  • What does such a vanished Sudeten village look like? We will explore this and much more in today's video, which takes us to the southern part of the Eagle Mountains.
We start at the parking lot above Petrovičky, tourist signpost Adam CZ/PL. We follow the red trail in the direction of České Petrovice. After about 2 km we arrive in Ceske Petrovice, from where it is still along the red TZ to Čihák tur. ch. (3 km). Until you reach Čihák, you still follow the asphalt road. At Čihák we join the blue trail and after crossing the state border we continue 1 km to the Lesica signpost, where the blue trail ends and we follow the green trail back to the parking lot above Petrovičky (4.5 km). On the way we will see the vanished Sudeten village of Červený Potok.
The length of the route is approx. 10.3 km, elevation gain 222 metres.

Thank you so much for posting these videos!
I enjoy watching them from California.
Such a beautiful country you have. I have heard quite a lot about it from my mother who was born in 1930 in Bärnwald / Neratov .

Nice to hear, that I have viewers in California as well! Neratov is my favorite small village with nicely repaired church and local brewery. Worth to visit, just like the Czech Republic itself. Not to mention, that the surroundings states (Poland, Austria, Slovakia, Germany...), are full of historical places and beatiful nature.
      Greetings from the Czech Republic.
