So the receiver that comes with this package...Eachine 2.4Ghz w/ OPENTX firmware 2.19 @ 8 channel has anyone figured out how to delete models? I accidentally copied the novice 3 profile and filled the other 30 slots...I tried navigating through the menu but to no avail. Can anyone provide any insight or provide me some guidance so that I can remove the other models from the receiver? Thank you.
There's probably a better place to post this, but it takes about 10 seconds to flux, and solidify the hollow pins of a male PH 2.0 connector. Works perfectly. I actually have a bin of PH 2.0 with solid pins, but I thought of this one day, and quickly decided to test it. Amazing how with the right approach, the solder was sucked right off the iron into the channel, filling up the pin solid, without even a hint on the outside to affect the fit. I then loaded another tiny amount of solder, and dabbed the crimps.
@@AndyRCchannelTo entirely avoid the chance of melting the connector: Using a fine pointed tweezer, gently pull up the little plastic tab that lock each pin into the connector housing. While holding the tab up, pinch the corresponding wire near the connector housing, and pull it free. Alternatively, you can pry up the plastic tabs hard enough, so that they will stay lifted up off the locking barb of the crimped pin, allowing pin removal in a second, and separate effort (sometimes easier.) When returning the pins to connector housing, make sure they are inserted fully, and align tweezers, or small needle nose pliers, with both plastic tabs at once, and squeeze down enough to return the plastic tabs into their original position. Verify the pins are locked back into the connector housing with a close visual inspection, and a light tug at each wire. Of course this approach is harder wear on the plastic locking tabs, and so can be performed a limited number of times before the connector housing is shot. The other method will better preserve the integrity of the of the plastic locking tabs, but requires greater dexterity to accomplish. At any rate, when the pins are free of the housing, there of course is no concern about melting anything. This also provides for lightly soldering the crimp too. Soldering the crimp should not really be required, but you may see worn crimp area, wire stretch at the crimp, or just a poor crimp job, which imo lend themselves to such a treatment. Now, in both cases (Im speaking of the pin, and the crimp,) load only the tiniest bit of solder on the iron tip to avoid applying too much, affecting the fit tolerance of the pin into its mate, and the crimp into the connector housing. Try using solder wick to remove some solder, if you accidently apply too much. With all that said, this can absolutely be accomplished without removing the pins. A fine tip on your iron (I use TS-B02 on my TS80 soldering pen,) is more important here. Apply enough flux (in this case still a very small amount,) to cover the open channel of the pin, as it will help 'wick' up the solder into the channel, filling up the pin perfectly, and effortlessly. You want to load the solder onto the very fine tip of your iron (not the side, near the tip, but the true very tip,) which can take a little skill on its own. The amount, and position of the solder on the tip are important, because when done as described, it only takes the quickest touch of the iron to the pin, for the pin, and flux to heat, and wick up the solder. Not only do you avoid prolonged heating, but you also keep the iron tip furthest away from the plastic as possible.

Hey Andy, I started with the tiny hawk rtf and learned the basics of flying fpv. I absolutely love this hobby. I recently bought the tiny hawk freestyle. What would be the best next micro I should get. I need suggestions please!!!
True.. But think about how many units they have FC are probably already Installed flashed then boxed up.. That would be a mammoth job to update each quad guess the cheapest option for them is to just sell them with V1 hoping customers know how update the firmware. Which 90% of us can do but that last 10% those poor poor 10% quads fly like crap :D

Great video! I’m waiting for mine to arrive 😊 I was hoping maybe you could recommend a decent transmitter to replace the one in this kit? Something that won’t break the bank lol thank you
Wow, they really need this in like an $80 BNF! These would sell great for Christmas! I know I’d buy at least one (I often buy 2x or more due to experience with Lizard95, I still have a GTR349 still in box since I’ve yet to destroy the first one, but it give it time, haha!). I love the US/UK65, the only thing I’d want different on it is carbon fiber frame options (and this twig looks great because of that carbon frame if I’m flying outside anyways). A little longer flight time and a bit more speed is always a plus in my book!
Perhaps Eachine should release this as a BNF ... with FrSky & FlySky options. Now that it has decent batteries, perhaps release it as a 2S BNF with an XT-30 plug on it. Thanks for the look. Cheers.
