Oh, just forgot to mention. You can save some weight, by replacing the batteries. I've got the same 14500 size, 800mAh of capacity, two of them weight about 42 g. But! There is Li-po square individual packs, they are a bit lighter. Can't tell exactly, but I've found one: Li-Po 48x30x4.5 mm - 900mAh.
So, double it in height, you get 48x30x9 mm. And +100mAh capacity
Stock double 14500 is 50x29x14.5 mm and 800mAh
Probably, 10G you can possibly save. 😊

Thanks for the video but on Aliexpress there are two references for the Nissan. 1899 and 1899s. do you know the difference between the two?

Despite it's weight, drifting looks very scale 😮
Real size cars don't drift and fly by the corners at 160 - 200 mph.
In your presentation, the model drifts pretty scale, as it was 40 to 50 mph in real life. So, It is good for me, I like scale and precision.
Lighter rc cars drives way to quick for my reaction time, because I got some brain issues. Delay in movements

Hello, great video. I'm waiting for mine to do the same tests. What surface material do you use to train?

Old projector screen turned over (on top of carpet). It's not bad but I added some cardboard sheets from the dollar store to smooth it out better

i wonder the height og both side wheels are not even , is this normal ? or i need to tune ?

Ride height? Should be the same but the spring on the rear end of the plastic body cars is soft and the suspension is tricky to get moving. On the metal body cars the springs are a lot stiffer. Best to check fi the suspension is sticking

I have this and and 2 of the others
the metal body is way better than the plastic ones
Give it a much heavier feel and it handles much better because of this
I think your surface might be to slippy so it’s a negative for you

l agree ...by the way l like your in depth review on such a cheap drift rc ...but easily see its worth the price as you can also tune it or tweek it

You could have tried to run it without the body. Since i want to change the body anyway - if the gyro on this so good that i dont have to change it this would speak vor this over the RX7 ones.

I did, there's a note - less weight, more twitchy gyro like the plastic cars, so I'm not sure the gyro is different. Might be that the servo is a little weak. The 1899 chassis is super stiff so it's hard to test without the body on. You need the stiffer springs/sway bars to run the heavy body, the plastic body springs are way too soft
