Dartmoor at 18th and below Hawke’s Bay and Bangkok is insane, that map is great. I do wish there was a second target but I love the vibe and ambiance of the map. I’ve got it ranked 7th overall personally

Colorado was a map which I enjoyed more, the more I played it. Doing it on Master Difficulty, and getting all of the challenges really showed me how well put together it is.
Colorado is actually among my favorites if only for the atmosphere and the supremely underrated disguise hierarchy. I know the location is derided as generic or visually bland, but I really like the change of pace to such an openly hostile environment. I actually enjoy the lore of the series, and it really makes you feel like the ICA is making a serious mistake. It also actually SHOWS us how organized and dangerous the Shadow Client’s forces are, which I think is a pretty important thing for the game to have done.
@@thegrapethief5514 yup i enjoy Colorado too, specially lore-wise. It’s just that I’m a sucker for atmosphere, aesthetics and the overall feel of the map; Colorado is too oppressive and “ugly” in that aspect for me.
Apart from the disguise hierarchy (with the two tiers of security and waiters), Paris also is the template for the most common target design: the public/stronghold combo, where you have 1 target who patrols a public, easy to get to area and the other is in a much harder to reach, higher security area. Paris, Sapienza (kinda), Bangkok, Hokkaido, Miami (after the race ends), Whittleton Creek, Isle of Sgail, Dubai, Mendoza and Ambrose Island ALL use this template. Most of the maps that don't have either more than 2 targets or only 1. And lo and behold, your suggestion for making Marrakesh better? Changing it from 2 stronghold targets to this template.
@@ethanlivemere1162 Is andrea supposed to be the public in santa fortuna? Tbh it feels like all 3 of the targets on that map are in a stronghold, but I guess hers is the easiest to infiltrate
When first playing Hitman (2016), I always dreamt of going to Vernazza, the real-life equivalent of Sapienza. Last year, I did (as part of the Cinque Terre route), and it was mind-blowing how it reminded me of Sapienza.
Even though my personal preference differs, for a first video this is excellent work. Really engaging, paced well, you were entertaining and amusing. Greet level of detail. Loved it
Something interesting, Colorado was originally meant to be an abandoned granary that would have been easily the biggest map in Hitman 2016, which makes more sense for 4 targets. I can only imagine they had to scrap it for time.
My number 1 is Isle of Sgail On my first play through I got caught slashing the targets throat, the guards called it in as I was leaving through the window, as I was walking the streets, the guards below acknowledged the call in saying something like "okay we have a murderer, keep an eye out" and I was just there, blending in with the crowd and walking to an exit. That interaction always stuck with me.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of Ambrose Island on my first playthrough, but it definitely grew on me as time went on. It feels like a sort of gritty fusion between Haven Island and Santa Fortuna in a lot of ways.
Hokkaido also has the definitive best kill in the entire series: revealing your identity to Erich Soders, inducing a heart attack. Like you cannot tell me that isn’t absolute cinema
Its cool how even the conventionally lowest ranked maps are still able to be somewhat enjoyable for some players nonetheless. It goes to show how much love IOI have put in this trilogy and tried to craft a truly memorable gaming experience for different kinds of players. And yes, if you’ll be a little bit more creative, you can play through the Agent Montgomery’s interrogation in SA, which has made Berlin my favorite map as well. Cheers!
My Top 10: 1. Isle of Sgail 2. Berlin 3. Hokkaido 4. Chongqing 5. Mendoza 6. Miami 7. Sapienza 8. Paris 9. Mumbai 10. New York Special Mention : Whittleton Creek. The map & assasinations are not that good but I liked the overall vibe of this mission. Just a simple neighbourhood. Reminded me of that mission in Blood Money where you go in an American Suburb sprawling with FBI agents. Sometimes simple is good. You dont need over the top ideas just place Hitman in a simple neighbourhood & its still enjoyable.
My top 3 are Sapienza, Mendoza, and Berlin. I believe that Berlin is the ultimate Hitman map, basically throwing you to the wolves and telling you to use everything you learned of the past two and a half games. Sapienza and Mendoza are great to play and get a boost because of their beauty. Berlin is also the first map I got SASO on, and I did it without a guide. This video is great, even if I do not agree with all of your takes (I put Isle of Sgail below Colorado)
Mine Is Sapienza Dartmoor and Miami sapienza is my fav cuz I like the virus and other stuff and you can kill the lady if you go on the tower you can just shoot her with a sniper but with Silvio I like the one where you go to the church tower then shoot his eye when hes looking at telescope and Dartmoor I like it cuz the murder mystery stuff and when you go to madam carlise if you do one of them she just commits suicide kinda cool and Miami I like because of Racing and the color it's one of the best ones with colors and also Robert Knox the one you kill Robert Is name so it's kinda cool
@@janika3928, I enjoy the murder mystery story mission on Dartmoor, but the map is too gray and bland for me. I do like Miami, it is the map where I got my fastest SASO run (not counting A Bitter Pill on Whittleton Creek). And it is beautiful and lively.
