Nevertheless, they should fix the rear wiper design. It looks very strange with such a huge arm mounted asymmetrically....
Of course, the price is not very attractive either.... but nowadays I don't think there is a reasonably priced car anymore (no matter what class we are talking about).
Who buys a Mazda 2 when you can buy a Mazda 3 for not much more money?
When you say "not that much more" we are talking about a fair difference in price. The cheapest Mazda2 is currently about £18k. The cheapest Mazda3 is about £24k. That's a 33% increase in the money your spending. Also means you could get range topping Mazda2 for less than entry level Mazda3. I wouldn't say the two are really comparable for a lot of people
I just ordered the Mazda 2 Exclusive Line (115 hp) for 17K in my country (Romania), where the Mazda 3 is 24K for the entry level...so there is a quite difference between the prices...
We searched high and low. Initially seeking a second-hand car here in SE Qld, Australia, but found the prices people were asking for them was obscene. People still attempting to sell overpriced 2nd hand on the knowledge their are still delays on delivery of new stock.
Thankfully we found what we needed in stock for immediate purchase and paid a few more thousand for a 2023 model. No regrets at all in doing so👍
Greater value for money for buyers now in new cars than second-hand ones. Sellers of second-hand ones are being extremely greedy.

Perhaps my first post was not very accurate.
The point is that the price level of the base Mazda 2 is relatively high and if you compare it to the Mazda 3 then it appears that this ~30% is a small difference to what you get in return...
L’ho ordinata a gennaio e a luglio dovrebbe arrivare (se tutto va bene).
Avevo ordinato la versione precedente inizialmente ma mi è stata cambiata con questa che come estetica e dotazioni devo dire non è niente male.

io ho ordinato il modello 2022 il 21 gennaio, doveva arrivarmi a giugno, tuttavia con una chiamata al concessionario a metà maggio mi hanno informato che mi sarebbe arrivato il modello 2023 ad agosto (quindi ho aspettato 2 mesi in più). Ne è valsa la pena perché l'Homura 2023 ha quel tocco di sportività in più che la rende inconfondibile. Mi è stata consegnata il 23 agosto, quindi pochi giorni fa ed è veramente una signora macchina, molto piacevole da guidare (molto molto più di un Qasqhai 115 CV diesel e di una Lancia Ypsilon a metano, che son le macchine dei miei genitori). Il prezzo è ovviamente rimasto lo stesso, cioè quello concordato a gennaio col modello 2022, 19.300 € (con annessa marchiatura cristalli). Ho dato il massimo acconto possibile, 12.000 €, il resto ho finanziato a 198 €/mese in 4 anni, liquiderò sicuramente fra 2 anni. Un ottimo prezzo considerando la qualità dell'auto, che non pecca in niente dal mio punto di vista, considerate che la versione Homura ha sedili anteriori e volante riscaldabili (e l'ho scoperto il giorno stesso della consegna!). A quest auto mancano solamente 2 cose per essere completa: la chiusura elettrica degli specchietti e una cosa molto strana, cioè il non avere alcun bottone analogico per il controllo della radio, nonchè lo spegnimento della stessa, nonostante nel libretto delle istruzioni indichi chiaro e tondo la presenza di un impianto audio con comandi analogici di accensione/spegnimento e cambio stazioni. Chiamerò la concessionaria perché quest'ultima cosa mi ha un po' colpito. Mi ritengo comunque super soddisfatto visti i prezzi folli che abbiamo ora nel mercato auto, e poi lo dico sinceramente: il motore 4 cilindri, il cambio manuale, l'estetica accattivante, i consumi bassi (seppur molto variabili se la si fa andare a giri alti) sono i 4 fattori che mi hanno fatto scegliere questa auto. Il sogno era la Mazda 3, ma alla fine dei conti ho fatto bene a optare per la Mazda 2.

Concordo con quanto hai scritto, aggiungerei altri tre difetti (secondo me almeno) il fatto che le portiere non si chiudano in automatico quando cominci a muoverti, il finestrino lato passeggero non automatico e il difetto principale i rapporti del cambio eccessivamente lunghi.
Comunque io come consumi mi ritengo molto soddisfatto, ho fatto Bergamo Livigno e ho tenuto una media di 20km/l e usandola in paese non sono mai sceso sotto i 18km/l (spesso tenendo l'aria condizionata accesa)
La mazda 3 era anche il mio sogno...chissà, dopo 3 anni posso scegliere se tenerla o meno, se i prezzi non saranno eccessivi un pensierino lo farò@@Towahamk

Paying in 2023 for a 2015 model is crazy. Without an armrest, electric handbrake, adaptive cruise control and lane keeping, this is the oldest car in existence today, the result is not to buy and I do not advise anyone.
As long as Mazda doesn't fork out. Join the boycott of this model.
I do have an armrest in my small Hyundai but thanks God I can opt to not use it, since it can be re - plied up - wards, so that is only a gimmick, no real value, but the other aspects that you mentioned are true and ... negative aspects !
