Also, when it comes to the flagging tape, I suggest picking a color depending on your season. For instance, don’t use a orange during fall. You can lose the visibility of it at a distance. Also keep a small sharpie marker and write some crucial information for your rescuers on the flagging tape, such as your name, the date the time the direction you’re traveling and if you’re injured or not
Great idea and good stuff. Beginners like me have no idea what some of the things are eg the packets and It would be nice and helpful if you listed them with their purchase links please. please
@@gearnmore91 You can use reflective aluminium foil (1 to 1,5mm), it's sturdy yet bendable, light weight and easy cutable to your prefered size and shape!! I'm also using small magnets and some pieces of small sheet metal (on which I glued my aluminium mirror) to create divisions in my tin, medical, food&drink and construction so I have easier access to what I need and don't have to rumble through everything!
Great little well thought out kit, with your Wave can't you contact Leatherman and get them to fix it under their 25 year guarantee. Might be worth a try and trying to realign the pliers could snap them completely especially if you use heat. Anyways great kit with some good choice items. Atb from the U.K
Hey Rob thanks for watching. I will definitely reach out to leatherman and see if the could fix them. They still “work” but definitely not up to snuff for sure.
I have plenty of skills but why not pack as many helpful items you can while still being small compact and light weight to make life a little easier in a bad situation

Solid advice thanks for watching!
Pretty cool kit, thanks for posting.
Some really good ideas here.
Thank you! It is ever evolving.
That compass will let you down.
It’s really more of a backup my edc watch is a citizen and has a compass built in to the mechanics of the clock and doesn’t have a battery
Well thought out kit, nice job.

You might throw a razor blade for various purposes and a thin mirror in that for signalling, heating or shaving when you stay out for over 72 hours!
Thanks for the advice! I do need to add a mirror for sure I just don’t think I had a smaller one to fit in the kit.
