Thanks for the review Theo. I feel like the Keys B&G set was the best they’ve done, and I think they should take more lessons from that one about providing what are useful handouts for players and DMs alike.

Thanks for this! Really appreciate the B&G breakdown. For the price, it’d be cool if the Mind Flayer minis were the rare, enemy-specific mind flayer minis from the Phandelver box set.
Unrelated, but think you could maybe start a series on every available mini for each creature that has multiple minis released (e.g. mind flayers, Pit Fiends, etc.)?
Thank you! I do want to do something along those lines, a top 10 list of each creature type perhaps. It will require me really organizing my collection though. That's gonna be quite a task.
I got my own copy several months ago. I will say I love the quality of the maps and the breakdown of the book into booklets.
What I really don’t like is the map choices. Why make a tiny corner of Cragmaw Castle or the entrance to Redbrand Hideout and not full sized maps? Instead we get partial maps for minis and a giant poster with a shrinked down version of several maps too small to use for mini’s…

I found it odd that many of the maps were only a single room of a whole dungeon
Well, a lot of the rooms don’t necessarily need a battle map. This allows them to focus on areas that really need a map for combat.
Great review! Its a nice set for abberation and drow lovers. I like the Amethyst dragon though its a different size and another chance to get one if not able to buy Fizbans super boosters. BTW: The Adult Crystal dragon comes out in August and I beg they stick with the same size for the last Adult Amethyst dragon as all the other Adult dragons, soo close would be gut punching they switcharoo to the new size scaling with the last of the main 15 dragons😰

Looks like a great product with lot of nice extras like the maps, the extra encounters and others. But since I only play D&D online via Roll20 these days it doesn’t seem to practical for me. Maybe someday as a collectors item.
I would love a Strixhaven box set though the book doesn't have much to go with... :(

Hey Theo. I know it’s been a while since they released it, but where is your review of the Beadle & Grimm’s Going Baroque Edition of The Adventures of Baron Munchausen adventure campaign released for 2nd Edition?
It is based on one of my favorite Terry Gilliam films from ‘89 and the custom Robin Williams Emperor of the Moon mini from that set was so well realized. Plus how many boxed sets include a full size Eric Idle standee?

Ah! It took me so long to finish my review of their Mindless Bureaucracy edition of Brazil that I haven’t yet been able to muster the courage for the full GBEoAoBM set just yet! But you should be able to find my review of the Lies and Balderdash edition from last year! It just left out the empower mini and the sky ship model.

The cost for a Beedle and Grimms set I would be willing to pay, but to ship it to Europe is just too ridiculously expensive, and that's before associated customs and taxes 😢
Ahhh... yeah, I can imagine. I wonder if they might attend some local conventions there where you could pick it up for cheaper.
I bought the Icewind Dale silver box and had it shipped to the EU. I was less annoyed by the price when I realised taxes seemed to be prepaid and I didn't have any import fees to pay.