I didn't like IoS at first... but it's growing on me after doing the escalations. They really help you explore the map (all but one for me at least). They are easy enough to figure out. Which I appreciate not having to look up a guide first. There are plenty of ways to do them as well as I later discovered. Miami is like that as well. Colorado is ten times worse imo. There really is only one way into each area. It's extremely limited and the lack of escalations reflects that. Even the devs gave up on it.

While I didn’t necessarily agree with every ranking of every map, I really liked this video and appreciate you putting the time in to make it! It was satisfying to hear you say it was one of the best video game levels you’ve ever played because I feel the exact same way about it. Good video and I hope to see more:)
Excellent video, I agree with a lot of your rankings although I'd put New York a bit lower personally. Also Chongqing has a ladder between the tunnels in Level -3 in the ICA Data Facility and the bottom floor of The Block so I think that counts as enough of a link as Marrakesh's tunnel.
Did not realize this was your first video till you mentioned it at the end. You’ve got a great career ahead of you, look forward to the future content…even if I couldn’t agree less with you on your #1 pick. Great vid man

Thank you, that's nice of you to say! And disagreement is a good thing, cause it suggests to me that my opinions aren't spineless and generic by the least haha
Great rundown, good to hear someone else's reasoning. I find these rankings very interesting since they're so subjective with the baseline level of quality is so high. So a great way of learning about what other players prize and like to see. My top 3 levels would probably be: #3 - Paris #2 - Berlin #1 - Hokkaido
the quality on this video is truly remarkable the editing, song choices, and vibe of the video made this a very enjoyable watch. Its hard to have a 44 minute video with no dull moments but you did just that, great work.
Chonqing: Outside the arcade is a keycode-operated ladder that takes you to the bottom floor of the ICA Facility; right outside the hatch is an easy-to-pacify Facility Guard, the most powerful disguise in the building. I'd say that's on par with the tunnel in Marrakesh.
@@SAMUSUMA love that some people can still love Colorado some of my friends do but I agree with bottom of the list although i would but the train lower than Colorado but it's still towards the bottom for me i still think people who love Colorado are absolutely crazy
Amazing video, can't believe its your first! (at least - first one you have public) you deserve a lot more than 400 subscribers, and I really do hope you go on to make more like this, because this was genuinely the best hitman video I've watched.
For a connection between the B2 level of the ICA underground facility in Chongqing and just outside Hush's lab on the bottom floor: You can actually use a vent near one of the server rooms outside the data core. You climb through and go up a ladder directly to Hush's hideout. The same vent structure is accessible from the floor above as well. Near the security and analyst working areas. I've definitely got a different list, but i love your explanations for why you choose what you did. This is a GREAT video. 🎉
At first I wasn't too keen on Sapienza, because of the virus and how restrictive it felt getting to and destroying it. Pretty much everywhere else in the level was amazing but having to get the biolab card and get so close to it was an ordeal and I foresaw it getting old very quickly on replays. But as I played it again, I found more ways to get down there, found better ways to deal with the virus. From sneaking through the ruins, entering the lab from the back and shooting a stalactite above the virus to blasting the wall at 40:33 and sniping the virus from across the entire room, the virus went from a boring static object that you need to interact with to a genuinely enjoyable third target and now the only real issue I have with the level is how the plane is by far the best exit option due to how close it is to the virus, and how likely the virus is going to be the final target.
Amazing video, but I would say that isle of Segal is my favorite, because of all the pipes and ledges you can use to get to high places that would usually be hard to get to on foot without being seen. And for some reason, I really like the vibe I get from it. 😁
Maybe next video you can rank all hitman targets' elusive targets' and side mission target based on their inclusion in their map and how they are as a character
Definitely plan to do the main and bonus mission targets at some point, though ranking the elusive targets could be a really interesting video too, thankyou for the suggestion!
Congratulations (edited) I had to watch this video again its just amazing. You explained EVERYTHING about EVERY location. I mean you are really good at it. If I was going to do this video i was going to get lost
This is why I love rankings of these maps it’s never the same list lol aside from maybe a few. Some maps are underrated while others are overrated but I do personally enjoy every map in this game except the train, story wise its good. That’s it
Gotta love how we all agree to universally hate Colorado lmao. I do love the support for Chongqing on this list; I think there should be an option to disable the data core objective though.
