@@AndrewSink No prob. There's few projects that blow me away and this is easily one of them. My methods before of making ascii art from models/images has definitely been trivial (mostly doing weird photoshop edits to help with creating legible ascii art in a generator). What a I really like is that you get a full-on preview of what it looks like, not just trial and error
Heyyy o/ I just came across this because I was interested in making some ASCII 3D models etc, I was wondering if its possible to use this script inside Blender? possible make some animations etc Geometry Nodes.
Interesting. Let's remember, however, that DOS-era text monitors had a "resolution" (number of lines and columns of text characters) that was too small to display anything beautiful, detailed.
Yeah, that's a great idea. The rotate button will animate the model, but capturing that still requires a separate program. I'll look into adding something to make the process easier!
Such a fantastic project
Right? It’s so much fun to play with!
Love it! Such a fun generator and it triggered my nostalgia :)
Right? I loved your example, it reminded me of something I’d see in a DOS game walkthrough circa 1996!
This is so cool! thanks for making it!
I’m glad you liked it!
Very nice man, I was just looking for a ASCII art generator
Awesome, glad you found this one!
Lovely project - have an idea for a ascii shader cross over and its just luck for me to find this, so recently posted. Subscribed! Love from Berlin
Awesome, glad you liked it!
That’s thinking outside the D.
fascinating. thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!

Hey, I remember my DOS boxes all being beautiful and detailed! 😂
Would be great the posibity to make videos out of this!

Love the project. By the way, I have a question if you know a way to export an object to a STL file for 3D printing using Three.js.
Sure! You could use the code in my Low Poly Generator as a jumping-off point!
@@AndrewSink Fantastic. Thank you so much.
