As a Stoke City fan I will always love Tony Pulis. Stoke-on-Trent legend. He had no right to get us into the Premier League, let alone stay there. When other teams were splashing the cash on flair players, he would sign 4 center backs on free transfers, and if he was given any money it would usually be spent on an imposing centre forward. He made Britania into a fortress, a stadium which we'd largely struggled to perform at before his arrival. He gave the fans performances to be proud of. He gave our team an identity. He kept us in top flight football, took us to a cup final, and got us into Europe. It was a sad day when he left, and he went on to perform an actual miracle at Crystal Palace. When I look back now, I realise he'd been performing miracles in every game at Stoke City. Thank you for this video. Thank you Tony for everything you did for our club. Stoke City.
As a Middlesbrough fan I couldn’t respect Tony enough for what he’s done. Worked with he had and against a financial strain which didn’t allow him to build the squad he wanted. Superb manager and got us results at the end of the day
I absolutely love these interviews with past players and managers..It gives you a real insight into their lives and the majority of them have been utterly captivating.....Please continue with them!! TP was nothing like I imagined and what a top fella!!
Really good stuff, well done Jeff and Neil. Found it particularly interesting hearing a manager with lots of experience talk about supporter's expectations and sometime complacency.
Regards to Anthony (Pulis Junior), went to school with him and pleased to see he is assistant manager at Inter Miami. Tony senior watched me play a couple of times when junior was destroying us at Boscombe Albion and when I was lucky enough to be called up as a sub for the school team.
Great interview changed my perception of TP completely seem to remember the rumors going around when he was manager at AFCB that he deliberately fell out with players so he could sell them but now I can see that he had to sell for the club to survive Still not sure about the style of football he employs though!!! UTCIAD
Pulis does this to every club he 'visits'. Knocking other managers is cheap. He names the 55 mill of spending but not the 48 mill Boro got back. He had a worse record than Monk, played boring football, forced Braithwaite out. If he had been such a good mgr why didn't Gibbo keep him. He then 'stalks' Monk to Sheff Wed only to get the sack after appalling football. He should retire to a museum. Bill

Why does he sound like an Englishman, when he apparently grew up in Wales?

Any timestamps, wondering what part he talks about the Boro. UTB
Nevermind listened to it from the start. BORO Talk at 43:20