Actually, I made an error in the video when I said that the data core wasn't optional - turns out it is only required if you start from the train station (which I basically always do). The point still stands though, as Royce can be just as inconvenient to access if not more so because of her loop. But yeah, Colorado can really be miserable at times lol
@@SAMUSUMA Mmm, that's very fair. Your review actually got me to boot up HITMAN 3 and play through Chongqing again and Imogen is indeed a bit of a pain to get to. Still, the mission story with her and the firing of three employees is a cool puzzle to solve for SA.
I would rank Dartmoor higher because it’s absolutely dripping with atmosphere and gorgeous level art. And I would rank Santa Fortuna and Chongqing lower. But overall agree. My number 1 is Miami, followed by #2 of Hokkaido. Impressive that this is your first video!
i love the atmosphere of Dartmoor. Wandering around the quiet, empty-feeling house, using the secret passage ways, etc. If there was a map I could live in for a day, it would be Dartmoor.
Good Video, I must say I went into this video expecting some wild takes, but I must admit that I genuinly agree with most of what has been said and even with the points that I disagree with, I can see where youre coming from. Berlin is one of my Top maps as well and Sapienza does hold up Amazingly for its age. However I absolutely adore Hokkaido, it is my favorite. Not too big, not too small. Not too confusing and diverse, but at the same time not too bland and boring, truly good stuff. Oh yeah and Colorado sucks, the only thing that map is good for is the sniper mission in the Virus campaing lol
wow just wow awesome video super well done then to hear that its your first video i was shocked the quality here is insane glad this was recommended to me
Berlin feels like the bit in John Wick where every other High Table member is hunting him down. I suppose its basically the exact same thing, now that I type it out
That's completely understandable. I personally don't think it's that interesting, but as always, the map is very flexible in its difficulty depending on how you want to play (though admittedly less than others).
I agree with most of your placements except I would switch Berlin and Miami. I love the traversal of Miami and the lore of both Knoxes. Similar to what you said about Chonquing, on rainy day I just load up Miami and I am instantly in a much better mood. Plus it is my favorite map to play in VR.
"The submarine angle should be cut entirely." I don't fully disagree with you, but it does have the "submersible party bus" line and that's enough for me
I might be biased because I'm Colombian but I love how you think Santa Fortuna and Mendoza are pretty (to you) it makes me feel proud of not only my country but also my continent. Great video 😁 I pretty much agree with all of your positionings except for Haven island and NYC (cuz I don't have them xD)
Spending the entire Dartmouth level forgetting you’re an assassin and playing out a dream of being an old school tv detective is incredible. If they made a stand along Sherlock style detective game it would be phenomenal.
The data core objective in chongqing is optional if you choose a starting location that isn't the train station
I realized when the video was already uploading and put it in the description, but thanks for the feedback!
No it’s only optional if you complete the mission once
You have to finish the mission once

10:Bangkok
Great rundown, good to hear someone else's reasoning. I find these rankings very interesting since they're so subjective with the baseline level of quality is so high. So a great way of learning about what other players prize and like to see.
My top 3 levels would probably be:
#3 - Paris
#2 - Berlin
#1 - Hokkaido
the quality on this video is truly remarkable the editing, song choices, and vibe of the video made this a very enjoyable watch. Its hard to have a 44 minute video with no dull moments but you did just that, great work.
Thanks! I seriously wish I had the time to make more videos because comments like these make me really want to xD
Gonna have a look at this later, very interesting that I never noticed this
@@SAMUSUMA love that some people can still love Colorado some of my friends do but I agree with bottom of the list although i would but the train lower than Colorado but it's still towards the bottom for me i still think people who love Colorado are absolutely crazy
Amazing video, can't believe its your first! (at least - first one you have public) you deserve a lot more than 400 subscribers, and I really do hope you go on to make more like this, because this was genuinely the best hitman video I've watched.
For a connection between the B2 level of the ICA underground facility in Chongqing and just outside Hush's lab on the bottom floor:
You can actually use a vent near one of the server rooms outside the data core.
I think the virus probably has better implementation than like every 4 in 5 targets lmao, it's very flexible and exciting
Congrats on 100k views let's goooo 💪💪
I think Colorado failing is what made Berlin and Hokkaido so great. Berlin is probably one of my favorite missions
Keep it up mate ! Love to see more Hitman content !
