Thor's entrance in Wakanda was the best scene in the whole film. He got the biggest ovation. Anyone agree? Finally Thor was a star in an Avenger's film. Joss Whedon always sidelined him.

Saddest death top 3 for me is

2. Vision (guy died twice. Once by his love, then his brain got pinched in.)

The only one who really died are Heimdall, Loki, Gamora, Vision. Rest gets revived.
Carnazy gamora is coming back because she’s meant to be the main focus of gotg 3 along with adam warlock. Also I’m guessing shuri made a backup of vision because when she was getting attacked she was still pressing some final buttons so she’s probably done that so I’m guessing only Loki and heimdall is dead

Thanos is easily the most developed villain in the MCU, he’s easily one of the best comic book movie villains ever made.
I have to say, I don't understand his motivations entirely (but I'm ready to wait for the sequel for more on that) but he's definitely one of the few comic book villains to be well adapted to the big screen since the Heath Ledger Joker.
SSJ K-Dot his younger years were originally going to be featured, but had to be cut otherwise the film would be too long. They’re releasing an official MCU tie in novel that’s about his life though.

He didn't need an Origin story to be a great villain. The Joker and Darth Vader didn't need one either for example

Fun fact about Spidermans death, he died slower then everyone else bc of two things, His Spider sense, And his healing factor. He was constantly sensing his death, And he turned to dust slow Because his healing factor was trying to heal him why he was dying. My god. 😖

He realized what was happening and still had time to react and move a little. Where as everyone else Instantly died. Starlord, mantis, etc.) Imma have to watch it again and see everyone else death pattern But As far as I know, spidey took the longest to die. Think about it, starlord realized he was gonna die, then boom. Instantly gone. Where as Spiderman realized that he was gonna die, But the dust was slowly coming off of him.
Team Zeezy I think Black Panther was healing himself because of his last line. Everyone was standing around looking surprised and caught off guard. He must have felt death, which is why he was telling Okeye that this isn't a place to die. He may not have known she would survive, but I bet he knew he was about to. We just couldn't see his face because of the mask.

Thanos is hands down the greatest cbm villain of all time! He didn't just win mentally, he won physically. He didn't bring anyone down with him, because he didn't go down. Half the universe died and he was just chilling watching the sunset.

@OneLorde, he lost the physical battle though as well as failed to get the people on the boats to blow each other up. He wasn't fully successful like Thanos was, but he's an honorable mention for taking Batman and Dent down with him.
Oh yes, success wise Thanos outdid the Joker, but I'm talking about the factors that make a great villain : relatability/ emotion (this is where Thanos excelled) and breaking down the protagonist physically and mentally (Joker actually broke the Bat, pushing Bruce Wayne far enough to finally kill Harvey Dent). And performance wise, Heath Ledger is still at the top of my list though I will say, Josh Brolin was extremely underrated before he got his roles as Thanos and Cable recently.

I was telling my wife this after the movie. Hulk isn't as well developed in the MCU, so I had to explain to her that Hulk and Banner hate each other. Basically, Banner spends his life "ashamed" of Hulk and trying to suppress him out of existence. So now that Banner is trying to bring him out, Hulk is basically saying "oh, so now you want me around". She said that is petty AF, and I told her that, yeah, Hulk is basically a big, green, muscular baby. lol
That's weird tho cuz The Hulk isn't a very smart individual. Even if Banner was using him I don't see Hulk backing down from a fight because of it.

I don't know why, but seeing Thanos fight like that was fucking terrifying. It wasn't the fact that he was able to floor the Hulk so quickly, it was the way he MOVED. It was genuinely scary to me. I didn't expect him to use skill over brute force.

