the problem with Morant is his explosiveness....now hear me out. the most games he has played was his rookie year at 67 when he caught a lot of people off guard. now that same explosiveness is just a detriment ie like a guard named derek rose. even tho peek Rose did win MVP, once the injuries started mounting up he was never the same. so Ja is averaging 60 games a year (if you dont include his first and last year) but if you include those years he averages 51 games a year. Memphis showed that they they cant win without Ja (except for year 3 i think they went 20-5 without Ja) but they had Tyus Jones which in my opinion is highly underrated backup PG. and if you try to say well he can just try and not be as explosive then you are looking at a career 31% three point shooter.
Ja is one of those players who exclusively uses his explosiveness excessively and there is always that risk of injury. He doesn't really have a mid range game or a 3pt game. He led the led in paint points as a guard. He also plays with recklessness. Ja's game is fun to watch, but he isn't very efficient. His PER is only 20.6 which is low for an all star. If you look around the league, most nba superstars atre +25 PER. Ja talks a lot on social media too, and over hypes his team. If Ja could stay humble, talk less, less injuries, player smart, then I see a superstar.

Ja has had freak injuries. Twisted ankles from landing on a players foot, sore knee after Jordan Poole yanked on his knee cap, sore wrist after bracing a fall, dislocated shoulder while stretching. No bad back, no broken foot, not reconstructive knee surgery, no torn achilles. He's gonna be just fine.