Amazing video, but I would say that isle of Segal is my favorite, because of all the pipes and ledges you can use to get to high places that would usually be hard to get to on foot without being seen. And for some reason, I really like the vibe I get from it. 😁
I just found hitman as a serious when last year and idk how this game isn’t MORE talked about. It you keep up the hitman content I’m all for it
Definitely gonna come back to it in the future, though I'm more so aiming for gaming analysis in general.
@@SAMUSUMA understandable mate it’s your passion do it your way
Maybe next video you can rank all hitman targets' elusive targets' and side mission target based on their inclusion in their map and how they are as a character
Definitely plan to do the main and bonus mission targets at some point, though ranking the elusive targets could be a really interesting video too, thankyou for the suggestion!
Top 5 in my opinion in no order: Isle of Sgail
Hokkaido
Hawkes Bay
Dartmoor
Chongqing
Honorable Mention: Sapienza
Love that the train here is a direct reference to your #3 map on the list 4:47
Congratulations
(edited) I had to watch this video again its just amazing.
That’s it
Damn, that must have been a lot of work! Great video, interesting opinions and remarks based on facts and deep thoughts - thanks!
All maps are good in their own way. My top 5 (not in order) would be: Mumbai, Isle Of Sgail, Sapienza, Miami, and Haven Island.
@@mathmaniac3033 Oh yeah I didn't mention that, the mission stories on Chongqing are awesome!
Completely fair, Dartmoor I underrated in retrospect, I love the map's style and focused too much on the gameplay elements that I dislike.
i love the atmosphere of Dartmoor. Wandering around the quiet, empty-feeling house, using the secret passage ways, etc. If there was a map I could live in for a day, it would be Dartmoor.
I don't think you got roasted enough for that HORRENDOUS Dartmoor pick
I like Marrakesh simply for the bloodbaths. It feels like you’re actually fighting a military force.
okay... you may have a point lol
HOW is this your first video? So good and detailed. Also Ben Folds rocks
First video ever is insane, excellent editing, commentary and just overall production quality. Subscribed for sure
A fellow Chonqing and Hawkes Bay enjoyer. You are a chad.
Great video
Great editing. Would never guess this is someone's first video. Hoping you will make more Hitman content.
just commenting because you deserve more recognision from the algorithm
First video and 20k views is craaaazy good video
wow just wow awesome video super well done then to hear that its your first video i was shocked the quality here is insane glad this was recommended to me
Nice edition bro; great video!! Loved it
Berlin feels like the bit in John Wick where every other High Table member is hunting him down. I suppose its basically the exact same thing, now that I type it out
youre right, theyre actually very similar except 47 doesn't go in guns blazing in the same way outside of that Montgomery confrontation
I was just watching until I looked down to 600 subscribers your so underrated 🎉
I personally love Colorado, i think the atmosphere is amazing, and the fact that basically everyone was armed, made it that much more diffecult
That's completely understandable. I personally don't think it's that interesting, but as always, the map is very flexible in its difficulty depending on how you want to play (though admittedly less than others).
Great video man!
honestly my favourite map is bangkok, the theme and world is so beautiful and its a really fun mission
"The submarine angle should be cut entirely." I don't fully disagree with you, but it does have the "submersible party bus" line and that's enough for me
Chonquing is my favourite hitman map too! I'm so glad a content creator likes it too
I might be biased because I'm Colombian but I love how you think Santa Fortuna and Mendoza are pretty (to you) it makes me feel proud of not only my country but also my continent. Great video 😁 I pretty much agree with all of your positionings except for Haven island and NYC (cuz I don't have them xD)
btw for this being your very first video, great job and keep going!
Great vid bro, especially for a first time!
Nice video! Agreed mostly and you raise points I didn't even think about so that's great! Good luck on future videos.
The last mission on the train is pretty much how every mission is designed in Absolution
Wonderful video. I love Hitman been playing it for about 3 years now. Started with Hitman 2. I love Whittleton Creek, Hawkes Bay and Haven Island.
This video is really good, you should make one about Blood Money.
Will likely do a full franchise retrospective when I've more experience with this TH-cam thing, especially seeing as my exam season is over.
Sapienza also has amazing bonus missions like the icon or the author
Insane production level for a first video, well done!
Fantastic video.
Good luck for the rest
Hokkaido has such beautiful aesthetics. Thank you for the great video
Thank you for the nice comment :)
Spending the entire Dartmouth level forgetting you’re an assassin and playing out a dream of being an old school tv detective is incredible. If they made a stand along Sherlock style detective game it would be phenomenal.
