In 2024 I will be adding 'Monah' porcelain doll by Doll Essence and 'Amber' porcelain doll by Maryna Skubenko to my collection. Just got to finish paying for them. I've also ordered another Bimong doll in their last pre-order as the artist is retiring. So an exciting doll year ahead! I don't really have the space, but I'll worry about that later.

I want to work on design. I'm setting a goal of one new design per month for Tonner size dolls, but I don't to forget my minis. I think I will focus there on the 6 to 7 inch...maybe not one a month...maybe one a quarter. I will still look for deals on special doll. so... after deciding to stop collecting and even starting to sell of some of my more expensive dolls.... I gave myself a brand new AG doll for Christmas... even though I have used one that I am very happy with... Cause that is just my collecting stile, for the last 5 years LOL... So my goal for new year is to embrace myself as a collector and trust the life to roll out the way it must. I chose Corinne. I liked her most from what is available in Amazon for my country and she looks most different from vintage Felicity i have. She arrived just now! And there is vintage mystery box coming that I asked seller to make dolls and crafting themed. Thank You for sharing your Christmas dolly fun. They did not disappoint, I love them so much. I like your question "what your collection trajectory for this coming year?" I know one thing I want to do is get all my favorite dolls displayed in my office where I recently put up shelves for them. I want to spend more time enjoying my dolls and not having them in boxes. A lot of my dolls need stands for that, so that's one project for me. I also need to narrow down my collecting so it's more curated. I have a couple bjds that need faceups. And finally, I've started making jewelry for Smart Dolls, and I think I want to try and sell some. Fingers crossed 🤞 for a good dolly year for me, for Alison, and for all of us.

And I really love how defined your goals are - I've always hated stands but have been finding myself buying more and more stands 🤣 there's some on amazon I really like that work for fashion dolls if you look for Barbie stands - they come in a pack of 12.
I went a bit crazy with dolls this Christmas. My husband bought me Kavali, Isabelle and some extra clothes. I also got the AG Silver Christmas doll. She reminded so much of Daenerys from Game of Thrones. Had to have her. I bought some of the BMR Barbies and some OG dolls. Then I just got the Queen's Treasures Mary, Little House and some clothes. Went a little overboard but it's Christmas and my birthday, so all's good. Happy Holidays! Audie

My plan for this year is to try and finish off dolls that need faceups, hair etc. And I'll start putting aside a little here and there for a pear girl. But no new dollies for me this year. I saw 3 AGs for $20 each at the local thrift store and it took every bit of willpower inside me not to buy them - they were all dirty and needed some work but it felt like I was betraying them leaving them there 😆
I'm glad you had a nice Christmas, and I enjoy hearing you chat about your current dolls of interest. I have bought so many dolls since the end-of-season sales started last month that I can't even list them all. I think this was possibly the best year ever for mass-market doll lines. There were great dolls across so many brands: Barbie, Monster High, AG, Rainbow High, LOL, Bratz, and Disney (the ILY 4 ever dolls and The Little Mermaid). I collect all of those brands, and even though I didn't buy nearly everything I wanted, and I still probably bought over 100 dolls. Now I am out of money and space, so in the New Year I will be slowing my purchases, selling some dolls, and possibly looking into renting a small storage unit.
There really were a lot of great playline dolls this year - if I had to pick a favorite the ILY dolls stole my heart! I had to stop myself from buying more because I would buy every single one of them if I had the space 😆
Your new Smart doll is really beautiful. 💜 I didn't get any dolls this year for Christmas because I didn't ask for any. I only received a Moulin Roty doll and I bought myself a Barbie and a Harry Potter doll from Mattel. I'm not sure what direction I want to take with my collection, I'm very busy with work. I haven't added any dolls to my collection in a while because I'm feeling stuck on the question of what I want my collection to be. It'd be kind of fun to hear what you're thinking about as you define and see how your community approaches the same questions.
I was into aliens back then too. Between X-Files, Secret World of Alex Mack, Alf, and Animorphs I was "alien-d" out. I really did love the twins' collections for the nostalgia because I (we) lived that childhood. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
For Christmas I got some special versions of some books (a signed copy of one and a special edition of another) an old Rainbow Brite and Starlight toy I wanted (NIB!), and an articulated Engel Puppen Doll ("Andrea"). I also bought myself that Mori SD outfit you have on Forty :)

Doll collecting life!!! I too, have been a bit of this & that... think I have enough Resins (until I see one I can't resist) ... I'm mad for Blythe at the moment. I started with her because there is so much out there for her in the way of clothes etc. She can be changed up so easily. I'm trying to focus more on enjoying what I have via redressing, maybe learn how to eye change. However, to an outsider, the amount of Blythes I have in a short time speaks of doll obsession 😂... I love this style content!!! It's so entertaining to just hear people talk about their dolls and do things with them. So many beautiful dolls! For Christmas I did not receive any dolls but I do plan to use some Christmas money to get a new mod Barbie for my collection. Lately I have been focusing on best organizing my collection as well as getting new shelves instead of getting more dolls. Are you planning to get more dolls in the near future, but so much of enjoying your collection is having them look beautiful in a nice place.

I got Nikki and Isabel in March and I renamed my isabel tiffany because her green eyes reminds me so much of tiffany from bride of chucky Also I was wondering how you like the pear girl? I know she is different from the classic girl I would have trouble picking one
Mostly in the last few months Tonner dolls have taken over my dolly wants. So I’ve been so torn between them from eBay and SmartDoll. The strip is real and will definitely continue into the coming year. Also MonsterHigh and pixlings and ily4ever and Barbie or playline. Define and curate your doll collection is very hard to do I think. Actually taking the photos I want to of my dolls is a big goal and intentional interaction throughout the year.
Define and curate is SO hard especially when you like everything like we do - and how my interest fluctuates from day to day - I always like everything but some days I want to play AG and some days I want to do fashion dolls.
I will...I'm trying to decide whether to do it like this in my doll room with the tripod or to do it in the light box - it's easier in the light box but the whole doll doesn't fit in there so I don't know which is better - what do you think?
