    Sorry you had to go through this. I also use to be a loyal customer at Home Depot. But after buying my kitchen cabinets and being lied to over and over. Plus not necessarily being taken care of. I will only now shop at Lowe's. Because they have messed up on order also. But at least they have went out of there way to make things right

    What’s with Home Depot! We had problems with measuring too. I will shop there butI will never use them for a remodel. What was to take a month turned into about 5 months. Horrible

      Hey Tricia - you had problems too?! Was it for countertops or something else? Well - we are 2nd week in Oct and still waiting...

      @@YourHostJ it was refacing cabinets!! We took our complaints all the way up the ladder to headquarters in Atlanta. We got it resolved but not without some horrible stress and confrontation with sub contractors

    Do not use them, run in the opposite direction as fast as you can it will be a guaranteed disaster and you will be victimized by this company on every level you could imagine. It's simply all about the money and sales they will never do right by the customer and all employees regards to a kitchen renovation project and their install vendors will fail you, at the customer's expense, and no one will take or assume responsibility for all the screw-ups and damage that does and will occur.

    Hi Beautiful! I like your outdoor venue much better than the car. Sorry to hear of your kitchen screw up, it appears no one can get ANY transaction correct the first time. I think we've all experienced dealing with people who have their elevators stuck between floors! Looking forward to seeing the completed job. Until then keep smiling and keep safe.

      Hi! I just bought a GoPro 10 (early bday gift for me) so maybe I can do more outdoor videos - whether is biking, walking, or whatever. Might be easier to run around with. We'll see. Thank you for your message. Still waiting on the countertops! At least I have a burner and oven so can cook most meals without a problem. Can't wait for it to be done though!

      Because I'm upset about a $3,000 mistake? Ok - "Super" Karen, Bitch, whatever you want to call me, but yeah - I work hard for my money so not happy about the mistake. Wonder if you'd say the same thing if I was a dude 🙄

    Glad that you could just walk away from that ordeal. And that you get to obtain the guy you've used before. Weird that H.D. didn't offer any kind of discount or compensation for their giant bumble of a mistake. Hopefully it'll all get done soon. We just finished putting wood floors in the downstairs part of the house. Funny how it only takes a half-hour on HGTV. And there's never any dust, lol. Two months! Tearing up the old wood floor, removing carpets and baseboards. Then putting down the wood floor and repainting the baseboards, etc. What a job. Have a great day, everyday!

      Hey John! 😂 HGTV makes everything look fast and cheap! I love watching those shows of remodels, etc - but I always get upset in the end thinking - no way that cost so little! I hope your job gets done soon. We were supposed to get our counters end of September.....still waiting 🙄

    I'm so surprised that they didn't eat the 3k. You're a dedicated customer, they should let you know they made a mistake and that they will eat the cost or at least compensate and offer a huge discount.

    Hate to say this, but whenever renovating, the home owner has to audit everything assuming that everyone else has no interest in the success of the remodel. When we had home.depot conceptialize our place we had to ask about the parts list several times, and each time it was different. We always knew that home Depot would never give us anything free. That home Depot in lihui has alot of turnover. I wouldn't expect anyone there to know anything . I would doubt everything. Plus it's island time with contractors. They are
    late because they are coming from west side. Their helper didn't show up because they surfed the day before. Plus the culture seems that vendors under quote just to be nice and then they quote the real.price.during the job

    • @YourHostJ
      @YourHostJ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh gosh - I know contractors can be the worst on island - and you're right that we should've tripled check everything, but to not even offer a discount for their measuring mistake just seemed strange.
      When I remodeled my vacation rental - people wouldn't show up because it was the first swell of the season or they already made enough money to pay rent so really didn't need to work, etc. It's crazy. I guess you start to learn things the longer you live here and it is what it is, just takes time to get used to 😂
