is visualization. And you should use that technique when preparing for your exam. Thanks for that tips. It was VERY helpful!!!

have my test tomorrow i have somehow manage to fail it 4 times now, and i feel like right now im more confident then usual, but some reason that confidence is freaking me out and im super worried to fail it again. really hopping to pass it this time.
Knowing the math Is why I passed I believe! Definitely know the math if your in Colorado I got 7/8 which helped in case I got any of the other questions wrong!
Congrats on passing Jennifer! Any insights you can share into how your first month went post graduation? did you apply for your license right away? I know this is traditionally the slow season for Real Estate sales but the CO market is crazy. Hope all is good news for you so far!
Absolutely!! I’m still in my first month as a license agent so in the next couple of weeks I’ll post a video about it! It took me a couple weeks after passing my exam to finally pick a brokerage then I applied and paid all the fees after signing with CB. The market is insane! I finally got a buyer appointment set for this weekend but it was cancelled because the listing already had 23 offers! I don’t think there’s a better time to get into real estate though, I’ll share everything I’m learning for sure :)

I'm hoping you are getting all the help you need from them with this extremely fast paced market - 23 offers is crazy and I hear so many similar stories. I can only imagine how daunting this is for a new agent!

Can you have more that one scrap paper and do you have to bring your certificate? I completed my online hours in March and I got the certificate but never heard if you have to bring it with you or not. Thanks girl!
Oh awesome! You got this! You can only have one scrap peice of paper and I used every inch of it! You do not need a birth certificate but you do need two forms of identification (I brought my passport and drivers license). The information was hard for me to find too! But here in the greater Denver area there was lots of options, I ended up going to a spot in Longmont. It was super quick, if you call your local realtor association they can direct you to a place!
@@latoyamatthews5538 taking practice exams over and over is what helped me the most. I’ve never been good at reading and retaining material so notecards also helped (hence all of my videos!)
I too am from Denver CO.....I haven't taken my test yet. I'm reviewing right now. But I am so nervous because I feel I didn't retain anything and that I won't pass my exam. Well I shouldn't say I didn't retain, more like not as much as I thought I would.. As an adult I believe I have ADHD and it sucks. But I really want this and I'm not giving up.
I'm so sorry on the late response! The CO exam is supposed to be one of the toughest and it's incredibly boring material so trying to retain any of it is hard work! How is it going for you now?
@@JenniferBergman Hi Jen. I took the school exam the other day and I didn't pass. But I knew I wasn't going to because the whole time I was studying, I keep wondering what the test was gonna be like. Well, now I got an idea and believe I can pass it with a little more review. Although, I was wondering. Now that I've done my 168 hours, but failed the school test. Do I need to re-do the whole course again or I can continue to review and take the PSI when I'm ready?
@@veronicanieto3064 that’s the nice part of getting a real “practice” exam over with. You can retake it whenever you’re ready! I suggest reviewing and taking it soon so you don’t forget anything.
@@JenniferBergman I guess it's just the institute I'm going to. Because they said if I didn't pass the second time with the school exam. I would have to take it all over again and pay half of what I had paid the first time. Which I found funny because I hadn't heard that with others. :(

Hello! I totally understand your questions, they don't seem to make it very clear before the exam. When I passed both sections they gave me two sheets of paper that had my score on it. It also had a website link to go register for my license after I signed with a brokerage. (you have to sign with a brokerage before getting your license)

I hope you see this soon... I am headed into my 3rd attempt on Wednesday June 23rd. I tested twice last week. My first test, I missed by ONE POINT and my second attempt (yesterday) I missed my three. I immediately rescheduled. I am in Georgia and am seriously considering suing the state for emotional distress lol (joke) I am so close and its very frustrating. I have a habit of changing answers, second guessing etc. When I change a answer I'm so sure that it's the correct answer when I do. Do you have any suggestions for me? Should I study more? When you fail GA gives you no indication of what you did wrong just a blanket score sheet of where you are weak. I don't even know where to start to review 😕
I didn’t pay for any extra practice exams, I used the one my online course offered (VanEd) and that was plenty for me. PrepAgent has some good ones and they aren’t expensive for the package.

That means you just need to review and you definitely got it on this next try!! Let me know when you pass 🙌 I used the prep agent videos to start and then focused on the answers I got wrong on my practice exams (didn’t pay for any, just used vaned).

Questions for you: 1. the in-person exam for the realtor license, was it at a Prometric Center? 2.when you send your paperwork to the state to be qualified for the in-person exam, do they give you a time-period of when to schedule the exam? like within 30 or 90 days or etc. 3. How many questions is the in-person exam? appreciate you posting it up, just starting off, so I'd be great full if u can answer those questions for me. Thanks.
1) yes 2) you must not be in Colorado? I didn't have to send in my paperwork to be qualified for the exam, I just had to finish my online hours and pass the course exams 3) 80 questions for the National exam and 74 for the State (in CO, it varies state to state) Let me know if you have any other questions along the way! Oh my gosh it’s been such a tough choice! In July I made a goal to pass the exams and pick a brokerage by my birthday, my bday is tomorrow so I’m cutting it close 😂 I think I’m going with Coldwell Banker though! Any advice?

