- No. 10 Notre Dame pulled away from NC State in the second half to roll to a 45-24 victory on the road. Familiar NC State foe Sam Hartman threw 4 touchdowns and 286 yards for Notre Dame. Brennan Armstrong tossed 2 touchdowns in the loss to go with 260 yards.

I grew up in Indiana 60 miles east of Notre Dame. And I was born with cerebral palsy, so I could not play football or sports. As a Notre Dame football fan for nearly sixty years, I have never been so excited for Irish football and with Coach Freeman. Go Irish.

Loving this team under the tutelage of Marcus Freeman. They are very good defensively and have a lot of wepons on offense. I really enjoyed the way the safety's and corners got after the ball and made some interceptions. And the d line and core breaking up plays and getting after the qb. Esty is a beast, too!

This is the best Notre Dame team I’ve seen in a long time. It’s amazing what a great QB can do for the offense, along with a great offensive line. Very impressed!

Really bad officiating! Looks like the Officials were going to make sure Notre Dame didn't leave with a WIN! They were ACC Officials and I guess that are tired of Notre Dame beating up on the ACC Teams, so they were going to bring that to an end. The first scoring drive was all penalties, the Referees did everything but run the ball into the end zone.

The number ten team struggling against an unranked
The entire replay of the game is on the ACC Network, and I tell you, you know who "WON" so that is not even in question when watching the reply, but you see all of those "AWEFUL" calls against ND, and we had some really bad calls against Notre Dame. Very poor Officiating! On NCST's first touchdown, the referees did all but score the TD.
ND brought their B game with a few big errors including Hartman’s fumble and still made adjustments as the game progressed and rolled over a GOOD NC St team. Offense was brilliant at capitalizing on defensive takeaways and just like Bryan Driskell pointed out, WOW was it nice to see that PA pass to put the nail in the coffin. Kelly era that would have just been a conservative attempt for the 1st down. The attitude this year is incredible- now go beat the arrogant party school the CFB world knows is beatable. Time for them to get punched in the mouth by more than Michigan.

I agree with you 100% on Staes, now if we can get Number 88 to stop missing so many passes that are right there! And drops! I can't wait until Redan is back, he is supposed to be the best of all of the Tight Ends, and he is 6'7'' to go with that.
#1 NCState launched into Sam's Helmet that should have been roughing the passer on that first blitz!! Go watch and tell me he didn't Launch himself into Sam's head with the crown of the helmet

I agree, this year's version of OSU is not elite. Yall better take advantage. I think they matchup well. ND shld be able to generate pressure, maybe force McCord into some mistakes. If that don't happen, well yall already know

I don't think ND should have a quarterback w/ a beard (#10) nor a defensive player w/ a heavy set of hair (#8). Estime is pretty fast for a big man.

Southern Cal will destroy the Irish. the irish played some lousy pass defense against a not so great passer. USC QB will throw for 450 yards and 5 TDS vs Irish to ruin their season. Irish achilles heel has always been pass defense going back 60 years. the O line didn'tplay well at all today. I like the fact that Freeman is playing freshman! Kelly was such a jerk for never playing freshman; just one of many of Kelly's faults ( gee, his first loss this season he said " our coaches didn't get the team ready"; how often did we hear that when Kelly was at ND? far too often. )
lmao you realize nd scored 27 on usc last year with terrible qb play…. where is usc pass defense ranked ? usc has had 1 good season in the last 15 years 😂 settle down bub
