This is beyond brilliant. RIchard Elliott is a genius. The Count was fantastic. The writing of this was perfection. I do not know how nine would give this a thumbs down. I enjoy this every time I Watch the dvd
9:10 That was so glorious when the Count did his signature laugh, followed by lightning and thunder, and that little girl's face just lights up in a mixture of fright and excitement. Thank you, Count for performing alongside one of the greatest organists living, and being a special guest with one of the most prestigious choirs in the world.
The amount of skill this man just demonstrated on the organ and for comprehending so many types of music and the hand foot coordination is absolutely mind boggling.
There’s talent and then there’s gifted. This guy in the person of Richard Elliott is phenomenally gifted, hands down. How he had his feet dancing on the bass keys did it for me. I thank God for him a lot.
This is excellent musicianship; he displayed the versatility of the organ and interpreted very ordinary or sometimes cliche music in amazing ways. I could see the excitement in the audience from people of all ages. Bravo Richard Elliott.
Absolutely fabulous!!! Thank you Mr. Elliott for showing that the pipe organ can relate, connect, and win the hearts of the youth and even across generations. His playing and musicianship was a demonstration of blazing virtuosity. I hope he transcribes that one, too; however, we could never recreate that wonderful performance. Bravo!
This just in. Count Von Count is amazed & impressed with Richard Elliot's organ skills. Touchdown Richard Elliot & Sesame Street's Count Von Count for Twelve Days Of Christmas. Best organ & Christmas comedy ever! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! 🌩️🌩️!!
5:23 Waldorf: "You dancing fool!" 2:02 Very funny, Count 2:42 Oh, Count, you poor baby 3:31 The Count looks so cute when he pouts 9:11 I was waiting for that part to come on
What a master player, this chap is an absolute genius! To play 2 different tunes with his hands, then a third with his feet?!! One can only dream of such skills! Thank you very much Mr Elliott.
This is terrific; one of the highlights of last year's concert. Richard Elliot arranged it and plays it all from memory. and the Count's commentary is hilarious!
I AM A PROFESSIONAL ORGANIST, AND I GET BORED AT TOO MANY RECITALS, MOSTLY BECAUSE OF THE REPERTOIRE. THIS WORK ROCKS !!! ANY AUDIENCE WOULD EAT IT UP ALIVE. BRAVO, RICHARD ELLIOTT. IS THERE A SCORE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE????
Ever the gentleman- Rick tells the Count "Thank you very much" for his compliment on his playing. Thank YOU very much for choosing to share your spirit with us!
You can tell when a person truly loves what they do. Rick, if you watch his jawline carefully, is laughing as much as the audience... bravo, Brother Rick, bravo!
Love the way Mr. Elliott makes that marvelous organ come alive!!! That organ should be on the list for U.S. National Treasures!!!!! Great job, Mr. Elliott!!! Thank you for bringing us such great, wholesome entertainment. You see, faith doesn't have to be old, tired and stodgy, and neither does organ music!!! Lovely!!!
Bach lives and shinnes forever!!! And you great and genius Sir Rick Elliot is a true spiritual son so gifted from him! God bless you in all possibilities.Yan Ayrton, classical composer. (The other son from the sublime Johann S. Bach is Gert van Hoef a young one!)
Count Von Count is impressed with Twelve Days Of Christmas, prepare to count up to the number 12. Would he do that with his friends back on Sesame Street during Christmas? Yes.
To say nothing of how when the Count does his signature laugh, accompanied by lightning and thunder at 9:10, her face lights up in both fright and absolute joy at the same time. We love you, Count, and God bless you, Richard Elliot, for your dual performance. :)
I absolutely A D O R E this! Mr.Elliott is absolutely fantastic, and the organ!!! Every time I see your organ I get touched. I'm not able to play organ, but I would like a lot, and you big organ is so wonderful and beautiful!!!! Thanks to you :-)
In Twelve days of Christmas, Day 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, & 7 has birds in the Christmas Carol from Partridge, turtle doves, French hens, calling birds, geese, & swans.
The little girl at 7:44 might be the next Richard Elliott. Mr Elliott could you please put off your retirement another 12 years so you can pass on the torch?
This performance is slightly different than the one I watched. I went to one of the early/first performances (technically a dress rehearsal I think), and the "11 pipers" organ solo was more epic, with the lightning flash being at the end of that solo rather than the end of the song. Also, the solo itself was bigger and badder, or at least I remember it being. I'm kinda sad they didn't use that one for the video, because it was about 20x as epic. The audience gave a two-minute standing ovations before the song even finished, and they had to wait to finish the song. I think they changed it to be a little more subdued.
Even without sheet music for Twelve Days of Christmas, Richard Elliot use memorization to play Twelve Days Of Christmas on the organ while Count Von Count counts Twelve Days Of Christmas from 1 to 12.
This organist is a true show of talent!!!! TWO SONGS BEING PLAYED AT THE SAME TIME WITH EACH HAND!!!! This guy deserves an emmy!!!!!
This is beyond brilliant. RIchard Elliott is a genius. The Count was fantastic. The writing of this was perfection. I do not know how nine would give this a thumbs down. I enjoy this every time I Watch the dvd

