    So, hypothetical question. Given that our Star will got Nova and spit out all that matter is it possible that Jupiter (given its massive gravitational pull) will drag a portion of this matter in and eventually become a brown dwarf? Something the likes of 60 times its current mass?

    I'm a creationist, and (obviously) I do disagree with the ages you provide. Though I still find the way things are created absolutely fascinating regardless of the way they were created or whom created them. Using video games to educate is an excellent strategy, keep it up!

    the Mars like object that hit earth to create the moon was named "Thea" or how ever it's spelt... but it was slightly smaller than Mars and it hit earth and took a chunk and made a sorta like a large astroid and it soon had mass collision. That's why the moon had so many craters

    We don't actually think that the solar system formed from a supernova remnant. Supernova remnants are just too disperse for star formation. What we think happened is that our solar system formed out of a large diffuse nebula. These are clouds of gas and dust that formed in the creation of our galaxy. They aren't dense enough to form stars on their own, but if a supernova occurs somewhere nearby, then the shock wave will create dense regions, turning it into a dark nebula. Dark nebulae are so named because they are so thick that most light cannot pass through them. These are also called stellar nurseries because they are dense enough to form new stars. In other words, the solar system formed after a supernova shocked a nebula into becoming a stellar nursery.

    • @kbolternorris2676
      @kbolternorris2676 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Anonymous gaming No. If I undestood your comment correctly that is. Black dwarfs shouldn't have enough mass to become black holes. But that is not the real reason, that is actually quite vague. You see, theoretically the universe hasn't been around long enough for one to exist. Black Dwarfs "form" when a white dwarf simply doesn't have any energy to keep emiting light if I remember correctly. And that apparently takes quite a long time ( longer than the universe ) .

    If Jupiter has an iron core like earth, and it somehow now magically accumulated enough hydrogen to start fusion in the core, how many minutes till the resultant star went nova?
    Disclaimer: I'm no math guy

  • @gremlinboi5578
    @gremlinboi5578 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    what if it heated Jupiter up enough to set ablaze to its mainly methane atmosphere?

    • @gremlinboi5578
      @gremlinboi5578 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      also wouldn't the suns outward temperature drop as it expanded because the core would still be responsible for reaction but the heat would have more to travel through?

    • @VelociraptorsOfSkyrim
      @VelociraptorsOfSkyrim 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't know where you got that information, but Jupiter is 90% Hydrogen. Methane counts for less than 1% of Jupiter's Atmosphere.

      Hydrogen is also extremely flamible and given the size of Jupiter that 1% is alot lol

      Jace Rose For fire, you need equal amounts of Oxygen and Fuel, plus a spark.
      Jupiter lacks the Oxygen and a Spark to ignite its atmosphere.

      +Velociraptors of Skyrim then why can pure hydrogen be set aflame outside the atmosphere as long as it isn't exposed to the vacuum of space
