I love the tranquility of your videos. No unnecessary chatter and sometimes some beautiful music. Wonderful! And, of course, the added bonus of the furry companions sometimes: :-)
Tranquillity apart from kiddy-winkies reminds of the words to a certain song " KIDS Why can’t they be like we were, perfect in every way? What’s the matter with kids today?😁
Well you know damn well Im all for getting back out from suburbia.lol. But I do love a small village..One thing the canal through Stone has its beauty...Wonderful that you got belp..Traffic tho was prominant..Still I could watch you going through locks anytime at all..I simply love emerging from tunnels and even bridges..you just never know what's on the other side...Kids today Phil..even here its shameful.😟..im relieved you escaped that area..😳.Thanks. Once again!...😊. Your looking very good young man!!!😉
Another lovely vlog, thanks Phil. I don't blame you for rushing through those locks, what is wrong with the youth today. They don't realise they are destroying their own future. I was enjoying watching your vlog, then my cat Boots demanded I brush him in the middle of it, and obviously I had to obey!
A pleasant trip with a tidy well presented canal. Was wondering how long these little vandals stay a burden on society, and if a good swift kick up the arse and a few words might do a world of good. Thanks Phill, and do take care.
That was a special yellow inspection train, that travels the networking scanning the track, taking digital photos of any problems. Q. Why have 2 bicycles in the way ??
Nice one Phil. I have a soft spot for Stone. The modern flats just before Joules old brewery used to be a builders called Horace Poole. I used to work there in the early 70’s. Unfortunately Stone has developed a bit of a reputation in the last few years.
Great video Phil. Stone is a pretty, clean , nice looking town. Of course, kids everywhere can be mischievous. I'm curious, if you don't mind me asking; how many different narrowboats and cats have you had in those 30 years? Also, I've never seen anyone move a lever before, that was in front of you. May I ask what that is for? We had a 24 ' pontoon boat for years and, of course, we forgot to untie our ropes too from time to time. Getting in too much of a hurry. Been there, done that. Take care and travel safe out there Phil.
Fishing with rods. That was a keepnet where they hold all the fish caught. At the end of the session they weigh the fish and the one who has caught the most wins! Very sad really. The fish are then released.
Hi Phil. What were you doing in those locks? Pulling the boat through by hand. The weather improved for you, didn’t it. It’s very rare that you film In cloudy conditions. I would trust those kids any further than I could throw them. What I call vandalism
"Little darlings" is more like little sh#ts until I remember that this 66yr old was probably a little sh#t himself. But I agree with you you do have to be careful. Lovely Vlog as usual.
Such a nice vlog today.. I love how easy it is for me to follow along on Google Earth. I don’t get a chance to do that with some other vloggers. I appreciate your cruising pace and relaxed style… thank you💜
"little darlings," lol. Thanks for the video Phil. Lovely little town.
Didn't get it on camera but one lad was kicking a public waste bin to pieces.

Thank you. Probably cats and music in the next one...

Thank you. Back out into countryside for the next few videos...
Lovely Vlog , with pleasant music as always. You seem have found a patch of good weather.
Thank you so much 😊
It's so very nice having help on the locks especially if you're tired.
Great information for me before going there next year. Love the clear, authentic sound (no windnoise) and filming. Keep it up, Phil.
Thank you. Will do. ;-)
Thank you very much Phil. Enjoy your vids very much
Thank you kindly.
The Marks & Spencer’s on your right coming out of the lock do the best jam doughnuts 4 for a pound ! Just returned back home from Aston marina
Yes it is close to the canal. I didn't stop to explore that part of town. Will pass Aston marina in the next video.

26:09... A Marston's sign on a pub... a good sign... not the easiest pint to find here in Canada.
Great vlog as always. Beautiful scenery. Lovely relaxing cruise. Thank you for sharing. So nice to have help at the locks.
Hello Phil, Hope everything is going ok and keeping healthy to you and your cats!
That was a squeaky train. Ha! I loved bridge 95. It was long for a bridge next to a lock.
Glad the other boat went through after me so I didn't have to rush back under the road and close the gates.
@@NarrowboatJourneys oh wow! I didn’t think of that. That would have been a long walk just to close a gate.
Went through there last week. Impressed. A town which seems to have embraced it's waterway and made the most of it. (Unlike Stoke on Trent 😟)

Q. Why have 2 bicycles in the way ??
One bike for road use, one for muddy tracks.

There was a sign that had been defaced to say welcome to Stoner. Didn't get it on camera. The high street is nice.
Phil , when you first moved onto your narrowboat did you think you would still be living there 30 years later or has life just panned out that way ? .
I don't know? I never thought that far ahead.
I am always interested in the scenery. Is it legal to show peoples backyards in the cities?
Yes, it is.
Yes.

Thank you. One boat, six cats in 31 years afloat.
Lever is the gearstick.
Yes, the lever is the gearstick. Forward/neutral/reverse.
Phil before I forget? What were the men doing just before they 1st lock? On the right, trap?
Fishing with rods. That was a keepnet where they hold all the fish caught. At the end of the session they weigh the fish and the one who has caught the most wins! Very sad really. The fish are then released.
@@NarrowboatJourneys Thank you Phil, Enjoy the weekend my friend!
Love the focus on audio!

I try and avoid rain where I can because it gets on the camera lens and messes the video up.
@@NarrowboatJourneys So do I . Gets on the lens and on my glasses!

Is "lava" the skin tone of boaters during summer?