And they even got the Count’s signature, the thunder and lightning.

What an organ performance in the SUPER MEGAFORCE version of Twelve Days Of Christmas.
I really enjoyed this! Motab meets Sesame Street and the Twelve days of Christmas. Richard Elliott is a magician on the Conference Center organ.
Love the way Mr. Elliott makes that marvelous organ come alive!!! That organ should be on the list for U.S. National Treasures!!!!! Great job, Mr. Elliott!!! Absolutely marvelous. Great arrangement!!!
Fantastic arrangement Mr Elliott and awesome collaboration with the Count. Love it!!!
Congratulations all around. Wonderful variations by Mr. Elliot. Blessings.
I have to agree
The one I liked the most (I went to each night) was when Count said "Count yourselves and get back to me!"
Man the Eleven pipers part was fantastic! I love this song. He has to be one of the Greatest organ player.
Count Von Count is impressed with Twelve Days Of Christmas, prepare to count up to the number 12. Would he do that with his friends back on Sesame Street during Christmas? Yes.
True virtuoso performance right there.
OMG, how fabulous was that!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen Mr. Richard Elliot & one of my favorite Sesame Street characters Count Von Count!
I was sitting on the 2nd tier of this performance and being able to see most of the room get the lightning effect was amazing.

Paul May his "go tell it on the mountain" is pretty funny too
Agreed
At 7:43 the little girl is too cute. Outstanding performance! Best ever!
To say nothing of how when the Count does his signature laugh, accompanied by lightning and thunder at 9:10, her face lights up in both fright and absolute joy at the same time. We love you, Count, and God bless you, Richard Elliot, for your dual performance. :)
I love the Count!
U r blessed u wonderful man playing the piano GOD Bless YOU I LOVE YOU
It's a pipe organ, not a piano because a pipe organ is louder than a piano.
Outstanding performace!!

I totally relate to the Count on a spiritual level.
Bravo !!
The little girl at 7:44 might be the next Richard Elliott. Mr Elliott could you please put off your retirement another 12 years so you can pass on the torch?
Oh, My Gosh that was amazing, I really hope he releases the sheet music for this!
+Joshua Miller I believe that his organ solos on the Christmas concerts are all improvised; I don't think I'd be able to play them...
I may have to resort to transcribing the piece like I did the last few.
The Schoenstein performed awesomely, as usual...
Mark Rocovich it always does
Fantastic!
Iam so so so happy with songs my dear one's
FANTASTIC!
Wow... You guys do such a beautiful job with the background!! PHENOMENAL!!!!
Good evening ,Bravo,

Ok now the question rises who had more fun, the organist or the guy playing the Count
The number 7 is my favorite number not only because of the 7 train in NYC but also Seven Swans A Swimming.
Awesome! Thank you.
Pure gorgeousness
gran pianista, se lució con las melodias

I must say this is so funny and cute to watch.
In Day 9 for nine ladies dancing & day 10 for ten lords a leaping from 12 days of Christmas, grab your dancing shoes & dance.
