    Thank you so much, I thought I was being dumb looking at other videos but yours had the right pace and info. All I needed was a splitter cable and no other videos mention that. Thank you again

    Thank you. This is the only video that shows you what to do. FYI for all for Mac you have to have the pro versions of the software.

    This is an excellent series of tutorials. Very professional, nicely done videos, and the pacing is great for a beginner to follow along.
    thank you!

    Hi, I'm using a s3 controller and external bluetooth speaker. I've routed it but can't get the speakers sound and monitor speakers to work accordingly. Anyone got any tips?

    Your videos are spot on! Can I use the Audio 2 as interface between Mac Os & two stand alone speakers? My mixer is a Vestax VCI 100. Cheers!

    I am a hude ditz... I never even thought to mono-tize the signal and run a splitter to get headphones. I ran my mobile gigs without being able to use the headphones correctly for YEARS until I got my controller. Talk about feeling stupid... I used the waveforms to find where I wanted to mix in. Not easy... but after a LOT of practice I actually got good at it. But to think about all the beatmatching practice I missed out on back then...LOL

    I guess I have a problem....
    I use Traktor S4, so I don´t need the splitter right. So, I follow all your steps but the problem comes when I try to configure the last step, Output. I press internal, but afterwards, the menu doesn´t show the options that appear on the video. I only get built-in options, can´t hear through speakers.... HELP!!

    Hey, I need some help. I followed your steps except when I turn a track deck down the audio won't lower in the headphones. I'm really stuck on this.

      Ok, no worries :-) So, do you have a splitter cable? Have you created a mono signal for the Monitor? Have you clicked the CUE button inside Traktor? Which view setting do you have it on? Try using "Mixer" and then you should see some extra controls for monitoring appear? Please let us know how you get on and we will help you get to the bottom of this! :-)

    I have problem.I use cable spliter and connected my speakers and head phones to laptop(also connected my traktor s2mk3 contoller) l edited audio setting like you in video,but music play on both speakers and headphones, l press cue button but no effect stil playing on both speakers and headphones.

    • @digitaldjtips
      @digitaldjtips  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your speakers and headphones should be connected to your S2 Mk3, not to your laptop. You do not need to use a splitter cable with the S2, as it has a built-in audio interface.

    How do I connect my speakers to a controller such as the Traktor Kontrol S8? I have this controller with a desktop windows pc and I can hear the sound through the monitor speakers using the HDMI option in the audio set up but I get no sound through my yamaha HS8 Studio monitor speakers. I tried hooking up them through the main outputs via an XLR Cable and also through the Booth outputs via a 1/4 x XLR cable. Neither options worked. I'm sure it is just because my settings are not set properly for this setup. Please help. Thanks

      As long as your S8 is plugged into your computer and Downloaded the latest drivers for the S8 u should be all set.

    hey guys! make note there are different splitter cables. make sure you get the "LEFT AND RIGHT" splitter cable for the purpose of djing (headphone monitor cue from main speakers) and not the typical one they usually sell in airports of office supply stores that ONLY allows you to share your IPOD aux which can then split or share a STEREO not Mono signal to two headphones which defeats the purpose of what we're trying to do here. i got one and staples and it wasn't clear that it would split Left to Right or make it in Mono signals and not even Guitar Center had it. PLEASE UPDATE THIS VIDEO OR INFO. HOPE THIS HELPS A TRIP AND SOME MONEY. P.S. THE OTHER VIDEO DIGITAL DJ TIPS MENTIONED THIS ALREADY, BUT THIS WAS THE VIDEO I SAW FIRST. thanks for bringing light to this topic tho. as a newbie dj these minor things could reek havoc thru a girls day =)

    • @digitaldjtips
      @digitaldjtips  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      "DJ splitter" or "mono splitter" is the one you need.

    • @joybeats2425
      @joybeats2425 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@digitaldjtips hey there! thanks for clarifying the terminology. it sucked that even a music store didn't even know what i was talking about and didn't even sell it. but now i know. i actually resorted to just using my novation hub to cue. but i'll try the Dj splitter and Mono splitter cables out in the future. thanks super much =)

    • @joybeats2425
      @joybeats2425 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@digitaldjtips Also, can you guys share some best cables out there? anyone? everytime i google it, it's not clear that it splits left and right mono signals. what brand do you guys use? sorry for all the questions. i have a dj set coming up soon and i'm trying to carry as less as possible since its only me carrying all my gear and the audio interface i have is bulky and i think this cable would help a ton. appreciate it in advance.

      @Joy Beats If you happen to read this, many thanks Joy Beats. I think you just answered my question (and stopped me making a fool of myself). All excited about using the splitter cable so I could cue while using the internal mixer, having configured exactly as Digital DJ Tips advised, IT JUST WASN'T WORKING (getting only a mono signal through the speakers and only achieving stereo by pressing the CUE button on the deck that was playing, which obviously defeats the purpose). Conclusion: I think I must have the wrong splitter cable.
