- In this hunting video we go alligator hunting in the swamp in Central Florida, harvesting two massive gators with our good friends Capt Byron and Kim Hennecy. Brian aka Puddin was awarded two alligator tags and we hop on the airboat and we harvest two 10' + alligators in less than an hour! Darci, I just want to say a big thanks for your videos. My daughter will be 9 the 14th of this month and I asked her what she wanted for her birthday and she replied" hopefully I'll get to meet darci" . It melted my heart. We live on a private lake in auburndale and all this kid does is fish. She watches your videos daily ( usually over and over) trying to learn your techniques. Really enjoyed watching and you made it look so easy and was worried if they had co ordinated hunting behaviour and the rare giant gator horror movie check your stern which they do boo , guess I'll have to imagine the taste as nobody make alligator artificial flavouring.

I was in Hilton Head, SC for vacation a few years back. I rented a house that was like a hundred yards from the beach and had a big canal in the back yard. I was just walking around the canal and didn’t even see it till it broke the water and snapped. I don’t know how big the gator was, but it looked like a damn dinosaur.

Great video. I've had gator once in back in 1976-77, I lived in Pascagoula Miss. at the time. A little Mom an Pop place restaurant had gator dinner special, which I had. It was a round piece of meat with a round cartilage in the center and it was delicious, it was white meat about 5" around and 5/8 to 3/4 in thick. To me it tasted very similar to a pork chop. Once again loved the video. Chuck G.

Ya know something no one ever covers is cost.
Not what it cost you but what the normal Joe Smo would expect to pay from the tags, guides and processing.
Knowing you can't be exact and things change from year to year but your videos don't.
Just a question
The tags are $272 for Florida residents and $1,022 for non-residents. The processing is around $25 per foot. As for the cost of the guide, Some are $500 for the first 7ft of the gator and $500 more per foot over the 7-foot mark. So that would mean it could cost $2000 for the guide if the guide gets you a 10-foot gator.
