@@NaturallyHigh aww thank you so much. I feel like I'm in the midst of a celebrity because you were literally the first person I found online with long natural hair and I learnt so so much from you! Cocooning my ends and keeping my twists stretched really reminds me of you. So thank you 🙏🏾
Thank you for sharing. And yessss we can grow long black hair from all textures. trial and error, strategies and application consistency. We have been lied to, made to believe that only finer texture hair can grow long for Black Women, I thought the same until I grew my 4c/b hair MBL, I am 7.5 inches from WL. I went back to Hair grease, clove water, I use a good leave-in mix, clarifying shampoo and keep my scalp clean once to every two weeks. I seal my ends three times a week, make my own crochet braid wigs as a protective style, no tension my edges and my hair is thriving.
@@LegalEaze76 the GEMSSSSSS in this comment. Absolutely brilliant routine you have there. No wonder your hair is thriving! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 It sounds like we're both aiming for waist length next then, let's go sis!
Set routine 💛 Consistency 💛 Washing ! Moisture ! Protection ! Sealing ! Sundays are my retwist / wash . I moisturize same 3/4 days depending on dryness, then oil. Sealing my ends is new for me, but learning from you, I’m doing that flaxseed gel 30 days to see how that works. 💛 your channel is my inspiration.
Believing that long hair is possible is the first step in your growth journey. And I find that I continuously have to renew that belief and understanding.
I’m so happy for your hair growth this year. You’ll reach your goal by the end of next year for sure. Btw, you look beautiful. Longer hair is possible ❤
@@TonishaAmos End of next year!? gosh, that would be amazing. My prediction was around March 2027. But if I meet my goal by end of next year, I'll have to come back and find this comment and publicly thank you for believing I could do it 😆😊🙌🏽
Hey Sis! Long hair is certainly possible! ☺️ After my setback, I’m still trying to figure out the perfect washing frequency and narrow down on the perfect products. I THINK I got it, but hoping to perfect this in 2025. And prayerfully, no more setbacks! 😅 I love watching your journey. You look So different with no hair vs with hair! 🥰💕 Your hair is beautiful.
@@A_Wilson Heyyyy!!! I really hear that. That trial and error period after a set back can be so challenging but I'm glad to hear you're getting back on track now. I'm looking forward to a reset in 2025 myself. Aww thank you. I was about two sizes bigger then and used to wear make-up very often to not look like a boy with my short hair 😅😂
Trying to get to mid back length in 2025 from right above bra strap length. Taking my journey serious by doing the following (I have high porosity hair btw) Prepoo with coconut oil and rosemary oil before every wash day Washing once a week every week with either a moisturizing shampoo or clarifying shampoo (deep conditioning with a non protein deep conditioner every week) On the third week doing the olaplex bond building treatment and then deep conditioning On the 6th week doing my Aphogee protein treatment and then deep conditioning Every wash week after washing I will do the LCO method and detangle, and put my hair in twists and seal my ends with a grease. Let them air dry Pull them back and tuck them under and put a wig on until the next wash day (a week) Been doing this for 2 months consistently and have already seen a tremendous difference in my hair. The biggest thing for me is keeping my hair stretched, giving it protein or ensuring it’s not losing too much protein, and leaving it alone (low manipulation) she’s thriving now. Can’t wait to update next year on how it goes 🥰
Oh my! There is no shadow of a doubt that you'll hit your goal with that solid routine. Keep going luv, I'm so excited for you!!!! Thank you so much for watching and sharing your goal and routine 🌹🎉

@@EBM-po1xi hey, for maximum length retention, yes. If you're not too bothered about growing your hair longer then twists probably aren't necessary. With medium sized twists, I redo them every two weeks when I wash my hair. If I have chunky twists, I'll redo them every week.
Thankfully it was during lockdown for me, so I wore scarves often, then as soon as it got long enough to catch, I put my hair in single extensions for about 6 - 12 months straight. Then as soon as I could twist my own hair and get it into a hair band, I did that.
@@Natural2020_ thankyou so much for replying, it's lovely to hear your English accent. I am originally from London now living in Poland. Plaits mess up my hair line. It's something that I am going to have to get past, from a child I recognized this and thought it was normal as well as the dry appearance of my hair now understand ing I have high porosity. Did you have a wash routine when you did have your Twa, and how did you deal with moisture back then. ❤
Love this methodical approach ❤

Are you going to flat iron or blow dry your hair?
Good question, I may blow dry but probably won't straighten yet. I tend to straighten in March as that's my Hair-versary.