I’m sorry for your plight my friend but i was once in your shoes before i was recommended to Mr Mason and thats how i passed My real estate exam.
I used some Kaplan, some AceableAgent and read a lil oncourse learning . I did 3 real estate exam scholar and my result came back failed
I only studied a lot when i went for the first time last year but the second time was so easy, all thanks to my aunt who introduced me to Mr Mason am really grateful.
I have sat for Real Estate Exam for the 4th time now and still failed, i guess licence isn't meant for people like me😭

Same situation. I passed the state portion the first time. I failed the national by 9 points too! Taking the national portion again in the next few days.
Did you have to take both over, or just the part you failed?
One of the techniques that she speaks about is visualization. And you should use that technique when preparing for your exam.

Knowing the math Is why I passed I believe! Definitely know the math if your in Colorado I got 7/8 which helped in case I got any of the other questions wrong!

Congrats on passing Jennifer! Any insights you can share into how your first month went post graduation? did you apply for your license right away? I know this is traditionally the slow season for Real Estate sales but the CO market is crazy. Hope all is good news for you so far!
Absolutely!! I’m still in my first month as a license agent so in the next couple of weeks I’ll post a video about it! It took me a couple weeks after passing my exam to finally pick a brokerage then I applied and paid all the fees after signing with CB. The market is insane! I finally got a buyer appointment set for this weekend but it was cancelled because the listing already had 23 offers! I don’t think there’s a better time to get into real estate though, I’ll share everything I’m learning for sure :)

I'm hoping you are getting all the help you need from them with this extremely fast paced market - 23 offers is crazy and I hear so many similar stories. I can only imagine how daunting this is for a new agent!

Those exams are written so tricky! I passed the first time too, but hated the way some of those questions were worded. Some of them can be interpreted in different ways! Argh!

Hey! Congratulations! I’m in Brighton and taking my test this month I just was wondering what you can bring into the testing center. Can you have more that one scrap paper and do you have to bring your certificate? I completed my online hours in March and I got the certificate but never heard if you have to bring it with you or not.

Oh awesome! You got this! You can only have one scrap peice of paper and I used every inch of it! You do not need a birth certificate but you do need two forms of identification (I brought my passport and drivers license). Don’t be terrified!! Worst case, you fail and can retake it a couple days or a week later. You got it first time though!

I’ve heard psi is helpful but I just did vaned and prepagent. Exactly what I used is in my description of every video, third time will be a charm!

The information was hard for me to find too! But here in the greater Denver area there was lots of options, I ended up going to a spot in Longmont. It was super quick, if you call your local realtor association they can direct you to a place!

I would call the program and make sure, but I believe they have to stay updated or they’d be teaching the wrong material 🤷♀️

I too am from Denver CO.....I haven't taken my test yet. I'm reviewing right now. But I am so nervous because I feel I didn't retain anything and that I won't pass my exam. Well I shouldn't say I didn't retain, more like not as much as I thought I would.. As an adult I believe I have ADHD and it sucks. But I really want this and I'm not giving up.
I'm so sorry on the late response! The CO exam is supposed to be one of the toughest and it's incredibly boring material so trying to retain any of it is hard work! How is it going for you now?
@@JenniferBergman Hi Jen. I took the school exam the other day and I didn't pass. But I knew I wasn't going to because the whole time I was studying, I keep wondering what the test was gonna be like. Well, now I got an idea and believe I can pass it with a little more review. Although, I was wondering. Now that I've done my 168 hours, but failed the school test. Do I need to re-do the whole course again or I can continue to review and take the PSI when I'm ready?
@@veronicanieto3064 that’s the nice part of getting a real “practice” exam over with. You can retake it whenever you’re ready! I suggest reviewing and taking it soon so you don’t forget anything.

How are you able to write down things on a scratch paper when taking the exam? That is allowed only in certain US states or all US states?
In Colorado we are give ONE scratch peice of paper for both exams, check with your state if this is allowed.

Hello! I totally understand your questions, they don't seem to make it very clear before the exam. When I passed both sections they gave me two sheets of paper that had my score on it. It also had a website link to go register for my license after I signed with a brokerage. (you have to sign with a brokerage before getting your license)

I hope you see this soon... I am headed into my 3rd attempt on Wednesday June 23rd. I tested twice last week. My first test, I missed by ONE POINT and my second attempt (yesterday) I missed my three. I immediately rescheduled. I am in Georgia and am seriously considering suing the state for emotional distress lol (joke)
I am so close and its very frustrating. I have a habit of changing answers, second guessing etc. When I change a answer I'm so sure that it's the correct answer when I do. Do you have any suggestions for me? Should I study more? When you fail GA gives you no indication of what you did wrong just a blanket score sheet of where you are weak. I don't even know where to start to review 😕

I didn’t pay for any extra practice exams, I used the one my online course offered (VanEd) and that was plenty for me. PrepAgent has some good ones and they aren’t expensive for the package.

In Denver, CO yes we were able to. Make sure to check with your school/city, I don’t want to tell you yes if the rules are different per state.

I used the prep agent videos to start and then focused on the answers I got wrong on my practice exams (didn’t pay for any, just used vaned).

2) you must not be in Colorado? I didn't have to send in my paperwork to be qualified for the exam, I just had to finish my online hours and pass the course exams
3) 80 questions for the National exam and 74 for the State (in CO, it varies state to state)

Oh my gosh it’s been such a tough choice! In July I made a goal to pass the exams and pick a brokerage by my birthday, my bday is tomorrow so I’m cutting it close 😂 I think I’m going with Coldwell Banker though! Any advice?
@@JenniferBergman I got my license about 3 weeks ago and I decided on Keller Williams. I’m not so sure I made the right choice. I have been told by a few people to check out Coldwell Banker! So I plan on doing that this week! Happy Birthday!