Starlord never did anything he hasn't consistently proved to do since his introduction - act on emotional impulse. He's a manchild - he's been in arrested development since he was taken from Earth and has never *had* to grow up since he's lucked and bumbled his way through life since.
I think the biggest problem with Starlord/Gamora in IW was that their love has never really been very front and center or well developed. Aside from shared glances and flirting, we haven't really seen anything to that suggests "I'll die for you" love (I don't think either one has even said the "L" word to the other).
Another thing they could have done was atleast have Starlord mention Gamora after the Thanos altercation (i.e. when talking to Stark and Strange).
If that could have been I bit more fleshed out, I think that not nearly as many people would have an issue with Starloard's actions throughout the movie.
Czah5 That's certainly true. But I think it's been clear from the start that Quill has had feelings for Gamora since Day One way more than she has for him, and that feeds into his manchild attitude directly. He acts like a hormonal lovesick teenager. We've all done that - hopefully not in our 30s like him, though.
Really, the one time Quill steps up and makes the mature, impossible decision to kill Gamora, Thanos takes it away from him in the cruelest, most joking way possible.
Remember this is the kid who's Dad killed his Mum. Now he's in an impossible situation where he *has* to do what Ego simply *chose* to do. There's a lot going on under the hood there.
From what Dr. Strange said, it was all meant to happen. Even Starlord messing up the plan, that was actually what had to happen for them to win, since they were following the plan that worked out of millions of possibilities.
Nao Sou Well that's a given (Google "Chekov's Gun"). But the participants in that one scenario aren't acutely aware of all of their actions being part of some larger cosmic plan.
It's weird watching people complain about films with "why didn't they do this?" reasoning. Shit, if Character A did Action B sooner, could have saved me watching the movie at all cos none of it would've happened! 😂😂
They could have developed his character more in Vol. 2 but it just felt lacking. They can definitely do better.
Heimdall's sacrifice made it so that the Avengers knew what was coming(it hit me harder than Loki's death). Had he not done that they would've been wiped out with no challenge whatsoever.

“WHY IS GAMORA” - RIP 2018
For me, this movie had the BEST soundtrack/score out of every other Marvel movie. A lot of people's problem with the MCU was the pretty forgettable music. But this....Infinity War and the End Credits were truly a masterpiece. The moment where Thanos finally comes to Wakanda, and Wanda has to kill Vision was one of the best moments in the movie for me. Truly beautiful!

Eh, it's honestly comes down to people's personal taste. Some MCU movies had better music than others. They all have /good/ music, but most sound pretty generic to me?? Black Panther, Infinity War and Guardians have the best, IMO.

Literally same, this was the best film and my favorite film. Perfectly made. Made my theater go dead silent, you couldn’t hear a damn noise. People forget if StarLord was really the problem then Doctor Strange would have sent him somewhere else. Meaning even if they got that Gauntlet off then they would have lost. Doctor Strange was smart enough to look into the future but it’s crazy knowing that they only had one chance and one way to win.
He saw Captian Marvel too
The battle on Titan between Dr. Strange and Thanos was some EPIC Shit. Wizardry vs a Gauntlet and both had limitless power and could bend reality.
There power levels are so far above everyone else's, it's insane.

You have to give mad props to Marvel Studios. To be able to build up to this for 10 years, and to not only pull that off but they built up expectations so high that they're almost impossible to meet but somehow they did. Ten years, so much storytelling, so many different stories but overlapping just like in the comic books. I've only seen a handful of the 18 or however many movies, but I can appreciate how painstakingly they've been building up to this. Just amazing.

What shocked me was seeing Tyrion Lannister as the giant dwarf. They also showed the second infinity gauntlet. But like you guys said every character no matter how short their screen time had a huge effect on the movie. When I found out Groots last words were Dad, I think that was the saddest moment for me, cuz we saw the effect on rocket. This movie was too much.

I've actually never been to a movie opening night where at the end no one clapped because of how devastated everyone was. it wasnt bad no one clapped, it just had that much of a wtf just happened effect. movie was incredible. even at the time knowing most deaths weren't permanent it still hit fucking hard. well worth the wait

Damian Blanco yeah. Its sad NOW. Noone knew what he said in the movie when watching. I didn't get Groot subtitled. Spiderman's death was crazy sad. But Groot's is sad as fuck now

I agree with everything you said but damn what got me was the response by all the kids around me in the theatre. You could overhear them crying & asking their parents why Blackpanther & Spider-Man were dead. I applaude Disney/Marvel to allow that ending. It was "Logan" level of shock x10. The MCU built this ish strong. Easily my favorite MCU film the Russos as creatives & directors are bosses! Markus & McFeely the writers are wonderful. They haven't made a mistake yet.
