SERIOUSLY NOTHING will ever beat the first season of the oc. No other tv series to date has ever been as moving, heartfelt, and simply a-maaazzziinngggg as this drama.
Not gonna lie- I really started crying when they show Kirsten cleaning the pool house. Going from, “I don’t want this kid in my house.” to feeling like she lost her son.
I was a kid when watching this, damn Americans know how to make a great show. Probably my favorite show in drama segment alongside with One Tree Hill, why dont they make them like this today?(
+Khakonov I didn't watch One Tree Hill after 7th or 8th season. How did it end? It was going to shit when I stopped watching it. First 3-4 seasons were great though.
Brooke finally gets pregnant and has twins, Haley has another baby, Brooke marries Julian, Dan dies saving Nathan's life.. I honestly think you should watch it till the end, season 9 is very beautiful and intense.
Nothing captures true emotion like the first season of this show. You can practically feel the hurt and the sadness when you watch this. Love exists...and then life happens. This was the best episode in my opinion.

This scene is absolutely phenomenal, it really shows how much everyone changed. Like Ryan is leaving instead of staying, Seth leaves and you wouldn't expect that from him at the start of the season, Marissa is drinking alone and not with friends and Kirsten has grown to care forRyan a lot even though she despised him at the start.
i just can't stop watching this series, it seems so real and i just keep finding myself in this, there really made magic when they produced this, i love the o.c and it will always be apart of my childhood.
Years later I still love this scene and the emotions i invokes. It shows that even if you have everything, it's still worthless if you're not with the ones you love.

Nothing gets me in this as much as Kirsten sobbing her little heart out. The irony being that she didn't want Ryan to stay at the beginning. Gets me every time and Kelly Rowan kicked some serious ass. i can't watch that part without crying.
That gets me more than Marissa or Seth. She literally looks like a mother losing her son…the irony being she didn’t know at that time that Seth had run away.
Will go down in history as one of the greatest shows ever !! I'm so glad I got to watch it when it came out and couldn't wait till each episode came out
theres just something special about this show..i can watch it over and over again and it never gets old. There are other good shows but none of them could compare to the o.c

Not sure if anyone has noticed, but in the scene where Marissa dies another cover of Hallelujah (by Imogen Heap) is playing in the background. One is showing Marissa watching Ryan leave while the other is showing Ryan watching Marissa as she passes away.
I remember that I didn't like O.C. at the beginning but after this scene i fell for it and for four years it became my life. Shows like these should not be forgotten.

Not only does the beginning mention my name in a faith-oriented manner as I practice in my real life, but Ryan’s life is a mere reflection of my upbringing; from the adoption of a family after being kicked out, the family maintaining their faith in me through my ups and downs, and eventually becoming a construction project manager (highlighted at the end of the show). I today am a Redevelopment Project Engineer in Northern, CA which is the exact same thing as a Project Manager. I am now 25, driving a a new autumn fall red hard top convertible BMW coupe, with butter seats and on the verge of owning my own rental property. God works in mysterious ways 🙏🏼

Two of the saddest scenes involve Kirsten crying. First when, when Ryan leaves. Then again, when Ryan and Seth ask her to go to rehab. At least those are two scenes that make me cry.

Its one of those rare good soap operas that even a straight guy like me could enjoy and still enjoy to this day. There was always something about it that I could never lay a finger on. its just a great show that I'll always love.
